Seasonal effects just cosmetics or is this impact on gameplay aswell? For ex. Vikings cant cross some rivers during winter? or Generally raising armies at winter upkeep costs more? you get the idea. So any of you know something about this? In the end who plays this game on terrain map mode?

I believe it give a battle modification and if I remind well, you have now a "snow" commander trait. So it is not just cosmetic.

Definitely not just cosmetic, we know attrition rates go up in winter from the patch notes. Not sure about the rest, though.

Good at least some good will come from it I hope they do more stuff with winter thing and movement gets harsh penalties during it.
