I've just uploaded an open beta version of patch 2.1.5 to Steam.
If you want to help us test it, right click the game in the Steam client, choose Properties, click the "Betas" tab and select the "Beta 2.1.5.1" version of the game.

Because of problems on Mac with our previous launcher and the lack of a launcher on Linux we decided to support all the platforms with one unified launcher that will work identically on both Windows, Linux and Mac.

This is simply the first revision and in the future this Launcher will support much more than the previous old one ever could.

Here's the full change log:

Spoiler

MAJOR
- New Launcher! All platforms now use the same launcher, this will allow us to do all kinds of cool things with the launcher in the future
but for now it simply means that all platforms have one.

MINOR
- Ghanan band and Ghilman merc compositions are no longer naval.
- Saint Addai holy order is no longer available before the event chain enables them.

INTERFACE
- Titles in diplomatic interactions no longer sorted.

CONVERTER
- Fixed crash from temporary titles
- Fixed indian cultures.
- Fixed invalid religion icon for jain

The converter fix is most welcome. I'm sure many will appreciate the universal launcher, especially Linux users.

we are looking into the memory problems we are having ( and that are even worse on 32bit OSs ), the multiplayer problems also seem related to memory use so that will solve itself once we find a solution to the memory issues.

There's still something missing in the converter! You added the Indian cultures but you forgot the other ones (Khanty, Karluk, Kirghiz, Afghan, Baloch)! edit: Nubian too

And you need to update religion_table.csv to include Messalian and Paulician.

That should be the reason why we cant play AGOT 0.6.2 multi properly now.

This is patch 2.1.5
Since 2.1 we started with a new system for numbering our versions to get a more standardized way to do it.

The numbers mean as follow:

Major - Major update changes to the game or strategy of the product
Minor - Refers to the expansion patch. So Sons of Abraham was 2.0 while Rajas of India is 2.1
Patch - The patch currently on for this expansion patch.
Beta Patch - Current patch that has gone out for beta testing, open or closed.

So when this finally goes live this will be patch 2.1.5.

As someone who recently bailed on a game because the borked Ghilman meant Rum was a joke, THANK YOU!

Please keep up the good work. Maybe fix the AI's inability to use holy orders and give Nubians (the best culture in the game) their own cultural retinues and buildings during this beta?

I tested using a save I started in 2.1.3; the converter does work, even with revolter titles going around, and I didn't notice any problems with province ownership as a result. Though the issues noted in post #11 do apply.
