Nation: Austrian Empire
Character Name: Crown Prince Rudolf
Age: 21
Date and Place of Birth: 21 August 1858 in Laxenburg, Austria.
Biography: Born to Emperor Franz Josef of Austria, the emperor of Austria that came to power as Ferdinand I abdicated in the year of 1848. He overlooked the signing of the 1850 constitution, which somewhat limited his power. He did this to appease the rebellious people of his empire, especially the Magyars. This very conservative constitution signified the nature of Franz Josef; a very conservative ruler in a time of liberalism. His heir, Rudolf, was a stark contrast. He was a liberal, understanding that progress was very important in modern times. He currently remains unmarried, but is hoping to find a bride soon.

Nation: United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway
Character Name: Lovisa I of house Bernadotte
Age:23
Date and Place of Birth: 1857/10/19 Stockholm
Biography:

Oscar I's story was a tragic one. Not only would he oversee the transition of power from the Monarch to the parliament, but his family would see tragedy after tragedy unfold. His first issue with queen Josephine, prince Karl, died of high fever only three years old. His second son, prince Oscar, died at the age of twelve, when an airline ferry from Stockholm to Åland crashed into the Baltic Sea. Princess Eugenie was stillborn, and his only surviving son Prince August was made the puppet of the Swedish-Norwegian crown, sent to be crowned king of the Baltic Union at age 22.

Lovisa was by then the sole surviving issue, born of Oscar I new wife princess Constanza, and in 1875 when king Oscar passed away, the parliament found itself to reaffirm that the now head of the Baltic Union was removed from the line of succession, with Lovisa being the sole heir, as to prevent any diplomatic incidents with Germany or Russia over a potential personal union with the Baltic states.

As Queen, Lovisa has shown every sign of playing the part of a progressive, curious constitutional monarch, and have made great efforts to involve herself in innovative sciences and technology. With an open disgust for the capitalists seizure of property in Stockholm and their careless accumulation of wealth with only bare trinkets left as wages for their struggling labourers, the queen took to involve herself more heavily in politics during her second year by urging the parliament and her government to pass a series of laws to increase the freedom and rights for the trade unions.

Her government also needed to face the challenge to stabilize the functioning union of her two crowns, where the Norwegian parliament is struggling to remain as independent from its Swedish counterpart as possible can be. As the only unifying symbol remaining of her house, it is up to Lovisa to keep the union intact, and guide her government in working for her people to a bright and enlightened future.

Nation: Principality of Montenegro
Character Name: Josip Ognjen
Age: 16
Date and Place of Birth: 1864 Mojkovac, Rascia Region, Principality of Montenegro
Biography: Josip is a simple farmer whose family lives on the outskirts of the small town of Mojkovac. He has grown up hearing the tales of his grandfather, and papa fighting for independence from the Turks. Like all young men he dreams of doing great things, being a war hero, or changing his country for the better. Young Josip also shares the same fears of his countrymen that their minuscule nation will fall in their lifetimes. This is because the Principality of Montenegro is sandwiched between two giants, the Austro-Hungarian Empire to the west and the Ottoman Empire to the East. He wishes to help free Montenegro's Slavic brethren from the clutches of these monstrous empires as well. Still what can a simple farmer do?

Nation: The Khedivate of Egypt
Character Name: Tewfik Pasha, khedive of Egypt and the Sudan
Age: 27
Date and Place of Birth: 15 November 1852, Cairo
Biography: Tewfik was the eldest son of Khedive Ismail. He was not sent to Europe to be educated like his younger brothers, but grew up in Egypt. In 1878 he was appointed president of the council after the dismissal of Nubar Pasha. He held this office only for a few months; but this was long enough to show that, if he was unambitious and not particularly intelligent or energetic, he had the wisdom to refrain from taking a part in the intrigues which then formed the chief part of political life in Egypt. He then returned to his estate, and settled down once more to a quiet country life. He was not left undisturbed for long; on 26 June 1879, Ismail was deposed by the sultan, who sent orders at the same time that Tewfik should be proclaimed Khedive. Since then, Tewfik has struggled with managing the chaotic Egyptian state.

Nation:Spain
Character Name: King Juan III de Bourbon
Age:21
Date and Place of Birth: Madrid,Spain 1859
Biography:

Juan is the second son of Queen Isabella. During his brothers conquest he served as his brothers right hand and helped him claim the throne during the Carling Rebellion, when his brother became King he was placed as head of foreign affairs keeping the borders Spain to their natural state and helped bring stability to the nation by touring to important cities that still had some sort of resentment for his brother. Fate wasn't kind to his brother as Alfonso caught smallpox and could not lead the country properly, at times Juan had to stand in for his older brother and deal with internal affairs.

Months passed as Alfonso's situation didn't seem to get better and on one night, the nurse's tending to him everyday found him motionless in his bed. It didn't take them long to realize that King Alfonso died in his sleep, and quickly the royal family was called to gather to Alfonso's bed chamber. After short tears they turned to Juan to know what to do next, Juan suggested that they do not announce his brothers death immediately as it would spark unnecessary tension from former republic supporters. So for a while they had to keep it a secret, as Juan acted as his brother and had a search for the former republic supporters and had them deported out of the country once captured. After remaining threats were eliminated they announced the news of the Alfonso's death, and days later Prince Juan III of Spain was crowned King of Spain.

Nation: Helvetic Republic
Character Name: Josef Wilhelm Schenk, Minister-President of the Helvetic Republic
Age: 54
Date and Place of Birth: 19 June 1826, Aarau
Biography: Born on the 19th of June, 1826 in the Helvetic Republic's capital city, Aarau, Josef Wilhelm Schenk was the son of a wealthy merchant turned politician who held a seat in the nation's Grand Council. Owing to this he was sent to the best schools in Europe, gaining the best education possible. Following his completion in 1844 he attended the University of Oxford and graduated in 1851 with a degree in economics and another in cultural studies. Returning to the Republic in the following year his father introduced him into the political scene and he was elected to the Grand Council. He quickly became a well known individual in the chambers for his vibrant and thundering speeches and his ability to attract individuals, further he was well liked by all that came into contact with him. It was thus with no surprise that when the incumbent Minister-President, Johann Konrad Kern, resigned in 1856 owing to a failure of one of his bills that Schenk was named as acting Minister-President until new elections for the position could be held. Later that year the Grand Council and representatives from the Cantons had an extraordinary session and he was confirmed for a full mandate of five years. Proving himself a masterful tactician he built up a following in the Grand Council and proceeded to place his loyalists into various government positions and also garnered many to be elected in the Cantoons. With such a huge power base it has been no surprise that he has been re-elected in 1861, 1866, 1871, 1876 and is looking to win the 1881 elections, but only time will tell.

Nation: Empire of France
Character Name: Napoléon François Charles Joseph Bonaparte
Age:69
Date and Place of Birth: 1811/03/20 Paris
Biography:

Ascended to the French Empire Throne on the terrible 10 of june 1815, the day the Greatest man to be ever alive suddenly succumbed to death, Napoleon I Bonaparte. As a 4 year old, not much could be done by the little boy as the great Empire built by his father crumble apart by infighting between his own generals and politicians. Only one man stood up for the Little Emperor and the French Empire, Marshall Louis-Nicolas d'Avout. The great Hero of the French Hegemony Collapse, with the little emperor he became de facto regent of the empire and fought tooth and nails to preserve as much as he could, giving lands to the Italians, and defeating all the ones trying to usurp or return to the republic. As Napoleon II grew he was taught by Marshall d'Avout and many other illustrious men of France. At age 20 he fell in love (though many said d'Avout had simply made it happen) with the youngest of the Marshall's daughters and they got married.

Napoleon II and d'Avout even though not Napoleon I, had success in the Conquest of Algeria from the Ottoman Grasp and Liberating the Greek (now led by the Bonaparte's Greek Branch) from the failing empire hands, and the modernization and rebuilding of the French armed forces.

His marriage with d'Avout daughter has Produce 4 children: Napoleon III married to a Bavarian Princess and with 3 children of his own, Louis-Nicolas in honor of the marshall, single at his 35 years old, Lousie, the 30 years old princess that still haven't accepted to marry and live with her sister in Holland for much of the year, and his younger daughter Josephine, married to her second cousin Charles II king of the Netherlands.

Now in his 70, many doubt how much longer he will life as his son Napoleon III eagerly awaits the crown for himself.

Nation: The Kingdom of Naples
Character Name: Luciano Charles Joseph Napoléon Murat, King of Naples and Sicily
Age: 76
Date and Place of Birth: 16 May 1803, Milan
Biography:

Luciano was born on the 16th of May, 1803, in the city of Milan. When Joachim Murat was granted the Kingdom of Naples, Luciano, along with the rest of his family, moved to the royal palace in Naples. He was raised at the palace until 1813, when he was sent away to be educated in Austria. Luciano's education ended in 1822. After his education, Luciano became the head of the conservative faction within the court.

In 1831, Luciano visited the United States with his brother and met his wife Caroline during the trip. Achille approved of the marriage and gave them his blessing. He had four children with Caroline.

After Achille's death in 1847 with no issue, Luciano ascended to the throne. The most significant moment of Luciano's reign was the adoption of a constitution. The people who were demanding a constitution threatened to rebel. Luciano's advisors told him that the rebellion would be large in scale. Fearing that the Kingdom of Italy would take advantage of the rebellion, Luciano accepted the constitution, limiting some of the king's powers.

With Luciano in his 70's, many do not doubt that the Crown Prince Joachim will take the throne soon.
