1. Vichy Event fired, but nothing happened even though I know 100% I clicked yes, never seen that happen in all my years playing, what happened?

2. Has anyone managed to get G.I.P working with AOD steam version? I managed it with my DVD box on my old PC but with steam it's a no go.

you can use gip or any other mod , just turn off in steam the veryfing of files integrity

Darn, they did reject it, wow, never seen that happen before!

G.I.P: tried installing by overwriting as I have always done and then if the launcher works there is nothing in the campaign/scenarios/save games screen

This is a surprise for me too. Nice to see the good game design able to exclude a usually pre-determined event; and add real "fog of the future".
