I got the Robin Hood event playing as the king of Wales, I choose the archery contest and made Robin Hood my marshal. However, since then - The event has kept happening, and this has lead me to have 5-6 Robin Hoods. How do I stop this from happening?

Had the same thing. It fired 3 or 4 times. It's a bug. I think it goes away eventually.

Definitvely a bug. The file ("legends.txt") suggests you should get a character flag if the event fired, but something somewhere seems to have gone awry in there... Paradox may come to fix it, eventually, if you report it; but I believe this is rather low priority. It's a funny bug, after all

It is one of two flavour event chains, which are really rare; the other one is the gates of hell. By looking in the files the Robin Hood one has actually been reduced, so now it only has a MTTH of 2000 months; it is also a really complex chain and you could end up having it without realising---i.e. just being robbed in the woods like the normal robber event.

I had this happen to me too! I ended up with 3 Robins as it kept going until the malus disappeared from my county. They all had a Martial score of Lvl 19 so I wasn't complaining.
