Kurdistan is very stronk!

Stronk indeed, but those victories were won by the slimmest of margins. The Kurdish army is really not huge, it ran the whole war on a shoestring budget of scarce supplies and even scarcer manpower.

I am curious to see what the New Order in the middle east shall be :) I think Kurdistan really needs proper puppet states desperately, just to make better use of the manpower in the middle east.

It is of stronkest!

Yes. I focused on upgrading the militias to infs, armed all units with art. Then, the IC was dedicated on supplies because I kept all units on offensive 24/7. I've also reached 0 manpoewr during the war against the Ottomans.

However, I decided to start off with an update of the world instead of the new ME order. It was planned with just one world update, but since I have to look back since 1936, I have to divide it by continents again - 3 updates instead of 1.

Update coming soon

Sorry for the long delay. The wonderful "Zhirinovsky's Russian Empire" took a lot of my time.

A World Away From the Sun: Part 1

curtis_zpsc9b41134.png

Charles Curtis
President of the United States of America
1936 - 1937

Perhaps the most interesting example of having a notorious reputation is to be at
the helm when the ship sinks. It doesn't matter if the actions you took or didn't took
caused the catastrophe – directly or indirectly. You were there, so it's your fault.
A fate so terrible that historical oblivion is preferable. You are, inescapably, the last
emperor of a dying empire, and you shall be remembered for that; and so, it didn't
come up as surprising when the last US President, Charles Curtis, became the last
emperors gallery's latest exhibition.

The Great Depression, also known as
the Black Monday or the Berlin Stock
Market Crash, have devastated this nation.
In November, Charles Curtis became
the new president. Two weeks later,
the radical wings of new America rose up
and defied the results of the election.
By January, the Socialists from the north
have initiated a general New Years strike
that paralyses the nation; and the Firsters
from the south rallies to “purge [their]
infected nation of all its Socialist virus”.
usriots_zps6ec7c810.png
General Strike
uswar01_zpsa4601c35.png
National Guard in St. Louis
The new inaugurated administration
refused to negotiate with the strikers,
causing the strike coverage to spread more.
President Curtis, then, sent the National
Guard where they received a decisive
defeat from the surprisingly well-armed
strikers in St. Louis on the 2nd of March
1937 – spreading shock waves throughout
the country. The next day, Long have
declared that St. Louis have killed America,
and proclaimed the new Union of America.
In effect, the Firsters have declared war
against the Curtis government. Two days
later, the Socialists, too, have denounced
the Curtis government, and proclaimed
the Combined Syndicates of America.
More secessions occurred when
the Canadians have initiated Defence
Scheme No. 1; New England was
conquered, and became its own nation
under the former's protection. The western
states along the Pacific have seceded from
the US federation as well, and asked
Canada to join the Entente to protect itself
from aggressions coming from the east.
The western states soon banded together
to become the Pacific States of America.

The Pacific States clashed with United
States troops on their border, both risking
an escalation. It didn't took long until a US
battalion or a PS battalion – depends on
who tells the story - raided and pillage
a border town from the opposing side and
massacred its inhabitants. Canada faced
the tough choice of either rejecting the call
of war from a full Entente member or go
to war against the United States.

By the 4th of April 1937, the Entente
declared war against the United States
government. Soldiers from Canada and
her American allies, PSA and New
England, have invaded US territories.
This shocking episode on how the exiled
empires have chosen a smaller breakaway
republic over the larger and older
federation have been regarded by
the federalists Americans as the “Great
Betrayal”.

The war quickly turned against
the Federalists who are fighting
the Syndicalists, the Firsters, and
the entire Entente alliance –
the Federalists are retreating on all fronts.
By the 13th of August 1937, President
Curtis have died. It was a common gossip
that he died of grief.

From the following power vacuum, 5 Star
General MacArthur have took over
the federal government, and elbowed
the Vice-President and place him on house
arrest. The new leader of the Unites States
vowed that they shall win in the end.
Scorched-earth policy was enacted,
ordered directly by the General himself,
as they retreat. The “Federalist Terror” as
it is now known have left America
a desolated land as the Entente forces
advance.

General MacArthur
Initiates a General Take-over

A month later, 3rd of September, Dictator
MacArthur surrendered to the Entente at
the strong persuasion of his generals,
especially General Eisenhower. He
surrendered, but only after he denounced
his subordinate generals and also his foot
soldiers of cowardice and treason.

After the defeat of the United States,
the Entente are clueless on how to
proceed. Dissolving the union would only
allow the Syndicalists and Firsters to
quickly swallow the newly independent
states. Thus, Ottawa decided to simply
return the US government, except that
they will renounce their claims on New
England and PSA. General Eisenhower was
handpicked to become the dictator of
America.

The new dictator's first move is to squash
the so-called Union of America, headed
by President Long. The work was already
done by the Entente, mostly the French,
that President Huey Long surrendered
5 days after MacArthur's surrender.

The new President-General of the United States

The new United States, headed by (now) President Eisenhower, have stopped with
the civil war and began rebuilding the country. American troops even sail as far as
Russia and China to fight Entente's enemies. Yet the Syndicalists still stands,
surrounded by their enemies. CSA is under siege; and by 1943,
President Eisenhower is eager to invade the CSA, and break his vassalage to
the British-Canadian overlordship.

That can only end well, eh.:p

I think Kaiserreich may be the only game where a war between Canada and the US ends in a curbstomp - of the US. :)

mapusa_zpse208337b.png

The CSA peace out for some reason. I really don't know what happened since I'm more focused on the Old World.

The next update will be posted soon. There will be three world updates, including this one: One for South America and India, second goes to the Far East, and lastly goes to the European War between Mitteleuropa and the Internationale. I'm also thinking about two Kurdistan ending posts: one in the post-war Kurdistan and another one somewhere in the future (1970s?). I may or may not include the latter. We'll see.

What about 1996? It is my birth year

A World Away From the Sun – Part II

~Two is Too Many~

South America, unlike its northern neighbour, does not have one power dominating
the arena - it has two. The continental divide between the two colossus became wider
when the Syndicalists have risen in power in three South American countries.
The struggle between the Old Regime and the New Order would inflame this mostly
forgotten continent.

sa-depression_zpsc8a00f7d.png

Protests in La Plata
Brazil and La Plata were not immune from
the effects of the Berlin Crash. Economic
turmoil have rocked the stability of both
nations. La Plata used to have
the upper-hand with her excellent trade
relations with German-dominated Europe;
hence the nickname “Granary of the World”.
The Berlin Crash ended all that.
Exports plummeted and the favourable
trade agreements with Germany were
cancelled. German military and economic
aid were also revoked.

For more than a decade since the defeat of the Bolsheviks during the Russian Civil
War and the rise of Syndicalist France and Britain, the Communist Party of Brazil
remained resilient and still activate during the 1930s. However, the party is at its
final breath. By 1935, the Communist Party of Brazil have announce their
disbandment. The establishment have release a sigh of relief from the news, however,
the disbandment of the Communists have led to the splintering and the re-energizing
of the Leftist movements.

It didn't took long for the Syndicalists,
followers of French-style Socialism, to rise
out of the decaying corpse of
the Communist Party. Promises of land
reform for the peasants and workplace
democracy for the factory workers were
sweet music to the ears of the Proletariat.

The Syndicalist 'Alianca Nacional
Libertadora' in Brazil won a stunning
victory in the Presidential Elections of
1936. The Platineans reinforced the border
in response to this startling outcome.

A Brazilian Farm
The new government have immediately
implemented Socialist reforms and
policies. Land reform was passed,
nationalisation of industry (Brazilian and
foreign owned), introduction of tax on
Church property, and the overhaul of the
economy towards Syndicalist lines.
In foreign policy, Brazil found friends who
also took Syndicalist leaders on the bridge;
Venezuela and Bolivia signed an alliance
with Brazil.
triple-alliance_zps4fa74f39.png

Its rival, La Plata, becomes uneasy with
the blasphemous reforms that its northern
neighbours are undertaking. Expansion of
the armed forces was approved.
Clandestine support was given to
the Reactionary revolt in Brazil, headed
by General Vargas.
civilwar1_zps0cc3180d.png

New Conscript Army in the Brazilian-Platinean Border
It became inevitable that war between
the two powers would happen when
the underhanded support was discovered
by Brazilian authorities. Conscription was
introduced in Brazil to combat
the renegade armies and the looming
Platinean threat. By March 1939, the civil
war was over, and the purging of
the military was completed.

By 1941, a border skirmish finally sparked the war between Brazil (and her allies)
against La Plata. The war have raged for two years; a slow sluggish match that
resembles the First Weltkrieg. The Syndicalists, though, are slowly pushing against
the Platineans with the capital, Buenos Aires, at their sights. It seems that victory is
on the side of Socialism in South America.

~Red Island~

Bhartiya Commune was one of the Indian states that claims to be the successor of
the fallen British Raj. A Syndicalist state that isn't as Syndicalist as you might have expected.

bhar-cabinet_zps78f57993.png
The Social Democrat faction have elbowed
their way to power during the 1935-36.
This means that the reformation of
the state towards French-style Socialism
was greatly softened. The promise of land
reform by the previous administration was
rejected, to the great dismay and anger of
the more leftist members of the council.
Pressures from France, Britain, and their
domestic rivals, forced the Social
Democrats to accept land reform and
four-year industrialisation plans. Even then,
these reforms and four-year plans are very
moderate.
One of the benefits of this approach is that
the Bhartiya Commune have managed to
keep its stability intact, in comparison to
its rival neighbours: Delhi and the Princely
Federation. The creation of the secret
police have given them another advantage
against internal Reactionary threats that
are brewing due to the reforms.

On foreign policy, the isolated Syndicalist
state have manage to throw heavy punches
above its own weight. Arms smuggling
throughout Indochina was their main
agenda, aside of that of the Indian
unification. The modus operandi was
so successful that Burma was flooded with
Red weaponry, and the Syndicalist rebels
of Burma have successfully overthrow the
government in Rangoon in the 1st of March
1938. The new Syndicalist regime
immediately signed an alliance with
the Bhartiyans to prevent Siam from
invading.

The Bhartiyans Employed Local People to Man the Smuggling Routes
rebellion_zps1547549f.png
Delhian Troops Joining the Fight
With the eastern flank secured,
the Bhartiya Commune waged a low
intensity war against her unstable
neighbour – the Princely Federation.
The Federation experiences social unrest
mixed with Socialists agitators, and
the Commune sent weapons to
the dissidents – escalating the conflict into
an armed rebellion. The Princes have
decided to send in the army to smash
the Socialist rebels. The Commune, in turn,
sent troops to thwart the Federation's
armies. Delhi sent troops as well,
in support of the Federation, despite
the fact that it is hard-pressed against
the Turkics in the north.
In the end, against all odds, the Red
militias, supported by the Bhartiyan troops,
have utterly crushed the Federation and
Delhian armies. The principalities felled
one by one under the victorious march of
the Red Army. Some Princes stood and
fought until the end, some fled the country.
What is known is that the Federation has
collapsed dramatically. By the 17th of
March 1940, the Commune now controls
two-thirds of India, including Goa (taken
from the Portuguese by the Federation)
and Sri Lanka (bought from the Germans
by the Federation).

Bhartiyan Artillery Pummels Entente Positions in North India
The Princedom of Delhi, out of extreme
folly, declared war against Bhartiya
Commune after the fall of the Federation,
even though they are struggling against
the Turkic horsemen from the north.
Believing that the Entente can handle both
enemies at the same time, Delhi proceed
with this suicidal move. The Red Army
fought against the Delhian Army for four
months until the Bhartiya Commune have
ultimately unified most of India. The day,
3rd of July 1940, was marked as
Unification Day. The holiday was
celebrated every year onwards.

Bhartiya Commune - the successor of the fallen British Raj. A Syndicalist state that
isn't as Syndicalist as you might expect. Alone in the East, surrounded by hostile and
aloof neighbours, have unified India, and grown into a regional power that
spearheads Socialism in Asia.

Indeed! Considering how the Syndicalists are doing well world-wide, these revisionist scums must mend their ways! :p

I'd like to mention, thank you to everyone who voted for Golden Sun in the ACA. I'm glad that you guys like it. Middle Republic didn't got in, so Golden Sun must be something else. I'll try to continue and improve on making AARs. I am also eager to finish this before the year ends.

Anyway, here's a summary of what happened in East Asia. It also gives off clues on what's happening in Russia, which will be mentioned on the next update.

A World Away From the Sun - Part III

As European and American influence
recedes, the three Asian powers - Qing
China, Japan, and Mongolia - all vying for
the control of East Asia.

Japan have given Kolchak the permission
to expand his republic as Russia descends
to civil war. Transamurian armies have
crossed the border and slowly advanced
through Siberia. The Japanese Empire have
also expanded its influence south. Formosa
have given internal autonomy to prevent it
from breaking away from the empire.
siberianwar_zpscd59ebb5.png

Kolchak's dream of expanding his fiefdom begins
co-prosperity_sphere_zpsa0d3ef96.png

The Japanese propaganda of a Greater East Asian
Co-prosperity Sphere had mixed results due to
their partial reliance on diplomacy over conquest.

The underground triads have taken control
of the Legation cities and offered
an alliance with the Japanese Yakuza.
The government have broken
the constitution of the treaty cities.
However, the Europeans are too concerned
with Syndicalist France, Italy, and Britain
gearing up for war, and the Americans are
too pre-occupied with their own civil war.

The Philippines and Siam have also come
under their sphere with new economic
agreements between the three countries to
develop the Philippine and Siamese economy.
The former is in uncertainty after the last
American control diminished. Japan's
investments resulted in military bases in
Subic Bay Naval Base and in Clark Air Base
– two former military installations left by
the Americans; and Siam signed
an alliance with Japan.

Not everything went well to the Japanese
Empire. The Koreans rose in rebellion
against the oppressive measures of
the Japanese. The Korean rebellion
received funds and armament from several
parties, this includes the resurgent Qing
Empire that first supported the rebellion
covertly, then became blatantly obvious as
they ramp up the aid amount. This puts
Japan and China into a collision course.
koreanrebels_zpseff8cc8d.png

Japanese soldiers during the siege of Seoul
banzai_zps6bd1c3d3.png

...and the fall of the colonial empires

Japan's fate was put into a balance when,
brimming with confidence, they sent
an ultimatum to Berlin where the latter
must leave East Asia forever,
and surrender its possession to
the Japanese Empire. This was
an opportunistic move as Elsass-Lothringen
issue sparked the European War. Berlin
remained deviant against the upstart
empire and refused to surrender its Asian
colonies. War was declared.

Japan took a prestige hit when Siam
surrendered to the Germans. This ended
Japanese ambitions in South East Asia by
shifting their strategy to a naval focused
one as the Germans are, surprisingly, now
difficult to dislodge. Another bombshell hit
the government in Tokyo when they
received a top priority cable from
Manchuria: Qing forces have crossed
the border.
chinesearmy01_zpsf1e1f6ad.png

Imperial soldiers in their starting points, waiting for the signal to attack

------------------------------------------------

China, after the Wuchang Revolution, have suffered under chronic instability and
warlordism. Pretending emperors, warlords, and presidents rose and fall.
The German Empire preyed on this divided land and set up a colony – under
the administration of the General East Asian Company - and under their good grace,
the Qing Dynasty was restored. It was expected that they shall be obedient to Berlin.

The Qing Empire experienced a surprising resurgence since then. The state has
reformed itself and succeeded from preventing the pro-German faction from
dominating. The government, under the American-educated H.H. Kung, focused on
the primary sector of the economy – farming and mining – which achieved stunning
success. The new emerging Qing economy gave confidence for the empire to play
its own game of world domination.

chinesearmy02_zpsdb353ad9.png

Millennial soldiers under inspection before the last stand in Xa'an

The Korean rebellion was the starting point
of the Qing re-awakening. Massive aid was
given the Koreans, even though they lost
in the end. This did not discouraged
the Chinese. War was waged against
the Millennials and have decisively
defeated them by capturing the enemy
capital. Fanatical soldiers indoctrinated by
this freak cult continue to resist and fight
the Imperial Army. By then, the wilting
resistance were mere token forces spread
across the mountain range of Shaanxi, it is
concluded that Shangqing Tianguo was not
a problem any more.

Berlin soon learnt the news of the Qing victory in Shaanxi. The phoenix dragon was
not in the script written by the Germans. A coup was set up by a group of German
sympathisers in Beijing and in the military. The coup failed when the emperor struck
first, purging and arresting all suspected conspirators. The rebellious generals outside
of the capital were too few and too late to gain the momentum. The Qing conscripts
arrested their own generals when the emperor, himself, lead the counter-campaign
and directly ordered the rebel troops to confirm their allegiance to him. The failed
coup have elevated the emperor to new heights. Popularity among the people surged
as a result.

The dragon's revenge was not done.
The German super-corporation still rule
the lands in the south. The Qing armies
marched south to the AOG controlled-lands.
While the south is technically owned by
the empire, the AOG is the de facto
controller. Using this technicality,
the Dragon Throne reassert their control
in the south. AOG conscript armies
defected to the emperor's banner.
The defence melted like snow at Spring.
AOG surrendered in the 18th of February 1938.
chinesearmy03_zps545f8a33.png

The conscript armies of the AOG with little loyalty to their employer
proved no match against the crack Imperial troops
sternburg_zpsec7a0aad.png

Khan Sternberg and his army cemented their fearsome reputation during
the invasion of the Ma Clique where the warlord state crumbled so quickly.
Reports of grave atrocities, such as necrophilia, disgusted their neighbours.

More expansions to reunify China were
executed. Macao was given back by
Portugal after an ultimatum. The Yunnan
warlord state was invaded after it refused
to bow to the emperor's ultimatum.
The Qing did planned to wage war against
the Mongolian Empire but reconsidered
the suggestion. Many theories were given;
some stated that the Qing were intimidated
by the Khan's reputation for brutality and
his martial prowess. The war between
Mongolia and the Ma Clique ended with
a swift victory so quick that it shocked
everyone. The Qing, instead, focused their
eyes on Manchuria and the Japanese
territories in the mainland.

The secret negotiations with the Fengtian
warlord to defect ended with nothing.
The Qing Empire declared war on the 27th
of February 1940. War between the two
rising powers; Japan and China, have
begun. The Legation Cities were the first
to hit. Believing that the Japanese would
protect them turn out to be a terrible bet.
The cities were annexed back to the empire.

The only notable event in this war was
the loss of Beijing. It is expected that
the war would be a decisive struggle
between the two giants with one as
the supreme victor. Far from it; for four
years, the war was a slow bloody stalemate.
sino-japanese-war01_zps118062fd.png

The attrition warfare seems to be against the Japanese in this case but the large
population number of male fighting age on both sides allowed this to go on
with no clear end in sight for nearly four years.
china-entente_zpsafa4aa5a.png

The entrance of the Entente in the war against Japan proved to be limited.
Supplies, advisors, and weaponry were sent but still couldn't break
the stalemate. Both sides still uses the tanks as infantry support
and are too light that anti-tank teams can easy take them down.

In 23rd of July 1942, the Qing Empire joined
the Entente as Russia struggles against her
various invaders. Canada promised to give
all of mainland Japanese territories and
Formosa. In return, China must win against
the Japanese and aid the beleaguered
Russians. However, Entente support on
China did little to push back the Japanese on
what has become a static trench warfare.
Russian intervention from the north
also didn't materialised until much later as
Russia is under fire from several sides.

The poor Entente performance in Russia
and in China have enticed the Mongolian
Khan, Sternberg, to attack the weakened
Russia and China. Mongolia sits weakly
between Russia and a resurgent China –
Sternberg saw this as his only and last
chance for a new Mongolian Empire.
The khan declared war against the Entente
on the 18th of February 1943.
mongolian-army01_zps6389bbda.png

A Mongolian officer reads out a proclamation from the khan saying:
"The Reawakening of the Mongolian Empire has began!
It is now our time to conquer and destroy the countless nations
that my old spirit have conquered before, centuries ago.
The fate of the greater Mongolic race is in your hands!
russianarmy01_zps9c3862d2.png

Russian forces advanced quickly after the fall of Transamur as Japanese forces
arrived too late to stem the enemy advance through the unprotected north.

Despite the grand proclamation of the khan,
it seems that Sternberg's gambit might be
premature. Russian forces have successfully
burst through Japanese lines and took down
the Transamur Republic on the 9th of March
1943. Russians forces repeated that success
again when they launched a pincer attack
into Manchuria, and made the Fengtian
warlord surrender on the 14th of August 1943.

But not even these great victories are enough until the two Entente powers reach
each other. China and Russia are still leagues away from each other with desperate
and surrounded Japanese forces trapped in the middle defended every inch with
fierce resistance; and as time ticks by, the Syndicalists advances deeper into
the Russian Motherland.
