Are you on the most recent patch? I mean, it's been months since I last saw a post about this bug so I thought it had been fixed.

Hm. That's somewhat untenable--thirty plus years of deaths is a bit of trouble. Anything in the savefile that can be altered/deleted to halt it? >_>;

2.0.3, but since the update after that is to do with cloud saves and EUIV, I don't think it's likely to make any difference.

I'd imagine either using the console to trigger event 70002 (tournament is over event) or getting rid of the tournament flags for all characters in the realm in the save file would work. Haven't tried it myself though (don't have any save file in which the bug is running in which I can try)
