So, here is 0.62.8.

THIS IS ALSO THE FINAL DEVELOPMENT STAGE OF 0.62, ALL FURTHER WORK WILL GO INTO 0.70.

I have to admit that I have more or less stopped working on the mod, but Hagar has jumped in with a vengeance producing heaps of improved graphics. Some of them will only work with this version, since there are references to the filenames in tech team files etc.

Zsar still sends in an occasional mail, so there is some of his stuff here.

Drats, it seems you're right... Trust the Major to notice something like this. ;) Consider it corrected for the next update.
 
Hi, any chance for alternative download link for the main file? Gamefront seems to hate my people, and apparently you can't DL files from there if you're from Poland...

As far as I'm concerned it's the mod of all mods, jonathan. It set it's tone of excellence and historical accuracy way back in the days of HoI1 and has held to that line assiduously ever since. They don't come better.
 
Well, 0.62.8 is actually on the way to 0.62 rather than 0.63. The changes are in the graphics, so checking for missing Event pics etc. is the way to go ATM.

True... But the changes to the graphics have been considerable in 0.62.7 and 0.62.8, notably event imagery and TT imagery. So both can't be considered to be 'just a new patch'. The events have had a full review, and most of them have customized event imagery. Including almost every stopover of Emelia Earhart's world navigation attempt, and about half of the death/funeral events. Someone has had way too much time on his hands lately. :eek:o
 
Checks with Validator report nothing so events should be fine, sadly I'm not able to have it check for misspelled or missing event pics. Techteams should be fine although my last check on them was several versions ago and I won't check them again because the large comment section is not in proper .csv format.

For a future version we may want to have a look at the 1.09 data files, especially how Pang set up the initial trade convoys.
I really whish we merge the infantry division techs again in a future version to permit tech sharing + offering some tech space for a date extension or more models.
 
Did you change something in the last beta/.628 to boost NatChina or weaken Japan? In my last games with these versions Jap has always had a hard time in China which meant Pearl Harbor never occured. By contrast, in previous versions Jap regularly conquered India. Could be random chance though but it doesnt seem so

However DeGaulle and Reynaud cannot be HOG before 1940 (per minister file). So this alternative event will never occur.
The ML leader for this period is Pierre Laval.
 
Something for Teg to answer, methinks... He's away on holiday at this moment, so please have some patience before we can get back on this.
 
Due to a bad .exe behaviour with loading ship silhouette images from the mod folder (doesn't work if no file of the same name is present in vanilla gfx folder) CORE is forced to place the images into the vanilla gfx/interface/models folder as well. If you now play vanilla AoD you may notice a mix of vanilla and CORE'd ship silhouettes.

Attached is a small fileset to be placed in vanilla AoD gfx\interface folder (unpacks in models subfolder) that replaces most CORE'd images with vanilla images, it should not affect images shown in CORE.

With the SOV purges; if you have no purges, you have a 90% chance per month(?) of 1 dissent, with no maximum dissent level, until the end of the game, except while you are at full mobilisation status (ie at war?).
Is this correct? And the effect of having (all) the purges is to reduce the chance of unrest from 90% to 30%?
