Several of my friends have the game and we enjoy playing together. Due to widely disparate skill levels they refuse to play versus me. However when we play the same dynasty I can ease them in the game and help them learn the mechanics and win a few wars. If you have friends who might get into ck2 I recommend this approach while skyping with them.

Recently I played a 1066 game with one where we were both Arpad dukes in Hungary which was a lot of fun. I can think of a few others:
-1066 start there is a father/son dukes
-967 all dem Karlings
-1066 I believe there are a number of interrelated Rus dukes

Any other suggestions same dynasty rulers you can think of? (independent from each other or same level rulers preferred, but anything is great)

Try Rurikids dukes inside Golden Horde and try to get independence and form Russia, but if there are bad players better chose late Golden Horde where their actual horde, we played in early Golden Horde and I must say ck2 turned into survival horror.
