Coalitions of Ratugon

With so many parties on the planet of Ratugon, and with so many ideologies flourishing on Ratugon, most times, one party does not have a majority in the Assembly. In most democracies, parties work independent of each other, and usually the majority boils down to two major parties, not in the Assembly.

In the Assembly, coalitions are vital for a party's success. While the people elect the chancellor, the biggest coalitions choose the ministers. So a Socialist Chancellor may have Imperial Ministers helping him. This produces a kind of cooperation between the parties, for odds are if you want to become Chancellor, you might have to work with other parties and not your own. These are the Coalitions that exist in the Ratugon Assembly:

I. The Constitutional-Imperial Coalition (Constitutional Alliance + Imperial Party (Majority)): This is the largest coalition in the Assembly, and it creates the majority needed in the Assembly. Formed a short while ago between the Imperials and CA, both parties share one thing in common, they head the word of the Queen before anything else. While the Imperials have the smallest party, they have offered a lot to be part of this Coalition. The CA owns 8 of the 10 ministries, with the Imperials occupying the other 2.

II. The Socialist-Communist Bloc (Socialist Party + Workers' and Laborers' Party (Opposition)): This party should be obvious, both want rights for workers. The Socialists and Communists needed support since Nathaniel Krumen was assassinated by the fascists. They have teamed up, the extreme and the mdoerate, to gain power in the Assembly. This Bloc is as old as the Communist Party.

III. The Rest (Nationalists' Party and Independents.): The Nationalists do not believe in the idea of coalitions, so they tend to stay neutral when asked to join either the government or opposition. Most Independents (Though they are few and in-between) also join the Nationalist in supporting this neutrality.

Project Super

Project Super is a new research project conducted by major medical and cybernetic companies in order to improve the lives of the people. Using the chip implant within the brain as a base, Project Super will attempt to improve the time needed to heal broken bones and other maladies. Eventually, Project Super will be able to restore function to paralyzed body parts and do so much more.

With so much opportunity in this project, many of the companies who signed on are eager to work on it and are even paying for it themselves. That's right, what could be considered the greatest development for the people of Cygni, paid by private corporations themselves! If you're pinching yourself, don't worry, this isn't a dream. So, if anyone else you know has any doubts about this project, tell them about this page. Any doubts will be cleared.

“The Interview”

Hello Everybody and welcome to “lets Talk!” with Sandry Roswers. (now transmitting at galactic level thanks to our partnerships)

Today we are interviewing a member of the Clan Gur’ka. He will tell us a bit on their people, history and their objectives.

“Yes, My name is Gurtha, member or the clan Gur’Ka. Our clan is on of the 50 clans that at some point untold amount of time ago abandoned our home nation and dissolved with it the Pr’rik grand clan. Why we had to leave our planet is not known by our clan.”

“So there are 50 clans?, that is impressive even though we havent ha news of many like you in the galaxy”

“The stories tell that out of the 50 clans 23 somehow went out of this galaxy and unto a different one. Of course i personally don't believe such stories, and its likely 23 clans simple were destroyed early in the migration, but one must wonder. Out of the 27 remaining clans to my knowledge 7 Clans remain as a unified clan each in some pocket of space the other 20 are called the divided clans as they divided as time passed and joined nations that no longer exist , or have since long gone perished, or are part of forgotten worlds.”

“That is very interesting Mr.Gurtha. could you tell us something of the remaining 7 clans?”

“I can talk to you about 4 clans the rest not so much as the clans loss communications with one another some thirty thousand years ago, when something similar to the great cataclysm happened, according to our records.

Clan Xar’tha: they are probably one of the most populous of the clans as they have since long times abandoned warfare and isolated themselves in subsistence. last i hear they fought the deaghning and restarted their warring ways.

Clan Ne’ums and Clan Hip’rat: they are the keeper of the knowledge of old and the Grand Library of Kashmir containing all our ancient knowledge and technologies. Floating in space impossible big, and secure from enemies by the Hip’rat clan. This clan is the only clan that remained with military positions and tactics as you observe in moderns, instead of our usual raiding techniques, they use firepower and other ways to fight, you can call them the remnants of our military, their duty is to protect the library and bring it home.

Clan Gur’ka: my clan, our clan has remained strong on the way of piracy and mercenary work for subsistence probably the most experience of all clans on those arts, and some call us the most savages, but is all part of the work”

“any closing comments?”

“yes, to any of the clans listening out there, to any of the divided clans, and their descendant our home has been reclaimed, come home, come to your people and let our race be united and reborn once more on the great Savanah, for the long return must be done!

2) The colonization of the Asteroids, which the Herakos have named Aikateron after their Great and Powerful Khanos, goes rather smoothly, leading to the completion of colonization by the end of the cycle (Aikateron is colonized)
3) The Herakos Fleet began research into new Plasma Weaponry. The research seemed to go very smoothly, with weapons tests being scheduled for the end of the cycle. The new weapons were installed in one of the largest ships in the Herakos fleet. Unfortunately, the new Plasma Weapons proved to require far more energy than the Herakos test ship could provide, leading to a massive explosion that engulfed several of the capital ships of the fleet. With that colossal disaster, leading to the scraping of the Plasma program. (-5BB, -10HC)
4)With growing instability and conflict throughout the galaxy, the Herakos Fleet decided it needed to change in order to be able to keep up with the navies of Kronesia or the IDU. Such reforms focused on the creation of a formalized hierarchy, and command structure. Such reforms received much opposition to the new program by the trationitional forces, but the will of the Khanos is the will of the Khanos, and so the reforms went forward. (+1 military level)

1) The creation of 40 Taligori Battleships goes successfully, with 20 completed by the end of the cycle, and 20 predicted to be finished come next cycle. (+20 BB)(+20 next turn)

2) The war on Rerdat intensifies as the Taligori ship in 20 more infantry regiments, along with 3 more light mech units. The reinforcements quickly rendezvous with the Taligori troops trapped in the city. The arrival of fresh Taligori cause the Rerdat forces to lift the siege, and fall back. The Taligori army, learning its lesson, instead pre sewing, instead surround the area of the jungle the Rerdat are believed to be hiding in and proceeded to torch the jungle. Attempts by remaining Rerdat forces to save their burning comrades fail, although they are able to destroy 2 of the light mech reinforcements, and manage to take the city that the main Taligori body vacated, eliminating the garrison of 5 regiments there. Unfortunately for the Rerdat, the burning of the jungle destroys the vast majority of their troops, along with all their bases. Upon the Taligori return to the city, the remaining Rerdat surrender, and by the end of the cycle, Rerdat is fully under Taligori control. (resistance crushed and officially surrendered and ended, planet accept Taligori as rulers)( -5 Infantry, -2 Light Mech)

3) With the war on Rerdat being unpopular, the Aestrix decides to invest considerable resources in the colonization of a new world. Initially the colonization goes well, but after a half cycle, contact with the colony suddenly ceases. Drones sent to the world find the colony in ruins, and the only signs of life are hyena-like beings prowling its streets. (-100 million people, Rumors say Hyena like beings cited on the system, by drones.

1) The Voogoonam build up an additional 10 shipyards over the course of the year to be able to better supply their fleets.

3)An unknown system is explored over the course of the year and a oceanic system is found.
4) A large order for the increasement of the fleet is placed, over the course of the year the first carriers are constructed with the remaining parts of the order expected next year.

Cygni Republic

1) The Cygni Republic finishes the construction for the fortress in the Urarbi system. A lot of money is spent and some start to wonder if its a good idea to spend so much money at a single fortress.
2) The entire republic fleet is moved the to system of Brennemaus over the course of the year, out of fear of the bees they set up defensive positions. Many spectate that the reason behind the movement is the safety of the Urarbi system.
3) Further research is made into a project only code named as “SUPER” Data analyzation begins early in the year, however after around six months a young scientist made a copy of the research. Unknown to the government the scientist was a member of the radical group under the name of “Fireants”. When the news hit, it became a massive scandal, within days there were large riots against the government to abandon this project. It continued for a large time before dying down.
4) The Republic establishes connections within the other members of the Galactic Federation. It doesn't take long before it becomes successful and they are able to begin influencing the rest of the federation. Trade is also seen as an increase over the course of the year, with parts of the population in the other federation policies questioning if its wise to allow so much influence to the Cygni.

Ratugan Kingdom

1) The colonization of the Larxeus system begins over the year, as they settle down it seems to be going well and peaceful, but after a few months people slowly start to disappear. After another month the first signs begin to appear, a small local population was present and had kidnapped the members of the colony. Shock turned to horror when they found the remains of the colonists, having been eaten alive by the locals. The local guards quickly started to fire on any local that was seen and curfew was ordered as well as safety zones to prevent any further accidents until a solution was found.

2) And order is placed for 40 Heavy Mechs to be constructed for the Kingdom over the course of the year, at the end it leaves many with questions as to why the heavy build up is taking place, some even begin to fear of an upcoming war.

3)Event Update

Arkoshia Empire

1) The Arkoshia continues the research into the refractive technology and by the end of the year it stands completed.
2) The military spends most of the year training anti-pirate maneuvers to be able to combat any they should met. At the end of the year their training clearly shows and they experience much improved.
3) The system south of Ursa IV is explored, it is a garden system which is then quickly colonized. When it is found out that it is a garden world, it is quickly colonized and put to use.
4 The Ursa economy is expanded over the year, despite a lot of effort and time put into it, the results are lackluster and as such only a low increase of the economy can be seen.

Umaja Commonwealth

1) The Commonwealth decides to once again continue its research into Hull technology and overcome the issues of previous years, yet when they continue the research it once again goes awry. The designs which are being used are faulty at best and useless at worst, as such the year is instead spend on remaking the designs and as such no progress is made.
2) The government begins spreading news of the war almost being over and that the nation no longer has to worry, as such it helps put many people at ease over the year. While there are some who doubt the government in their words, it is still able to cause an overall relaxation.
3) A new ships is designed over the year, the goal is to increase the rate of which colonization can happen, both having a higher travel speed as well as better designed for colonial affairs. It brings great expectations of the final result as hopes are high in the Kingdom.
4) The system of Zexehob is colonized during the year, it was a system that was explored years ago but first now caught the attention of the higher officials. The colonization happens without problems and it is expected to be completed early next year.

2)The OIS continue its massive budget that do something, even though no one knows what.
3)Events update
4)The Adrallan begins to use the experience won on the war to create a new war policy. (½ +1 mil lvl)

Military Reform in the Great Herakos Fleet

Lyscaniaflag.png

General Reform

Despite having one of the largest fleets in existence, the Herakos Fleet still was arguably inhibited by several problems inherent in it's structure. Firstly, it lacked a coherent chain of command - front line commanders were often given a general battle plan and expected to follow it until it succeeds, or they were dead. Secondly, many officers were awarded rank either as a reward for loyalty to the current commander, or as a title that came with ascension to their clan's leadership. Many lacked real field experience, had little grasp of strategy, and often failed to understand the relevance of logistics. Finally, while almost all Herakos were familiar at maintaining and operating spacecraft due to the nature of their way of life - with sine even being able engineers from as young an age as 8 or 9 - the Herakos Fleet lacked a real training program. In spite of many of these issues becoming apparent during the Clone War, or perhaps due to the fleet's victory during this war, the War Council was reluctant to see real reform, forcing the Khanos herself, along with a few key reformers within the Fleet, to arduously push through reform.

The War Council

One of the hardest battles was that of reforming the War Council. Having been the main leadership of the military portion of the Herakos Fleet since time immemorial, it was only the sheer force of the Khanos's will that made reform possible.

Before the reforms, a place on the War Council was often a lifelong appointment, and very often made as a political reward or concession by the Elder Council or the current Khanos. While never being truly incompetent to the point of hindering the war effort, the War Council was often obstructive or distracting in times of Crisis, sometimes diverting ships from key offensives to take part in personal grandstanding or to force the fleet to take part in a War Chief's current pet doctrine. It was moreover an occasional political threat to the Khanos, as it was not unheard of for the War Council to replace a Khanos that openly conflicted with them. Aikaterine did not take kindly to threats from within her own leadership, explicit or implied, by admittedly had little reason at the time to take on the War Council at the time. She was forced to put up with their obstructiveness, for the time being.

That was the case, at least, until an accident cost the Fleet several ships in the 10th year of Aikaterine's reign. After a suspiciously short investigation, it was concluded that it was the negligence of the War Council that caused "key Herakos spacecraft1" to be in the radius of a dangerous and unpredictable weapons testing procedure. The Khanos was furious, and demanded an immediate removal of several Councillors, resulting in the War Council being put in the hands of three Chiefs - Banos, Hereculon and Xefine - who all were outspoken reformists within the military. Unanimously, the three remaining War Chiefs agreed to put the War Council in the hands of Aikaterine and would allow any changes she made.

Mimicking similar leadership structures in more organised polities, Aikaterine created a new Military Leadership - the "Tribal Command" - to act as the highest ranking Herakos military body, while simultaneous appointing the three remaining War Chiefs to the Tribal Command. The Tribal Command did not have any powers that did not already exist, instead having it's authority "transferred" from the War Council, but was unique in that it was considered a post promoted directly from experienced members of the Fleet, rather than being the result of political appointment. The old War Council was, rather than being abolished, re-instated and given a new "advisory role", and the recently removed War Chiefs were allowed to return to their posts. While some refused out of pride (resulting in their arrest for desertion2), most accepted the change and the resulting removal of authority.

The Chain of Command

While attempts to modernise the chain of command had occurred throughout the first decade of Aikaterine's reign, little progress was made. Only with the restructuring of the War Council and the implementation of the Tribal Command could real changes be made. An ad-hoc ranking system existed beforehand, but varied between clans and often lead to confusion when a crew member was transferred between ships. Moreover, they lacked enough experienced officers to act as Captains for the plethora of new ships being mass produced by the Herakos Fleet.

The issue of ranks was solved by importing similar systems from neighbouring polities. Before the Great Cataclysm, the only exposure to such a system of rank was the Allied Clones, which due to it's very nature as a cloned polity had a very arbitrary and incommutable form of ranking. However, the influx of information from the post-Cataclysm years from polities such as Kronesia, Baekdu, and information retained from dealings with the Galactic Federation, gave the Herakos Fleet a structure to base their own system of ranking around. Although there was some difficulty among the more conservative parts of the fleet3, it overall introduced a level of cohesion unheard of within the Herakos Fleet.

Finally, the issue of training was solved relatively quickly. All Herakos who wished to serve in the military fleet, or as warriors, needed to pass basic literacy and engineering tests, as well as receive several month's worth of combat training. This made recruitment for the rapidly expanding fleet more difficult, but not impossible, and standards throughout the fleet rose to the point of uniformity. Efforts were made to bring already serving members of the Herakos War Fleet up to the standards of the new recruits, and by the 10th year of Aikaterine's reign these efforts were mostly successful.

[1] - This was likely, as very few ships were actually damaged, and the class of ship destroyed were mid-sized cruisers, which were not the focus of the Herakos Light Fleet doctrine of the time.
[2] - The charge of desertion was made on the grounds that appointment to the War Council was non-negociable, and by refusing to take this role was essentially an act of leaving their posts. This naturally carried the penalty of death. However, the Khanos later pardoned the rogue War Chiefs after a period of imprisonment, implying that the charge of desertion was a proverbial cracking of the whip, rather than making an example of her opponents.
[3] - Semi-autonomous units such as the Pathfinders, as well as the upper officership, were resistant to the idea of a hierarchy of command when they had existed on a mostly flat structure.

The Elections of An. 30

Four years ago, Baekdu politics had been broken wide open in the An. 26 elections and were essentially up for grabs. Consul Kim Yoori and her Baekdu Republican Socialist League had won that battle in dramatic fashion. As the most popular leader in Baekdu history, rivaling Lee Hyori herself, the An. 30 elections were the Consul’s to lose. Barely a single poll predicted that Consul Kim would not be returned to office, with papers such as the reliably socialist Times of Neo Seoul and the North Star of Lyon going as far as predicting a BRSL supermajority. As election day drew nearer, it seemed nothing could stand in Yoori’s way.

That proved to be an overly optimistic assumption. Consul Kim may have been incredibly popular among the people at large, but some of her greatest enemies were within her own party, the most powerful of whom was President Hwang Yaewon. Hwang was initially chosen as the BRSL’s presidential candidate to balance the ultra-pacifist Kim; her career in the FIS and relatively supportive attitude towards the armed forces would prevent many who would decry the Socialists as a reckless party from making such accusations. She was a relatively quiet President, as had been most occupants of the office, but in the last few months of Yoori’s administration she began to more openly criticize the Consul’s strict pacifism. She led the charge in the primaries against Yoori’s renomination; while the Yooriite “Stalwarts” would not be defeated, the tensions the Yaewonite “Half-Breeds” [1] had laid bare in the party somewhat tarnished the Socialists’ air of invincibility. Hwang and her supporters fought long and hard on the convention floor, but could not stop an enthusiastic convention from securing Kim’s nomination in the second round and nominating relatively unknown Yooriite Kim Bora for President in the first round. The ex-president left the convention visibly sulking, but Baekdu had not yet heard the last of the Half-Breeds.

The extreme left was far less optimistic. Once again left without partners, funding and role models, the Syndicalist Party went into the An. 30 campaign season with little hope of returning to government. Their chief problem was that Yoori had stolen most of their thunder on the economic front, and their other issues - IDU skepticism, pro-militarism, and so forth - were not resonating with the current Baekdu political scene, where one either was Yoori or wanted to be her. The only advantage they had left was Kim Jongnam, the savvy Syndicalist political operator and prennial presidential candidate who was turning the Syndicalist Party into an increasingly one-man show. Despite his advisors urging him to tone down his militarist rhetoric, Kim chose to double-down, hoping to acquire more power by appealing to leftist elements of the Army. How well this would work would remain to be seen.

The Radical Union was similarly preoccupied with preventing its own demise, this time working to stay out of the shadow of their National Liberal coalition partners. Despite their name, they were the main force representing the center-left, containing both social liberals and social democrats. The two wings were occasionally at each other’s throats, but managed at the very least to stay together, mainly out of mutual fear of being absorbed by the NLP in the case of the former and the BRSL in the case of the latter. The party was most notable in An. 30 for its choice of candidates. Hahm Jeemin, Consul Son Danbi’s foreign minister, and Park Alexandre, a former Radical presidential candidate, were locked in a dead heat for thirty-five ballots when a delegate half-jokingly nominated Valenta Petr [2], the ex-President of the Republic of Pollux, as a compromise candidate [3]. Several delegates audibly laughed at the first mention of the proposal, but Valenta’s stalwart defense of liberalism and expansion of the Republic and his masterful oratory began to win the Convention over. A deal promising Hahm the position of Foreign Minister as first priority in any Radical government sealed Valenta’s candidacy, and the convention turned its attention to the Presidency. The Radicals considered simply backing the National Liberal candidate, but decided running a candidate was crucial to the party’s survival, even if they couldn’t win. There was a great deal of disagreement about who should be picked, when it was suggested that ex-Consul Son would make a fine Presidential candidate. Popular, though not as popular as Yoori, and the most experienced politician in Baekdu, she was perhaps the best hope of the Radicals. Thus, after three ballots, Son Danbi was nominated for the Presidency by the Radical Union. She was not even present at the convention at the time, instead taking a vacation in Gyeonju, but when she heard of her nomination, she decided to accept and returned to Baekdu for the campaign season.

The National Liberals, despite being the only party that would likely be able to compete with the BRSL, had a fairly sedate convention. The NLP convention was about three weeks after the others, and so it was decided to support Son Danbi’s run for the Presidency instead of their own candidate. Despite Consul Son’s social democrat status clashing with the increasingly openly free-market NLP, her socially liberal bona fides were not in question, and in exchange the National Liberals got some assurances that the Radicals would cooperate with some of their economic programs in government. With that settled, the party quickly rallied behind their ex-presidential candidate Kim Taeyeon, a former pop singer who changed careers and had a successful career in the Federal Assembly, for Consul despite a challenge from the Westphalian nuclear energy tycoon Vonderhuf Wilhelm.

On the right, two developments had the potential to once again create change in the political scene. After the Great Cataclysm, when the Xin Li Emperor issued a proclamation for “noble Baekdu,” of which there were none so long after the Great Treaty [4], to “stand fast” and support monarchism, he was essentially laughed off by most of the population. The discovery of the Xin Li did, however, reinvigorate the Baekdu Imperial Party, who were seriously considering dissolving themselves into the Nationalist. This was very temporary, as the first words out of the Emperor’s mouth alienated many of their new supporters once again. In response, the Imperial Party dropped explicit monarchism from its platform and renamed itself the Traditionalist Party. A few hardcore monarchists left, but the party drew up a new platform playing off the issues Imperials did have success with: free-market economics, Xin Li interests and isolationism.

The Nationalist Party gave out its last dying gasps in the final months of An. 29. The few Delegates that were left were split between ultra-militarists and isolationist centrists who were too statist for the National Liberals and too moderate for the Imperials or AINF. The latter, upon the organization of the Traditionalist Party, rebelled and joined it. Their ideas would help moderate the Traditionalists further and have the potential to help them out of the depths of total irrelevance. The rest, increasingly angry and bitter, did not formally dissolve the party but decided that they ought to stand with their most similar counterparts.

The new Traditionalist Party, renamed the Populist Party after the influx of the last of the Nationalists, was a new kind of political force in Baekdu: a truly conservative party. Ever since the Revolution, conservatism per se was never truly stable as an ideology. From the start of the Republic, the political spectrum was at various times split between Democrats and Centralists [5], socialists and expansionists [6], Nationalists and Radicals, republicans and reactionaries. There was simply not very much to be conservative about, what with the Republic bringing about a new era in Baekdu history. The term “military-conservative” was used to describe Yi Kyunghun’s style of paternalistic, military-friendly policy, but an actual democratic conservative movement simply did not exist for a very long time. That changed with the advent of the Populist Party. They combined isolationism and anti-militarism with free market economics, IDU skepticism, and increasingly confederalism to evoke the pre-corporate era. The Populists were not expected to become a party of government any time soon, but they were the first truly popular and democratic conservative movement, separate from the army and the radical right. They thus had, at the very least, the potential to be the first relevant and truly right-wing party in Baekdu.

Finally, the National Front [7] began to organize its ideas more completely. Though the party leader, “Jidoja” Park Nogeun, was a noted Baekdu supremacist, some of the greatest contributions to the party’s political thought came from minorities and immigrants. Mercian Sorel Antoine hit upon the idea of the Jidoja exercising his authority through tightly controlled labor unions and various bodies based on occupation, based variously on the authoritarian corproatism of the last fifty years of the corpocracy, the Adrallan system of “pillars,” and (though the National Front would be loath to admit it) Kim Jongnam’s authoritarian syndicalism. “Sorelism” was thus adopted as the party’s official ideology. While officially, all NF party members existed only to serve the Jidoja, the party needed other candidates as well. The man who “selflessly volunteered” to lead the party in the Assembly elections and serve as its candidate for Consul was one Tymun Jonas, a Ratugonian immigrant who was involved in a similar party on his homeworld and was enthusiastically trying to bring fascism to Baekdu. The National Front was a box of contradictions at the best of times, so one should not be totally surprised.

And so it was that the people of Baekdu went to the polls in An. 30 to decide their government.

Presidential Elections, An. 30

Kim Jongnam, Syndicalist Party, 2%
Kim Bora, Baekdu Republican Socialist League, 42%
Son Danbi, Radical Union of the Republic, 51%
Hu Xi, Populist Party, 4%
Park Nogeun, Anti-Imperialist National Front, 1%

Son Danbi is thus duly elected as Sixth President of the Republic with 51% of the vote.

From left to right:

Syndicalist Party: 51 seats
Baekdu Republican Socialist League: 483 seats
Radical Union of the Republic: 141 seats
National Liberal Party: 159 seats
Populist Party: 60 seats
National Front: 6 seats

Ex-Consul Son's victory in the Presidential election - in the first round, no less, when no President had won a first-round victory since Lee Hyori - was somewhat of a surprise at first, but she had several factors going for her. Despite having a more controversial record than Yoori, she was far more well-known and well-liked than her Socialist opponent, who was a political unknown with few particularly discernible policies other than being pacifist and loyal to Consul Kim. She also had the support of the National Liberals, who tended to do well in the Presidential elections due to the Syndicalists, Socialist and Radicals all somewhat sharing a voter base and splitting each other's votes. Considering the situation in the Legislature, the position of President was about to become far more important than it had ever been before.

As for the Assembly, the parties in the An. 30 elections knew that Yoori could not be stopped, and they were right. The Baekdu Republican Socialist League took an outright majority of the Assembly and could theoretically govern alone or with the Syndicalists for a more secure majority. Consul Kim's efforts to form a government, however, ran into trouble from the one source that could stand up to the BRSL: itself. Hwang Yaewon led a grouping of Half-Breed Delegates in ferocious opposition to a BRSL-only majority government, demanding the War Ministry for themselves and a coalition with either the Radicals or Syndicalists. The Stalwarts balked at the notion of being held hostage by their own party and threatened the Half-Breeds with expulsion, no support in future elections, and so forth, but the Parliament had already been elected and the Half-Breed caucus numbered thirty-four Delegates - leaving the Stalwarts one seat short of a majority on their own. A brutal political brawl ensued that left the Republic with an uncertain government for two-and-a-half months. With no end in sight, President Son intervened to appoint the government herself. Backroom negotiations with the Yooriites resulted them in accepting some concessions in the policy of pacifism, lifting the moratoriums on military research (which even many Yooriites considered too radical, but was considered by the Consul as one of her greatest achievements) and, far more controversially, constructing new ships. Yoori was gravely concerned, but President Son reminded her that the power to sign any declaration of war ultimately was in her hands, and nothing was forcing her to do so in such a situation. Consul Kim accepted, but warned the President that she would not sign a declaration of war if one was presented to her. With the Radicals holding the Foreign and War Ministries (the Radicals actually being less pro-military than most of the Half-Breeds) and Stalwarts in the remaining ministries, Consul Kim was sworn in for her second administration in a less euphoric mood than her first, but still with great hope for continued peace and prosperity.

The Second Kim Administration

[1] So named because they were derogitorily called “half-breeds” of socialists and militarists, as opposed to the Yooriites’ “stalwart” support of the Consul.

[2] Though Mercians had long since adopted the Baekdu custom of putting surname first, the various ethnic groups in Bohemia, Moravia, Westphalia and Brandenburg generally put personal name first. Many Polluxites and Atropians changed their names to the Baekdu style, but others did not, making for a great deal of confusion. The National Liberals and Populists have proposed simply mandating the name registries to be surname first.

[3] Both President Valenta and President Kraus of the old Helmitian provisional republics were strong orators who could speak Baekdugol even before the Treaty of Asadal. Each remained active in post-Treaty politics, though their political views were very different.

[4] During the pre-corporate era, a Baekdu holding a Xin Li imperial title wasn’t unheard of; even one of the Mayors of Neo Seoul held and used the title “Count of Incheon,” and they largely coexisted with republican city governance. The corpocracy, however, abolished the nobility, and most of the old titles fell into disuse. They remain abolished under the Republic, though obviously for different reasons.

[5] In the early days of the Republic, the Democrats were the name of the faction that supported a strong constitution and military removal from civilian governance; the Centralists wanted the opposite. Lee Hyori’s support of the former quickly silenced the debate for the duration of her Presidency and is considered one of the main reasons why the Republic did not collapse into dictatorship when it had every chance to do so in the early years. As Lee Hyori said, “The people will have democracy, and if you wish to fight them over it, you will have to go through me.”

[6] Socialism is in large part considered inherently pacifist in Baekdu, especially after Yoori’s administration. It is a separate concept from statist economics - the Nationalists were at times highly statist, but certainly not socialist.

[7] The National Front would quietly drop the Anti-Imperialist from its name in An. 28, for no particular reason other than it was considered unwieldly.

[8] A new position created relatively recently, surprisingly enough; financial matters were formerly handled by the Interior Minister. Consul Kim created the Finance Ministry early in An. 26, partly to relieve the overtaxed and inefficient Interior Ministry and partly as a concession to the Syndicalists to join the coalition.

To the Comonwealth

It is with great sadness that I report the untimely death of my cousin, your High Ruler Fyn Ortynum III. Despite his valiant attempts to bring our greatness to the rest of the universe, by expanding our colonies and joining a coalition of like minded rulers, he could not prevent the inevitable fate of all. As is customary he has been placed in the Tomb of Emperors in the Hava Jungle. Having died without any heirs the task of ruling has fallen to me Olan Ortynum. It is with great hope that I and the house of representatives can work respectfully with one another, and that the people accept me as a benevolent ruler. Do not think of this as an end of an era, but the beginning of a new one.

--High Ruler Olan Ortynum IX

(Regretfully I must quit the game. I have personal matters that must be dealt with and will not be back on the forum for a long time. Anyone in queue can take my polity, or it can be made into NPC, I will leave that up the GM alexander)

WAR-EVENTS UPDATE TURN 10

“The Final Push”

As more reinforcements arrives to the Umaja forces, the generals prepare for another push, their aim is the final city. They lay down an ambitious plan for an attack on the city from the south, while additional forces would attack from the sides as well as the North. Many questioned the plan and if it was wise, but it was the quickest way to end the war if it succeeded, and with the governments promise back at home, they needed to think of a solution quickly to end this horrible war. So began the so called “Operation Anaconda” Which was named later the bloodiest of them all. The krocks were desperate at this point and using children and civilians as shield or disposable soldiers, something the Umaja didn't expected. The invasion of the city was preceded by full 3 months of bombardment and siege meanwhile operations across the jungles and marshes of the planet were launched to end the resistance bases.

With the traditional sickness and attrition by the nature mounting up the Umaja forces continued the campaign in deadly jungle warfare and river battle that was quickly mounting casualties. In the last major city of the krocks itself most of their regular army and elite militias fought savagely and to the death the Umaja forces, street by street, building by building, room by room. In the end however the Umaja were used to advance and determined to win and the city felt and with it the civilian government of the Krocks.

The Official unconditional surrender was given 1 month later meanwhile the army arranged to be pardoned before surrendering...without their equipment. The rest of the year the Umaja continued to fight militias and guerrillas until by chance they happened to find the main Resistance base and destroy it with most of their leadership. With this the resistance ended for the time being, and many simply hoped the umaj wouldn't kill them off. The planet which had have 3.5 Billions before the invasion had lost around 500 million civilians most of them males, and was sick of fighting.

“The Big Job”

A great gala had been organized by the Raugan Government to show off the greatness of the monarchy, its stability and power to the Kronesian Empire and the Adrallan Oligarchy. The reason for this? was a technological buyout by these two of much of the Ratugan Technology. The Kronesian Emperor was even present to show he would be leading his nation and not simply be a throne holder for advisors to control. For this reason security was tight and a great area around the complex where the Gala was being held had been cleared and closed off.

Everything was going well until the time to do the transfer. The Emperor and the Adrallan representative were to be given the designs and models data chips by the Ratugan Queen in person as a gesture of equality and friendship. It was just as they were unveiled that job started.

Suddenly a bomb went off in the main entrance and a second one near the stand where the transfer was being done, and chaos started. People began screaming in panic meanwhile security forces rushed to take their leaders away, it was in this moment when servers began taking out guns and shooting the guards and secret agents . With the Gunfire happening a third explosion rocked the building as armed masked men entered the complex and battled security forces. In another part of the city Police stations and banks were under attack by masked men in destruction from the main event and dilatory tactics, even the single bridge connecting the artificial island to the mainland (reason why was thought to be a safe place) was blowed up to delay reinforcements.

A huge gunfire ensued with disregard for the civilians present, as security forces dragged away the queen, and he adrallan advisor fled the scene the brave (though the adrallan was here by some murmuring idiotic) kronesian Emperor grabbed the gun of a death guard and began shooting back to the masked assailant killing two before a bullet hit his arm and his guards dragged him away, some say against his will.

The whole think whoever only took 5 mins after that the assailants retreated and detonate a thermic bomb near the stand where the transfer is supposed to happen destroying the section and all it content, be it people , tables or computers. at the same time the attack on the other areas ended and all their casualties banished with them.

Afterwards it was discover all security footage was gone, same with copies and server databases has been attacked and such only footage taken by camera man remained, The attackers and motive are still unknown though main theory was to kill the queen or the emperor. Nothing is known meanwhile Intelligence forces try to unveil the plot. The Tech transfer was done a month later in a secure ship, by agents of the 3 governments

“The resurrection and luck of the Phoenix”

The Xin li empire had been in decline since 10 years ago. An abortive war against the allied clones, a compromise with the hives, rebellions and s on. The emperor would have no more of such things and decided he would end the clones and rectified the bad luck of his empire since 10 years ago. For such thing he launched a surprise invasion of the Skudrar system. A heavy fight was expected but found none as the Clones had lost their fleet to the nether space when the great cataclysm as happening and were in process of rebuilding it on their home system Wonda.

This was truly lucky since the clone fleet could have easily taken care of the small Xi Li fleet in their climax. Immediately a land invasion began in the 700 Million strong planet by the Xin Li empire. The defenses of the planet were low as they didnt expected an invasion and much of their land forces were in wonda previously for the threat of the Herakos fleet.

The Xin li began to rapidly take control of cities and town before they first meet resistance in the city of Clamore. In there most of the planet regular troops were destroyed and the city devastated thanks to the use of the mechs by the Xin Li troops, casualties were low for the Imperial Armies and by the end of the year the planet was declared secured. Of course alarms were ringed in Wonda and a defense was being prepared as they could not stand on space at this moment. The battle for Wonda will probably be the biggest land battle ever saw in the galaxy.(2 HI, -5 Marines)(3HBB,2 CA, 1 CS, 60 frigates, 25 LC, and 10 HC, 40 transports in Skudr.)(23 HI, 7 LM, 15 Marines in Skudr).

Pstha ranKyo Hompf laid back in his Couchomobile (tm) as it floated, smiling to himself in his own smug way. Mars slowly walked up to his boss, unsure of what to expect from the alien. "Sir, you required my services?" Mars asked, about to turn his shoulder if Hompf tried to punch him in the jugular again. Pstha instead rose to greet him, and by rose one meant simply rose the back of his Couchomobile (tm) until his various facial appendages faced Mars. Happily letting some gas out of one of his ... holes, Hompf smiled widely at Mars.

"Ah, Mars! My trusty companion, my loyal servant, my faithful messenger, it has been too long since we had last seen each other." Homf brought his tentacles up for an embrace, which Mars more than a little begrudgingly gave. Mars rolled his eyes internally, knowing his boss was tripping off Tuo-va'i again, also known in more human tongues as mint. Hompf floated excitedly to his virtoboard and began explaining things to Mars.

"See, now you see, the Euterians are in our debt, and not just a little. Some 40 trillion dollars and change has been pumped into their shithole of a polity. The Emperor has blown enough money on some useless and fanciful war that...." At this Hompf began giggling like when he was back in his own pond pool, "well it was incredibly fruitful war for us, loss leader and all that rock. Now, seeing that they owe us some money and are rapidly approaching 100% debt to GDP, we need to have a little chat with the Emperor. He needs to see how things are done, and how capitalism truly works in the big wide worlds of the Uni Galaxy. We need to send a message to this man, to show that even the largest in life needs to pay his debts." At this Hompf began giggling manically before passing out suddenly with a squish.

Mars was uncertain what to do as his boss napped on the floor, but knew that whatever he did had to be correct. With a fairly apathetic shrug he turned and walked to Hompf's personal brainputer and began typing in commands. He better get a raise for this nonsense.

Computer, what is the status on the Queen?

|Her Majesty is doing well, a bit shocked and bruised, but she is healthy|

What the hell happened out there? Why was she attacked?

|I feel as if the enemies of the Empire and Oligarchy may be behind it sir.|

We cannot know for certain if they are, but if they are, then this hostile action against our Queen will be an act of war against the Ratugon state!

The Golden One formally condemns this assassination attempt on a reigning monarch

A New Heir?

In Ratugon today, the people are relieved after Queen Zoey Butsan was caught in an attack while at a gala in Kronesia. The Queen returned unharmed, but something is different about the Queen. It has been almost two years since she and Lukas Kyut married, and with the fascist coup and the attempt on the Queen's life, their story has been nothing but political. Now they get some social and alone time together.

Today the couple made an announcement that the Queen was Pregnant! She is about 3 months along now, but already speculation has arisen on who the next in line to the kingdom will be. The couple has refused to comment on the baby's gender or if there are twins, all we know is that Ratugon's next heir is coming soon!

Volkov looked at his journal he had in his hand. Nine years ago, he found that journal in the files of the Special Xenonaut Project. Starting with that ominous message at the end of the first meeting with Commander Cross, he met the same person who wrote that journal. His sister, Jaime, assumed to be dead 25 years ago during the alien invasion. Instead, she was saved by the aliens and ended up with the Fire Ants. She told him about how the chips were part of the plan for Project Super, a program to create supersoldiers fueled by cybernetic technology. Volkov ignored her, but it turned out to be true. The Board of Directors sounded like a sham. It turned out that she was right. Ten years have made Peter realize that the Republic of Cygni was run by a group of greedy, corrupt puppet masters.

Better late than never, he supposed. A few months before, he declined a third term for the presidency and gave it to his opponent, Phillip Teagan. Now, he was going to do what he feels is necessary for the people of Cygni. Peter went out of the door from his room. A guard noticed him.

"Mr. President, what are you doing up so late?"

"Just couldn't sleep. No need to worry. I'm going to get a drink."

"I'm going to have to accompany you."

"Why?"

"Haven't you heard? They're trying to crack down on infillllll ..."

The guard collapsed. Behind the now downed guard was Cypher, the silver humanoid who was helping him escape.

"Here," Cypher said. Cypher handed Peter the tazer he was carrying.

"Shall we go?"

"Yes."

Peter and Cypher headed to the library. By pushing a certain brick, you were able to take one of the secret entrances into the ancient tunnels beneath the residence. Anybody without a map to the tunnels would be stuck in a maze, but Volkov had a map and knew where they were going. After ten minutes through the tunnels, they finally reached their rendezvous point, where someone would pick them up.

"Allright, Mr. President," said the driver of the vehicle. "We have a very tight schedule to Derhad."

"I prefer it if you would just call me Peter," he responded. "I'm not exactly proud of being a puppet and a fool."

"Damn right you were, with their grubby hands shoved all the way up your ass."

"You were never that subtle, Jaime."

"I never was, and I never intend to be. I'm just glad that you finally decided to do something about this goddamned Empire of Sin."

"Yeah."

As Peter looked up at the stars, he thought about what will happen. It was only a matter of time before the preparations are ready for Cygni to make the first, decisive move that will turn the balance of power on its head. Once it does, it will be difficult for this new juggernaut to be stopped.

((This was truely a great game, and thank you, alex, for making it possible.

On the note of ending songs, I feel this is pretty appropriate:

A have to say with all that grand democratic alliance stuff my absolute monarchy with a human rights situation that would make north korea squeamish was feeling a little nervous

Epilogue

Warning:

The Epilogue is not written in a year by year base and separated in neatly section for each nation, instead is written by events that concern nation as example i could write lot fo s war involving 3 nations but nothing about a nation that did not get involve in anything or let say 5 years etc. There will not be paragraph for this nation, if you want to know what happens you will have to read it all as time and involvement is fluid and i can go back and forth between the time period established a section is covering.
The events, actions, fortunes and misfortunes that occur to each nation are final, there will be no changing or rewritten, for its the epilogue after all. Now sit back and enjoy.

Tales of the Past: A Written history of the galactic history of the last century, required book for Advance XenoHistory class.

4710-4720: Post Contact Decade

The so called first Contact age ended little after the catastrophic event that was the merging of galaxy duo and our galaxy, and it was vastly different from what both galaxies started. in only 10 years many polities and races went extinct and destroyed and wars were fought be it from incomprehensible cultural barriers, greed or underestimating other races. However by the end of the Contact age only two nation were still at war, the following age would prove to be much different from the contact age where war was limited and casualties few, with many horrors unleashed and better technologies and tactics employed. This chapter will cover major events, their causes, effects on the galaxy and how they build up for the next decades, its our hope that by the end of it you reader understand why it was called the post contact age instead of just continuing being the contact age.

4710-4712: Prelude to PAX-2

This age started with the continuation of the named “Forever War” between the Adrallan Ollygarchy and the Euterian Empire. By a time where most of the polities had put behind that first contact disarray and organization, bilateral talks, and even peace was enjoyed this two nations continued engaged in their seemingly stale war. However this could not continue forever especially with the Euterian Empire in dire financial condition which let to a decision by the Euterians to increase the severity of it and use a different method to win it at all cost. By the middle of the year suddenly a new disease not know to the Adrallans began spreading in the colony of Bizanze and even the capital system of Daredi, by the time authorities which were concentrated fully in a renewed offensive against bagerud noticed the new disease, hundred of thousands were infected and dying and suspected millions could be in initial states of it, an aggressive policy of quarantined and fighting the disease followed, by the end of the year just as Grand Admiral Relacey decimated the defending fleet on badgerud and once more landed and army on the ruined plant, over one million had died and as many as twenty million were believed infected by this new Virus which was come to be known as PAX (no sources establish how it came to be known as that, but believed Eutherian informants leaked the name to give terror to adrallan population). However as you may guess it this was simply not enough for the Euterian high command and rumors that a retrovirus cure had been found by an adrallan scientist made the it a bigger disappointment.

Instead of just giving it up the unyielding command ordered their scientist something more deadly, and useful, one fringe scientist on the field of Virology which had been ostracized many years ago for radical and some though insane theories gave a proposal to the Emperor which he couldn't resist, if the extraordinary amount of money he needed was given to him, he promised to deliver a virus as never it had seen before in the history of all, a virus to wipe out species. Code Named: PAX2.0 began to be develop as the Euterian Admirals began to prepare for the defense of their two colonies which they fortified and where the fleet was sent.

In all of this, the Euterian Empire subsisted thanks to the never ending loans by the Financial giant that was the BRC banking subsidiary, whom to the surprise of many continue dto give credit to the empire for ships and their functioning. In july 4711 with ten million dead and seventy million infected Pax was cured and quarantine lifted once more kicking out the adrallan economy in to their known efficiency, but there was no doubt the ship production had suffered greatly thank to it. Grand Admiral Relacey tactical genius (One if not the greatest military mind that the Oligarchy ever produced by some accounts) Continued his drive towards the Imperial capital of New Euteria, achieving victory at the battle of Xehosy and Baeso and great cost but annihilating most of the Euterian fleet and much of its high command with little reinforcement however he posed to strike into New Euteria soon enough to not lose the advantage.

In New Euteria the dead of most of the Admirals and grand admirals sent into panic the Navy with any ship armed and taken for the defence of the capital and the shipyards sent into overdrive without care for the consequences of their structural integrity or product finished with ships of the ten fleet being only partially reactivated. Back in Daredi and other Oligarchy system a full sweep of the Euterian Infiltrators was on the way with them responding with terrorist attacks, bombings shootings and so one disrupting more the adrallan sense of stability and organization, with many starting to think the leaders were incompetent and not doing their job correctly. That year the group that would come to be know as the “Red Sword” was born in the deep of the Oligarchy low echelons.

However not even the upcoming second Battle of New Euteria delayed the Chief of the PAX 2.0 development, as for Dr.Thanus this was the culmination of a lifelong dream and the utilization of PAX 1.0 had accelerated rapidly the development, some sources say that just as the battle of New Euteria was beginning the doctor looked up from his installation in the outer ring of the system and exclaimed, behold and fear for i have become the killer of all, death itself!.

Now this point of the war changed the course of it, and we can say without mistake altered the lives of billions across the start in the following years for everyone including the Euterians themselves.

The Second Battle of New Euterian occurred during the entire month of december, with Relacey Fleet jumping from the Euterian occupied colonies into New Euteria. The battle was a desperate one, with no unified command and with many ships half working or half finished taking actions to best the military genius of Relacey and his highly organized forces. The first two week of comta around moons and asteroid belts gave a resounding victory for the invaders with a kill ratio of 1:5 in favor of the Oligarchical Navy. Its believed the first coordinated navy-land forces action in space occurred here with many battle for moons and anti-ships defences centers on asteroids and the uncountable structures and defence grids all happening at the same time. However even in such great destruction no reinforcement were coming for Relacey and began to wear little by little on the fleet, and with more and more ships being thrown at them the battle began to change sides. Settling main command near the same moon where the infame Dr.Thanus had developed PAX 2.0 the fleets continued their battle until the Oligarchy pushed the fight to the very last defense of the Empire on the moon of the New Euteria Planet. As we all known here is where the so called “New Euteria Miracle” occurred. The Imperial forces surrounded 3-1 managed against all predictions and possibilities not only to fend off but to defeat the Oligarchical Fleet and send them in retreat to Bizanze. It is said all was thanks to Admiral Rosal whom had become admiral the day before the battle around the moon as the next in line for the position, all the way down to captains of individual ships.

The battle itself is not well understood, as many records has been lost, but what we know is as the Invaders fleet began their attack still dormants operatives of the Euterian in the fleet activated and began fighting to take control of ships throwing in momentary disarray the right wing and giving time for the Imperial fleet to it the center in force. With bravery and the insanity of being that known are doom if victory is not achieved they fought the adralland and pushed them against the defenses on the moons, killing the vice admiral in charge of the right wing and make it panic with a retreat, this sudden retreat of ⅓ of the navy hosted the battle with Relacey annihilating the center of the Euterian fleet but the left wing being destroyed and scattered in the process with now not enough ships he ordered retreat to the outer ring and where a defense was established as was hoped more ships were in the way to maintain the beach head. another week of combat proved the contrary and the badly damaged and skeletal fleet retreated from the system and occupied installations.

Reinforcement did come and Xehosy and Banso were put in defensive mode meanwhile the fleet went back all the way to badgerud for critical repairs. However without the admiral who needed medical treatment after an explosion took his arm and with caution of the Euterian it was settle to better wait for more ships and restructuring the fleet to attempt to take New Euteria, after all they couldn't take their colonies back even if the wanted too. The war on the colonies was however brutal with widespread resistance and infiltration combine with guerrilla warfare was taking its toll as such over 30 million young men and woman had been drafted and send to the colonies to establish iron control over them which was achieved effectively by the time the 8th fleet was back home the following year.

In The Euterian the euphoric of the victory on the battle came with a terrible news for the Emperor, the nation was bankrupt and the interest on the debts were killing them, so they needed to increase taxes or default. The needed amount of money and with the interest to win the war made the interest to be raise to extraordinary fifty percent, reassuring the war was soon to be won, for if it continue long they would probably get a rebellion by its people, the ship reactivation and building continued but, everyone knew on the high command they needed to win quick or would be doomed. The Intelligence services of the Empire finally had their say and assured everyone to not worry for PAX 2.0 was on its way to the Oligarchy carried it by themselves without knowing with the best agents left infiltrating many ships of the oligarchy in their retr
eat.

In another Part of the galaxy The Xin Li Empire continued their massive war effort, probably the biggest seen in the galaxy, starting by continuously building ships to reinforce Wonadu and the invasion of Obmia in order to destroy the remnants of the clone navy. Once was achieved the system was left alone and the blockade of Wonadu started by the beginning of year 4711 twenty million draftees were dropped into Skudrat system in order to bring it to their knees and secure the supply lines for the invasion of Wonadu for which Xin Li planners were mobilizing a force of one Hundred million Xin li’s. The Skudrat system was pacified in less than 3 months as the invaders were courteous and the Clones knew that no hope was for them with around 1 million causality for the Xin Li army the 1 billion strong system surrendered unilaterally.

July 4711 the biggest mast land on recorded history up to that point started. The Empire for all its woes had manage to increase war frenziness on the empire Youth and 1 hundred million recent volunteers stared through the visors the system which they were invading. Wonadu was home to seven billion clones, and contrary to what the Emperor was hoping for, no notice or surrender was received. The landing was ordered and so the hellish descend into Wonadu started. Even though the Xin Li fleet had been bombing the planet the small size of it with non advance weaponry had done damage mainly to civilian landing zone, but the clones had hide most of their anti-aerial defences which opened fire once landing started. Its believed on the 2 hours landing operation between ten to fifteen million lives were lost./ what followed was a brutal fight by the Xin Li to secure the beach had, silence the aerial resistance of the area and establish a position where they could be reinforced safely. The whole operation took the rest of the year with immediate calls for mass mobilization and war economy done in the fragile empire. Six months of gruesome fighting, staying sometimes weeks in the same trenches before assaulting enemy positions, with bodies littering the no mans land and few space support only where no aerial defences existed. the Xin li fought through mud, and dead for six months to secure a beachhead big enough to start bringing more reinforcements and troops and they bleed for it. By the end of the year and beginning of 4712, what would be call later “the six months of hell” over half the initial landing force was dead or irreparable out of commission and many thought it was thanks to the Mechanized units that the army had not been completely wiped out as the Clone forces lacked them and they were useful to overrun trenches. By the end of the year however the newly conscripted forces of Xin li began to show up for the hell that the Wonadu conquest would become for the empire. Estimates from their high command called for five hundred million recruits with over 30 million mechanized units to win the war.

This four nations usually grab most of the attention of historians and books about the so call pre-pax period, for they contain a more what one would say interesting or for many the morbid obsession with military tactics. However we cannot forget other states existed too, and they had their interesting share of problems to talk about and discuss.

First lets start off with the Hroth Emergency Council, as you know from previous chapters of this book, the Hroth were engaged in a war against three local warlords of what was commonly call the Hemilthia Remnants coalition. The coalition had manage to scare a brilliant victory over the HEC fleet the years before and with weapons and supplies pouring out of the Baekdu Republic, many felt confident that the warlords could hold on until a more warhawk leaders assumed control of the republic.

The Hroth were no fools and had already correctly assumed that was the hope of the republican military and maybe even the people of the Helmithia Remnants, but they would deny that wish at all cost. A second Invasion of the halli system was carried on by a fleet of the Hroth and once more beaten back easily by the coalition navy, this gave the Impression to all (including Hroth citizens, a risky move) that The Hroth navy was not a threat in the foreseeable future for the Remnants. Warlord Hallix was not one to ever let a chance to past and basking on hroth weakness and his neighbor warlord Mikas of Ateria full concentration on defending Hellix by the end of year 4711 after retiring most of his fleet from the frontline to be repair and with ships he had hold back launched an invasion of the Ateria system, overwhelming the defenders quickly and landing forces on to the planet which quickly began to engage the few defenders crops left.

When news Reached Mikas of hellix move he began ordering his fleet to return to his system and expel back Hellix, with this the defense line was opened and the hroth Struck once more with their real fleet for which they had diverted every resource possible for the last two years. The forces of Hallix were easily overwhelmed and the Hroth pushed further jumping into the week long battle on the space of Ateria, obliterating whatever remained of the two fleets and landing troops on Ateria too. By the end of year 4712 millions of soldiers by the Hroth were fighting insurgency and enslaving in mass the Helmithias in Ateria and Kandar meanwhile in Halli for the defeats and their honor they began to simply kill everyone on the system as a message of accept slavery or dead to the Universe. The Helmithians tried to put up a resistance, but weapons were short in hand and they had never have a strong land battling thinking so everyone expected complete subjugation by the end of 4713

The other noteworthy events around the galaxy at this point is what is knows as the Red fang “ascension” on the Voogoonam Homeworld as a criminal organization of noteworthy. In less than 5 years from its beginning around 4709 up to the events of 4714 this gang had a meteoric raise on power in the corrup voogoonam underworld obtaining money and weapons from uknown sources that later were discover to be from the Krestory Empire the gang was already in a position of power by early 4711 and involved in a massive gang war that would last another 2 years by the end of 4712, bringing instability and bloodshed to the streets of voogoonam city of levels not known until the Krestory War.
