    Updates log

    Updates in Independent Europe v 0.5:
    - Added THIS file to the scenario
    - Edited the randomevents.txt file and added a bunch of events (a few are borrowed from the EEP). There are now 318 random events.
    - Added and moved all CoTs. There are now eight CoTs spread around europe.
    - Relocated the national unit sprites:
    Russian sprite for all russian and ruthenian states
    Portuguese sprite for all italian and lombardian states
    Spanish sprite for all castillian, portuguese and catalonian states
    Moslem sprite for all berber states
    Turkish sprite for all turkish and tatar states
    Austrian sprite for all austrian states
    French sprite for all french, burgundian, provencian and aquitanian states
    English sprite for all anglian states
    Swedish sprite for all pommeranian states
    Dutch sprite for all dutch states
    Venecian sprite for all trade states (the eight CoT states)
    - Changed cultures in former CoT nations to closest culture
    - Changed all un-owned provinces to pagan religion and scandinavian culture (heathens).
    - Added UNKNOWN STRING WANTED-nation (SPR-tag) to replace Vologda (PAP-tag), which caused problems. (If a nation was at war with Vologda, all catholics had CB on the nation and if Vologda was annexed, all catholics had CB on the one owning Rome)
    - The PAP-tag is now a country on Tahiti (In the south pacific). They are currently Emperor of the HRE until monarchs and voting is corrected there.
    - Changed the colors on the maps in-game (such as CoT color, nation color and religion color (colorscales.csv by: LordBarkingDog))
    - Ruthenia changed to magyar-culture

    Updates in Independent Europe v 0.6:
    - Fixed the population in Volgograd
    - Fixed an error where magyar culture was mistakenly renamed to none
    - Remade the default.ai file
    - Added 2 new events to the randomevents.txt file (currently 320)
    - There are now leaders for all countries on the iberian peninsula, english islands and all greek-cultured states.
    - Implemented a rule, which controls provincal manpower and is based on provincal resource (All uncolonized land has manpower 0): (All values are divided by 4 ingame) Wool - 10, Grain - 8, Fish - 7, Naval Supplies - 7, Fur - 6, Cloth - 4, Wine - 4, Salt - 4, Metals - 2, The Rest, CoT - 0

    Updates in Independent Europe v 0.7:
    - Remade Independent Europe scenario to fit 1.06, so it will probably not work too good with 1.05.
    - Renamed provencian culture to provençal
    - Minor changes to the default.ai file
    - Minor changes to the RandomEvents.txt file
    - Replaced som older 8-bit graphics with 24-bits
    - There are now leaders and monarchs for all countries. However, the leaders don't seem to work at all. I'll look into this.

    Updates in Independent Europe v 0.8:
    - Made Rumelia know of Ragusa province
    - Added a group of events called FreEvents.txt which contains culture-adding events for all countries with one CB-shield on a specific culture. They now have a chance to recieve it through random events.

    Updates in Independent Europe v 0.9:
    - There's never been a v 0.9 and it will never do...

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.0:
    - All leaders are working!
    - Changed startdate to 1419, enddate remained (is 1800).
    - Independent Europe Scenario is compatible with "Peter Ebbesen's Superpower Scaled Random Events".
    - Remade the moddir, resulting in that the merchant-moddir bug became fixed!
    - Fixed the moddir-savegame error.
    - Corrected the order of the cultures in some states.
    - The Marche-province was langobardian, it is now italian.
    - The Holy Roman Empire now works as it should, electing the first emperor in 1420. Everyone in the HRE are electors, no one else.
    - Renamed catalonian culture to catalan
    - Added tahiti.ai for the PAP-tag (they should do nothing)

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.1:
    - Added core-shields to all revolting nations. Fixed some errors here too.

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.2:
    - Fixed a bug where the army of Alsace was in Silesia.
    - Included natives in all non-core provinces all over the world. They are aggressive!
    - Tweaked all religions ability to colonize. (+1 colonist/year)
    - Added a new scenario (starting 1559, with the Reformation and Jean Calvin), renamed the old one... (You can safely remove: Independent Europe Scenario.eug and Nations.inc)
    - Rearranged some sprites, all of them should be included in the game, as well as MKJs new polish sprite.

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.3:
    - Changed cultures in France and Germany
    burgundian -> franco-provençal
    aquitanian + provençal -> occitan
    austrian + swiss -> upper german
    pommeranian + 50% saxon -> lower german
    german + 50% saxon -> middle german
    czech + slovak -> czech (with some neighbouring provinces)
    langobardian -> umbrian
    - Deactivated freevents, as I hadn't had enough time to fix/update it.
    Updates to graphics:
    - Removed or replaced ALL graphics not made by me or officially released by Paradox.
    - The mod is now compatible with GUFSM 0.2. Feel free to try later versions as well.

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.31:
    - Fixed an error with tatar random leaders

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.4:
    - Removed a lot of unwanted entries in text.csv, as well as moving all event text to the file.
    - Culture changes, Silesia/Czech, Odenburg/Magyar, Presburg/Magyar, Carpathia/Magyar. Updated some nations with the new setup.
    - Reintroduced an updated freevents-file, now with 154 events (was 146)
    - There is now an option to start with 5 diplomats instead of 0.

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.41:
    - Fixed a bug in text.csv, where Ile de France was considered UNKNOWN STRING WANTED

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.42:
    - Removed a lot of unnecessary data, hopefully decreasing the zip somewhat
    - Hessen is now middle german, was lower german
    - Anglia had a treasury of 100 in both scenarios when everyone else had 400
    - Sudeten had orthodox tech group, this is changed to latin

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.43:
    - Istria lacked a CB shield on Dalmatia, it is now there
    - Options added:
    - Start with 0$
    - Start with 0 manpower instead of 100
    - Steiermark (country) had umbrian culture, when they were supposed to have slavonic culture
    - Roma was corsican while Sardinia was italian, cultures changed
    - Corrected an error in text.csv when gaining umbrian culture (the error was only in the english text.csv)

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.5:
    - All known text-bugs have been fixed (english version only)
    - Colonization have been made easier, especially in the Levant and Northern Africa.
    - Fixed a few culture and CB-shield bugs

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.51:
    - Fix the manpower option-thing as well as replacing 0$ start with 1000$ (does anyone play with 0$?)
    - Make culture in Galicia Portuguese together with other necessary changes
    - Did something to enhance the event-files...

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.52:
    - Made it possible for revolters to regain cultures via random events
    - Corrected the tax in Wessex, Flandern, Zeeland, Friesen, Berri, Prussia, Crete and Corfu.
    - Corrected state-cultures in Morbihan
    - Added AI-events, which are there to help the AI, mostly DP settings
    - Changed the DPs of most nations, maximum is now 8 from the beginning

    - Corrected a bug where any nation could get upper german culture by random event
    - Corrected a bug which allowed Brabant to get middle german culture several times
    - Gave Münster and Oldenburg the swedish blue-yellow sprites, like the rest of the low germans
    - Reworked the combat charts and introduced a fire-phase for early tech (affects infantry, warships and galleys)

    - Fixed the 1559-scenario
    - Made a few adjustments to the eventfiles

    - Added a nation; Ingermanland (in Ingermanland province), with new graphics, monarchs and leaders
    - AI changes due to new nation
    - New nation (Ingermanland) is also playable (changes to scenario files)
    - Added events around the new nation (culture-events)
    - Corrected taxvalue in Estland, Nyland and Ingermanland
    - Corrected the natives in Nyland and Kexholm
    - Corrected natives in Orenburg (more aggressive) and Iceland (weaker)
    - Added manpower in the North African and Levant provinces (Tangiers to Aleppo), since they are considered to be on the European continent
    - Changes in country.csv, all baltic provinces have Lithuanian language and Swedish sprites (except for Ingermanland with russian sprites)
    - Obsolote file: Independent Europe 1699 no luxury.eug, in Scenarios folder (and same as Independent Europe 1699.eug)
    - Made it a lot easier for nations with low land (DP) to get conquistadors and explorers
    - The file is now self-extracting

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.61:
    - Included Korath's DP-slider reminder events
    - Renamed Franché-Comte to Franche-Comté
    - Added Middle German as a state culture of Lorraine
    - Updated all files from Alun's Reformation Mod
    - Fixed a small mistake in the 1699-scenario (now possible to load at all)
    - Corrected the Baleares as revolter (revolted on the Canary Islands instead of the Baleares)
    - Added a lot of new nations (filled up Scandinavia, Finland, Russia, North of Caspian, Azerbaijan, Aleppo and Cyprus)

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.62:
    - Added monarchs for the 36 new nations in the previous patch
    - Fixed a few CB-shield errors and one misplaced army

    - Added COTevents for you to try, although they are still quite buggy (it's an option, deactivated by default)

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.64:
    - Made Aleppo orthodox and armenian and made the necessary changes
    - Everyone now start with mercantilism 10 in the 1419 scenario, to make merchant cheaper, lessen the cot flooding and make colonization a bit more difficult
    - Added a 1519-scenario where everyone start with mercantilism 8 and centralization 6. There are also a few other necessary changes, like population and techs
    - COT-option and Knowneurope-option now works as intended
    - Rearranged the 9 CoTs to 8 ones, changed starting nations as well (the eight new CoT-nations)

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.65:
    - Corrected cultures for a few countries
    - Added 29 culturenations, one for each culture, and you get an event when you've united all provinces of your first culture to switch nation
    - Corrected the reformation and it shall now happen as planned
    - Added an option (activated by default) to randomize all CoTs, the process will be done in 1420
    - You can no longer play the nation on Tahiti, but I added another nation (with the same name) which will work perfect for Off-Hand games
    - Added monarchs and leaders for the culturenation, graphics comes in a separate patch (IndependentGFXUPDATE_1.7b.zip)
    - Activated a random factor for Alun's reformation mod so the Reformation can either be small, normal or large (the same with Jean Calvin and the reformed religion)
    - Renamed castillian culture to castilian

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.66:
    - Fixed a minor mistake in culturenationevents.txt and IESevents.txt
    - Added regionnationevent.txt, events that allow you to form an "Empire" when you control all provinces belonging to your cultures (thanks TheLoneTaco!)
    - Fixed a silly bug that "disabled" all culturenationevents
    - Changed the triggers for getting explorers and conquistadors, they are now dependant on naval and trade tech instead of a fixed year
    - New monarchs and leaders for Vologda since they were all messed up
    - Fixed a lot of leader ID bugs and a few monarch ID bugs as well

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.67:
    - Added 27 new nations and 2 new culturenations to cover Northern Africa and the Middle East
    - Added everything related to the new nations, such as modified events, cores, leaders and monarchs (graphics comes is a separate file)
    - Removed all friendly natives (northeast of the Caspian Sea)

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.68:
    - Added another 5 new nations, Toubkal, Batn al Hajar, Nubia, Sudan and Medina, all sunni (there are now 298 nations!)
    - Added everything related to the new nations, such as modified events, cores, leaders and monarchs (graphics comes is a separate file)
    - Made all religions have +2.00 yearly colonists
    - Changed all natives to be more tolerant towards Trade Posts but more aggressive towards Colonies
    - Changed culture in Sinai from egyptian to arabic
    - Changed religion in Ragusa from catholic to orthodox
    - Smoothened up the random CoT process
    - Made a lot of tag swapping to save some graphics space
    - Fixed and updated the 1519 scenario
    - Updated the .ai files
    - Fixed a few errors in country.csv, there are now a few more unique sprites used
    - Made all 192 flags 8-bit instead of 24-bit shrinking the download size

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.69:
    - Updated the random events to 1.08 standard, as well as tweaking them further
    - Fixed a bug with the state cultures for Sardinia and Latvia
    - Fixed a monarch name bug for Mantua
    - Replaced all admirals with generals, no more naval leaders

    Updates in Independent Europe v 1.7:
    - There are now 24 starting shields instead of 8. Hopefully, those 24 nations are a bit easier than the average IES nation
    - Added a new option where the AI can have BB reduction events, hopefully saving their empires from destruction
    - Overhaul of events:
    - Disabled regionnationevents, probably permanent
    - Added addcoreevents that randomly gives you a core on a non-cored province you own
    - Completely reworked the AI events to give simulate better DP changes
    - Culturenations now have a permanently reduced revoltrisk by 2
    - Removed added basetax att high centralization for events that gives provincebuildings
    - Changed the event that gave tax collector to a province to give it a basetax boost instead
    - The pricereduction for those kind of events reworked, making it more expensive
    - Removed most VP penlaties in certain event options

    Updates in Independent Europe 2005-12-03:
    - Updated everything there was to update to make the IES playable together with the 1.09 patch, thus:
    \- Emilia no longer has a port and a navy
    \- Cantabria and Algarve both got a port and a navy
    \- IES changes, where Kola and Arkhangelsk has ports stays
    - Replaced all goldmines around the world with salt (as they had a minevalue of 0 anyway)
    - Remade the rating system, replacing Difficulty, Economy, Military and Diplomacy with Quality, Economy, Landfocus and Culture:
    \- Quality is a generalization of the all monarchs and leaders of that nation.
    \- Economy gives a hint of the basetax in the capital, and the opposite of how many cores you start with (less tax, more cores).
    \- Landfocus gives a hint of the location (and if you get a navy or not) and starting Domestic Policies.
    \- Culture is a generalization of the total amount of state cultured province the nation can get.
