Re: The Collins boys revisited!!

Birch, I was all set to post a reply here saying I was again wrong with regard to the pictures and information attached to "J.L. Collins and L.P. Collins".
Now I'm not sure. Here's what I found after posting my last reply.
The Collins family from New Orleans not only had the very capable WW2 Lt. General -Joseph Lawton "Lightning Joe" Collins. But a second son as well: Major General James Lawton Collins.
The J.L. Collins listed in the usa.csv is listed as a Major General, but his pic is labeled "Collins_Joseph". Thats good old "Lightning Joe".
L.P. Collins is listed as a Lt. General with multi traits, and a skill level of 4, (someone you sure want on your team) but with a pic labeled Collins_Lawton. hmmmm. That could be either James or Joseph. (You getting as confused as much as I).
"L.P. Collins" above may well be Leroy Pierce Collins, a Brigadier General who sat out the second half of the war in Northern Ireland.
My conclusion is:
1. Change the name Collins L.P. to Collins Joseph. That would give "Lightning Joe" the correct rank, skill and traits.
2. Change Collins J.L. to Collins James and change his pic to one of the no picture available. (I couldn't find a pic of him online.)

Darn Collin's...
Well as said I haven't done those collins, but I think it should be quite easy to find those pics on the web again (they are not mine) when I'm successfull in that, then I will know who is who.As you can see on the above postings Warlimont there are other mistakes in the US file (I have actually found a couple more myself...and that is why I have written in the where are now that the US file is under reconstruction.I knew we would have to do that
But please don't get me wrong.I really appreciate all the help I can get,but as you can guess it is a little difficult answering something you haven't been working with yourself...
(all I actually ever has done on that file was finding more pics)
Perhaps I should add that although the
www.generals.dk site also has faults in it,the owner of that site has actually been of invaluable help, not only is he my countryman,he has also supplied a few pics.and best of all he is a well know librarian who of course has worldwide links I have used shamelessly....
But since you started noticing this I have looked into it a little myself although I'm at the moment is working on other files (US is scheduled next week...
and I'm a little puzzled by this.:
Collins H.J.;60124;USA;3;0;1;0;5;0;collins_harry_j_usa;x
Collins J.F.;60125;USA;2;0;2;0;5;0;wood_johnS_usa;x
Collins J.L.;60126;USA;2;21;4;0;5;0;collins_joseph_usa;x
Collins L.P.;60127;USA;3;0;1;0;5;0;collins_lawton_usa;x
Notice the pic name for Collins JF...it begins to look for me as there is one Collins too many here. But I will as said have to find the original pics to determine that.and one more thing it is certainly not me who has applied the traits to JL...
seems a bit of a overkill.
Another thing I noticed is that in my pic file I have a pic named collins_joseph1. Now this is one of mine which actually implies that at a certain time I must have been aware that there was something wrong here.(that one clearly implies btw that they are different)
