Resurrecting IFU?

Perhaps I´m a bit pessimistic but currently there is not much traffic on the FtG forum and people rarely work on mods that are better known than IFU.
Converting an entire mod from EU2 to FtG properly and taking advantage of all the new commands and triggers is a lot of work.

mod for FtG who both have start dates before the vanilla 1419 startyear?
 
I don't want to convert the old IFU files, but use some of the mod's general ideas (events) as a baseline for a brand new Dark Age mod. The start date should be 751, to give the player the chance to build the Carolingian Empire or prevent the disintegration of the Abbasid Caliphate.
