Hey everyone.

I stumbled onto this game via some AAR I was reading and I got to thinking "what is this game all about?" I play a lot of other PDS games and I know the game is about the Napoleonic Wars (Vive la France!) but how does it play in comparison to, say, EU4? Anything would be great. I'm going to try the demo as soon as it downloads, but I thought I would ask here first. Before a coalition stomps my face in, or something.

Thanks!

It's a battle game. You gather and organize your armies and fleets, assign generals and admirals, then decide on how best to capture the necessary cities you need to dominate the land and sea. Politics and nation improvement are there but play a smaller part of the game.

Strategy is important. Which countries/cities to target; which to leave alone? When best to declare a war without being attacked from another country when you're in no position to do anything about it.

Tactics can be said to play a part as well. Army composition, along with the traits learned by the generals leading them, can determine whether your armies prevail.

There isn't the global reach of HoI or Vic, nor the personal stories of CK or Sengoku leaders. It's a simple, enjoyable war game.
