I am thinking of breaking off of the Kingdom of Sweden, but I can't decide, where I should go. I am a count in the north Sweden and I am of norse religion.

I am sure that I wan't to create a maritime realm of my kingdom. My one certain rule for this playthrough is: "I must be able to reach every county in my realm with boats." So, every county along sea coasts and rivers are available to conquer. Second rule: "Provinces in my realm must be adjecent or border the same sea province if not adjecent."

I am thinking of starting from Uusimaa or Reval+Narva and expand along the river towards east. Founding my first provinces along rivers or the inland seas is kind of bad idea because game is programmed not to let me build ships in those provinces. Although future expansion into these provinces is acceptable. At first, I thought to expand to Kvens and/or Kola, but to be frank, Scandinavian provinces look:

The only county that can stand any kind of critisism in the Finnish area, is the Uusimaa province, others are just damn ugly.

What do you think, I should do? Perhaps, I should start from a different place alltogether?

Do what I always fail to do on Ironman... rebuild the Roman Empire from Sicily starting as a Norse.
Just capture all the vulnerable spots in the Mediterranean and go from there.
