Or should I say EUIV AAR subforum? Well anyhow, it has been a long time since I did try my luck doing these things called AARs. So this is a little scary to me but I hope I can cope with it (since I have so much free time from the university, who would think that?). Taking the step to making an AAR has taken me a few months to gather the courage to do it, since I believe myself to be rather lazy and therefore don't believe I could be able to do it. So this is some sort of a challenge to myself as well as trying to entertain you (win-win if I succeed).
The beginnings of this attempt lies some 1-2 years back in time, around my first attempt for an AAR. I had an idea back then of making an AAR series in playing smaller wars for a limited period of time and then moving on to another war, each war an AAR for itself. This led to two AARs, one about the Greath Northern War (Playing Sweden) and one about the Eighty Years War (Playing the United Provinces). Ultimately this culmianted in a series about the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, hence, the wars of each coalition and I made it to the war of the 5th och 6th coalition (Napoleon's invasion of Mother Russia... stupid as he was). But I never made it fruther either due to lack of will or i lost a save game in the middle of one of the AARs.
My journey through the perilous lands that is AAR fiction entered a new phase and I decided to try my luck doing a comic AAR polandballesque about The Adventures of King Polandball and it fared pretty well (though at the end I didn't update it regularly as I lost my willforce to draw the whole thing) untill it ended after some 22 chapters. I dislike myself for the fact that I didn't manage to complete a ”big” AAR but I will not try on that for some time yet.
So that was the background story... sort of... I have now decided to start a new series about the ”smaller” wars of history and I am going to be doing it more interesting for you readers I hope by playing the underdogs in the wars I am going to play through the series. So where is the best place to start if not at the end of the EUIV time frame? I have already once tried the wars of French revolution and Napoleon so I won't go there but I decided to start with the American War for Independence (or American revolution). Might as well call it Inexperienced-fellas-overseas-beat-the-baddest-guys-at-the-time-war if you like but I go with what I said earlier.
So let's begint the quest for Independence!

RULES
1. The War will be fought from 4 July 1776 to September 3 1783 and thus is the span of the AAR
2. To achieve victory, either force a peace with the English
3. If not to win, then fight it out to a stalemate which is either white peace or 30% warscore in our favour
4. Our armies are only allowed to fight aginst the English in North America, our fleet is limited to the sea zones bordering our country and the English on the North American continent
5. Profit??
