Merc Doge is quite interesting how does this happen? Is it enough if they gain a city?
Also: Isn't there a mod that makes screenshots every ear? I think there is one for EUIV. Maybe there is one for CK2 aswell?

I did something similar. I played with the CK2+ and Duke to Republic mods as a Norse Chief in Brittany. After getting a stable realm I let the AI handle things for about 300 years, then exported to EU4.

And yes, I had to intervene once or twice to stop the AI from screwing up the whole thing. My Dynasty also got lost somewhere in there...

given the size of the monophysite religion, i'd say they're monophysites and not muslims. if that's true, that's interesting.
A greek king of Frisia from a croatian (or serbian ?) dynasty.. You only see that in CK2 ^^
I created a Druidic Britannia once, and after I ground Catholicism to dust and brought Brittany, Frisia, Lotharingia, Burgandy and most of Portugal into the empire (only Brittany had drifted into the empire at this point) I decided to let the AI handle it for a while.
After 200 years the lost all the non-de jure holdings AND Karlings had gained control of my empire. However, my dynasty controlled Norway, Denmark, and a personal union of France, Burgundy, and Italy that eventually recreated Francia and gobbled Aquitaine, Lotharingia, and Bavaria. By the time I stopped watching and deleted the file (for 2.0) they were pushing a vassal king's claim on Germany.

At some point, prior to the year 1288, one can say that some unexpected visitors from both the orient and the occident are upon Europe while the natives are still involved in their petty disputes. Also as requested (since I forgot last time), the all important religion map as well as the culture map will be part of this update!
