I started as a count of Luxembourg under the Duke of Niederlothringen (swmh naming) who went on to become a super duke. He had the duchy of Moselle, Brabant and a few others.
So I fabricated my way to owning all the four counties of de jure Luxembourg. By this time my liege, the super duke, had also created the Duchy of Luxembourg.
So I saved up enough money, hired mercs and declared an Independence war. It was tough but due to an alliance with the equally massive Duchy of Carinthia, I was able to overcome and win the war.
I quickly pause the game and prepare to usurp the Duchy of Luxembourg when my new liege, the Holy German Emperor, transfers my vassalage to the duke I just fought with. The very next day!
I was so frustrated. I mean, here I am, a count holding all the provinces of de jure Luxembourg and this Duke gets me back just because he has the title!
Would it make sense to at least have a cooldown period before you can ask for vassal transfers?
