I'm playing a vanuilla CK2 game (no DLC whatsoever; planning on getting Old Gods & Legacy of Rome for next playthrough).
I'm currently Emporer of Hispania, covering most West europe + north & west Africa. My Emperor dies and my elected sucessor; my son, also King of Denmark, takes command.
The independent faction grows and, after the +50 opinion from the 'defending against foreigners' goes when that war ends, the faction soon grows and a civil war ensues.
I was expecting this.
However I suddenly find that my levies are tiny. About 2/3k where the same vassals were giving 10K+ with the previous Emperor. This is the case even for those with near +100 opinion.
And, a few days after the civil war breaks out an event pop up that says people are flocking to the rebelling vassals. They now have a doomstack of 101K.
Has something about levy size happened that I didn't take into account? Or are these changes from the patch?
