While aquiring holy sites for reforming the Germanic faith, I accidentally ended up as King of Denmark. Now that the faith is reformed, I would love to become Fylkir and make my own kingdom out of that title instead of being the king of Denmark, and so I am now trying to lose the kingship. However losing a primary title is easier said than done, anyone got any smart ideas on how to step down from the kingship and return to being a duke? I can lose the Fylkirate if I have to. As long as I have the claim, I can get it back in my hands in the future.

This is Ironman btw, so no console.

How about switching to Elective succession? You could elect someone from a different dynasty and rebel for independence. Afterwards conquer the lands back.

I think Sigurdr Ring might be a tad OP. I restarted as him instead and reformed in just 20 years, and most of that time was waiting for a claim. I ended it all with a prepared invasion on Charlemagne and took all his shit... And all that without picking up any damn kingdom titles this time. Now I will make my Holy Germanic Empire all across Europe and sacrifice Charlemagne on the next blot. :D

Oh, and the viking age didn't start yet.
