Don`t know, but this game is dead. There will not be new DLCs, patches, anything.

Unless you want to fix bugs and problems in vanilla game, you should just abandon this game
Or if not abandon, move on, don`t have any hopes for this game`s future etc, don`t get too attached to it, becouse it is already a dead corps

It probably is. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of a British occupation before 1940, and the EU IV province history covering the start of MotE has it as part of Denmark. Denmark even sat out the Napoleonic wars until 1807. At least they kept the Danish core on the islands.
