This micro-mod replaces the wave and ship sounds heard during all combat with empty .wav files, so you no longer hear these distracting sounds.

To use, unzip in your mod folder.

Feel free to use or adapt in any other mod.

If you listen carefully there is the sound of waves and creaking wood during combat, obviously intended for ship-to-ship combat (which isn't in the game). For some reason these sounds play during land battles alongside the normal combat sounds.

Oh, you got me all excited, I thought something had snuck in in an update that I didnt know about. Always makes me mad when I can defeat the entire norse raiders, yet they still get away with my money because its on the ship.

the funny thing is that the Naval_Battle_Background.wav is actually stronger than the Land_Battle_Background.wav

on a related side note, is the Siege.wav being used at all in-game? Or was that the sound being used when assaulting? (somehow, I'm not sure)

Yeah it's really strange that these naval sounds are played at all -- they're not even listed in sound.sfx so it must be hardcoded somewhere.
And yes they're much louder than the land sounds.

siege.wav does appear to be the assault sound, of course it never plays on its own but is overlayed with the battle sounds.
