One of the most surprising additions is a free mini-expansion. Paradox Development Studio wanted to work on African DLC, but instead they’ve integrated it into the Rajas update. Think of it as a mini-expansion. The Nubian culture has been expanded, and that entire region has been given more depth and character. Decadence, the mechanic introduced in Sword of Islam for Muslim rulers, has also been tweaked, making taking a trip to North Africa well worth your time.

Fabulous news! Might just try the Nubia area when the expansion is out.

Woohoo!

Let's hope they did a good work.

Groogy said in official thread that there will be a dev diary in 2 weeks or so, I guess we have to be patient.

Meanwhile there are haters who want us to believe that Paradox has become the new EA and only cares about money.

Seriously now, Keep up the good work Paradox! :)

So they deepen existing mechanics and groups... And for free.

Not free. If not RoI, it wouldn't be there for free... it's part of DLC, but they have to give it for free as a part of patch, cause people already paid for that. :)

But it's for everyone in the patch. Of course they financed it with the DLCs... :)

Yup but if PDX was anything like EA they would release it separately for $5 or so; this only shows their (superior) approach to the customer and the community :)

If paradox would be a lot better, they would release a lot of stuff for free. : d

Then they would run out of money and stop making games in 1 month.

along with that there's mention of making the red sea navigable.. I wonder how this will be accomplished. early Suez canal? no probably not though the greeks where known for dragging ships over rails when crossing narrow peninsulas. i mean otherwise, and unless they change the AI a bit, all fleet levies will be raised on both sides leading to nations going quite bankrupt especially since they wouldn't be able to form up

By the way, should we interpret "The Nubian Culture has been expanded" as meaning that it will now actually exist, in game?

Either they've improved the AI, or they're representing the portage there or the Canal of the Pharaohs.
