((Well, if I could change one thing about the AAR, it would be the election setup. I'd like the players to be more involved in the election itself, rather than the game/GM controlling it. Perhaps newspapers or events could be useful? You could ask the leader of a party to make decisions regarding events in their 'strongholds' or something along those lines. Anyway, just what I was thinking, since it gets kind of inactive during elections in here.
 
((I want to limit player agency in elections intentionally; the idea is that our AAR is at least somewhat grounded in the "alternate reality" of our game. Flaggate notwithstanding. ;) That said, I'd be willing to listen to specific proposals.))

What we do is, create events that show a certain group being rebellious, like, say, communists, socialists, reactionaries, what have you -- and then have the tag for their "new Germany" (Holy Roman Empire, German Reich, Deutsche Volksrepublik, say --) start gaining cores on states (like, Lombardy, Silesia, whatever) -- and then after a certain amount of pre-requisites are taken, the event fires, and the civil war begins... and if it fails, those who backed the new regime will be executed/forced to create a new character as theirs are in jail, meanwhile, if the revolution/enemy of the state wins, the characters who backed the old regime flee the country, and we could probably become a "Germany-in-exile"; or play the new state.))

((Or even have events where like, a country "demands" you hand over a certain amount of land to them (say, France wants OTL borders) -- you can say "yes", and cede it to them, or say "no", and then France gets a free CB on us.))

With the global flag "germania_delenda_est", it will allow us to create decisions for say, France, Poland, Hungary, whoever. When "germania_delenda_est" is a global flag active, the governments will get an option to "demand" provinces. They can either support the measure, or say "It's best we let the Germans be." (which sets the country_flag to "no_versailles", which would make them unable to take the decision again.)

If they support it, an event fires for them which lets them pick the severity of their demands -- France can demand, say, partial territory, full OTL territory, or Napoleon's "west bank" ambition -- Germany can either capitulate or accept.

When the civil war is over, the winning side gets an event which clears "germania_delenda_est" and replaces it with "auferstanden_aus_ruinen", which grants Germany a significant buff to rebuild her manpower, industry and national integrity after the end of the civil war.

3. The Italian nationalists see through this facade and use the "liberation" as propaganda
4. Nationalist sentiment begins to spread
5. Revolts in Milan, Rome, Naples, Palermo, and Turin
6. An Italian Congress is held in Rome
7. Italy declares independence
8. War
9. Other nations have the option to intervene or not

Basically, I'm envisioning something similar to the American War of Independence, except with Italy.))

Maybe we have two different groups, one Germany-in-exile group, and another new state group. But then again, the Germany-in-exile group could be boring.))

I am most definitely in favor of implementing it, since it'll liven up the game and give us (and Avindian) a fun challenge!))
