Hello and Welcome to Continental Authority: Africa! I am naxhi24, you may know me from playing games like A Question of Powers, Masters of the Galaxy, and Napoleon's Legacy. I hereby welcome you to this new game on these Paradox Forums! This game is like the games mentioned before, but with a twist. These games are in the present day, and they focus on only one continent.
Rules and Procedures
The rules are fairly simple. You send orders (explained below) to me, and I will write the orders in the update.
We start in the year 2014, and each turn we will progress another year. Each year brings with it another update, stat renovations, and other things. Mini-Updates will also be common throughout this game if something like a big-battle happens. Now ever 15 turns, we will take a week off before proceeding into the next turn, so after Turn 15, we will wait two weeks before the updates for turn 16.
Now, for those who have played games like World in Revolution, or A Question of Powers, there is a catch for your orders. By using a program online, me and the other GMs will roll for your nation. Rolls are like dice rolls, the higher number you get, the better outcome you receive for your order, and vice versa.
Also, keep in mind about your population and various legislatures and politicians in your country. You are also playing as your country's head of state/government. You may try to be a dictator and completely control your population, but it may have dire implications on your country.
Orders
Orders are what you want your country/military to do for that year. They are simple, and the only rule about them is that they be reasonable (So no creating black hole generators or other nonsense). Depending on your country's strength depends on how many orders you receive. This may change, but I will say so on this thread if they do.
The orders must be sent to me or your respective GM (list below). Orders may be stacked too (So you can spend two orders on one event).
Orders are divided between two types:
Normal Orders: They can be anything and everything. Centered on 5 with a variation of 2.5
War Orders: They can only be used if your nation is in direct combat and can only be used to direct military action against an internal/external military force.
Orders are always due Saturday at 12:00 PM Eastern United States Time. If you are late, it is -1 for your roll for every hour late. The Update will nominally be on Monday or Tuesday with Stats to follow.
Nation Tiers
Tier 1: South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt
Tier 2: Ethiopia, Angola, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Ghana
Tier 3: Kenya, Libya, Botswana, Madagascar, Chad, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Tanzania.
Rebel Tier: LRA, Al-Shabaab
Tier 1: 3 Normal Orders, 3 War Orders
Tier 2: 3 Normal Orders, 2 War Orders
Tier 3: 2 Normal Orders, 2 War Orders
Rebel Tier: 1 Normal Order, 3 War Orders
Rebels: Rebels are something new I decided to add, since you cannot have Africa without Rebels. Two rebel groups will be played, and since they do not have to worry about GDP or anything a government does at first, they get one normal order for recruitment and such, and three war orders. That will change if they manage to overthrow a government.
Coldfront
We have a coldfront! It is on http://www.coldfront.net/tiramisu/. Come on down, create a nickname, and join us at #Continental. IRC is not mandatory, but it would make contact with other players easier.

Stats:
Stats are basically little blocks that tell you what your nation is at. Here is what each part of a stat means:
Countries Name
Player: Who is playing the nation
Government: What type of government this nation has, though in Africa, this can be misleading.
Population: How many people live in this country.
GDP: Gross Domestic Product, the economic output of this nation.
Balance
Income: How much money this nation makes.
Expenses: How much money this nation has to spend.
Treasury: How much money this nation currently has/ how much this nation is in debt.
GDP Composition
This is divided into three sectors, agriculture, industry, and services. This shows what part of your economy makes up the most/least of your total GDP.
Development
Infrastructure: How good this nation's roads, railways, electricity circuits, ETC, are. (Infrastructure can only be improved a level (from poor to good) if 5 infrastructure orders succeed, hence all the fractions. (Rank= Terrible-Poor-Good-Great.))
Literacy: What percentage of this nation's population can read and write.
Educational Development: Based off of the average literacy, so if this nation has 40% literacy, something must be wrong with its education system. (Rank= Terrible-Very Poor-Poor-Below Average-Average-Great-Fantastic)
Stability: How stable this nation is. (Rank= Extreme Instability-High Instability-Unstable-Low Instability-Neutral-Low Stability-Stable-High Stability-Extreme Stability.)
Military
Army
Infantry: How many ground personal this nation has.
Tanks: How many heavy armor this nation has.
