The diplomatic front has seen many recent changes, and if France is to keep its international position and to honour its obligations, France needs to make her voice heard regarding these evolutions.

The situation in Hungary is worrisome, as even the new government refuses to see Hungary has been defeated time and time again; and they dare to insult our friends and the able diplomats who wrote this treaty. For such insolence must be punished, France proposes to force the treaty upon Hungary by force if needed, as a sane government will surely appear at some point - for Hungarian governments don't last long. Should the Hungarians refuse to sign this year, France proposes to remove article 25 of the treaty, so as to ensure that such state will never be able to threaten the stability of the region again.
Oh. It seems Hungary has finally learned from the past and has signed. It is good, and France will thus drop its previous stance regarding article 25.

In Turkey, our forces have just arrived in Cilicia, and everything is under control. The final draft of a preliminary treaty with the Ottomans is being written as I speak, and soon peace will reach this part of the world too. The last issues remaining are being addressed with the Italian and Greek ambassadors in Paris, and the survival of the Ottoman state, in a reduced form, will be ensured. the Turkish people mustn't fear us, as we have come to free them, without the burden of their oversized empire, they will be able to create their own modern state.

Regarding the situation in Danzig, it is good to see that the provisions of the Versailles treaty are being applied, and the territories of Memel and Sarre might even use this as inspiration for the future. However, France is most displeased to see that the Conference of Ambassadors hasn't even been consulted regarding this move and Sir Richard Tower's actions are quite worrying, for the League is supposed to represent its members and not to appoint autocratic rulers.

The situation in Poland doesn't seem to be going towards peace, and this saddens us, as France believes that enough blood has been shed in the trenches. However, as per the decision of the War Council, France will deliver aircrafts to Poland, in order to help them gain aerial superiority.

France is glad to see that the troubles in Ireland have come to an end and welcomes its new Irish ally and recognizes it.

On a totally different matter, France is amazed to see that the Dutch use such large flags. Surely this mustn't be practical.

The situation in Germany is still changing and while France does not oppose per se the new German government, we will wait until further notice to issue any statement on the subject.

We have been informed of of the recent unconditional acceptance of the Treaty of Trianon by Hungary. We feel greatly relieved by the consolidation of a peace that puts an end to the bloody conflict that saw many Romanians die to defend the motherland from foreign agression. Finally, the territories that unfairly were part of the former Austro-Hungarian crown have been returned to their rightful owners, and finally the Romanian people can contemplate the union of all their compatriots under the banner of Greater Romania.

Similarly, the just compensation that our people will receive from the agressors according to the Treaty will serve to rebuild our country and to provide each householder the opportunity to start a new life based on the principles of work, peace and honesty.

We also want to thank the Allied powers, and especially the French Republic, for the support they provided us for this treaty and its signing and we extend our offer of friendship to all the neighboring nations who want to build a community of peace and prosperity between all European nations.

- German Tariffs on Tin Imports from the Dutch East Indies will be lowered to 5%.
- German Tariffs on Oil Imports from the Dutch East Indies will be lowered to 5%.
- German Tariffs on Copper Imports from the Dutch East Indies will be lowered to 5%.

The German provisional government agrees to the proposed economic treaty. Final ratification will follow after the establishment of permanent government institutions in the country.
 
End? Of the Chaos

In 1920, Venustiano Carranza, thinking that the next president of Mexico should not be a general, backed the candidacy of a obscure diplomat. In response to this act, a group of Sonoran generals renewed the revolution. Thus, the army under the aforementioned group of Generals (notably containing Álvaro Obregón, the future president of Mexico) took control of Mexico City. As the army under Venustiano Carranza retreated, he was betrayed, and thus Carranza died on 21 May 1920.

A shaky, but promising future, lays ahead of Mexico under now president Álvaro Obregón.

The Cuban people are very grateful to the Americans who helped liberating Cuba from the Spaniards and then supporting it to become the stable nation we are today. In no way do I want to end our trade relations and I want to stress that it is our trade with the United States that has helped Cuba prosper as it has. But I and my ministers feel that it is time for the Cubans to stretch their wings and take its place in the world market. We believe this will let Cuba's economy flourish and this in turn will make a stronger, more stable Caribbeans which would be in United States interest.

Currently the Platt Amendment has restricted Cuba in the conduct of foreign policy and commercial relations which would make this impossible. We do not wish to tear the Amendment apart, we seek to revise it into a state where the Republic of Cuba is truly sovereign but that the relationship with the USA stays the same.

Considering the general reduction of army costs, so as to have funds to pay for the reparation of the estruction caused upon our homeland by the barbarian Teutons, it has been decided that the battmeships of Normandie-class, that are still ocupying the shipsyards of St-Nazaire, Brest, Lorient and La Seyne, won't be completed under their current form:

* As previously stated, the Béarn will be converted to an aircraft carrier.
* The Normandie will become the Béarn's sister-ship and converted to an aircraft carrier too.
* The Flandres, Gascogne and Languedoc won't be completed, will be disarmed and will be sold to the civilian industry, to be used for persons and goods transportation. While the Marine isn't supposed to directly oversee such sale, we have been informed that the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique was interested in acquiring at least one of the hulls.

It is in Russia's best interests to secure a peaceful future with our Baltic neighbors, to protect them from the madman Pilsudski's reckless imperial ambitions, and to further establish our great Republic as a responsible member of the international community.

The Nordic Council​

As the turmoils of the Great War has ended, Europe lies restless in shambles. In an attempt to serve as an alternative to violence, animosity and despair, Sweden and Finland have decided to form The Nordic Council to offer a just and prudent alternative to coalition alliances.
The Nordic Council will be a democratic and open Cultural collaboration between its signatories. Not only is every decision made up through the vote of each independent state's representatives (in which each signatory receives 14 elected mandates, sent by the respective country's parliament), but signatories will also agree to the fundamental principles of the Council. These are:

§1 All members of the Nordic Council will bestow upon their citizens the freedom of mobility between the signatory states. A citizen within one signatory nation may unhindered relocate to another signatory nation and freely work, study or settle there without having to apply for formal citizenship.

2§ All members shall empower each other diplomatically, if so has been decided by popular vote in the Council.

3§ A Formal Defensive Alliance to Secure Peace, and deter any military incursions against any signatory member.

4§ The formal host of the Council shall be held in turn and good order, switching each year.

Furthermore, the Nordic Council's primary objective will be to promote cultural achievements and cultural enrichments, such as mutual stipends for diligent students in the natural sciences, or for exceptional work in the traditional or novel arts. Each year such a stipend shall be formalized to one country within the Council, as proposed by that year's host, and the sum shall be determined through consensus between the signatory states by popular vote. The host may not vote, or nominate, itself for the stipend.

The Republic of Poland​

People of Poland and the World, we have struck a great blow against the Bolsheviks in our Kiev Offensive, yet wars are not won on single offensives, indeed the Bolshevik attempts to strike at the heart of our republic remind us of this fact. Contrary to the claims of the evil Bolsheviks, Poland seeks to free its neighbors from the shackles of the Bolsheviks and Russian imperialism. We seek not territory in the Ukraine as they claim but an independent state, free from the influence of Russia!

Thus, I call for every Pole to their duty and aid their country, and stand and fight against this cruel inhuman invader of Polish soil, and their covetous actions against not only Poland but also the Baltic States. Hungarians. Our republic is once more under threat. Our republic was threatened by Communists but next to the new threat that rises before us they were tame by comparison. The corrupt rightest white guards who want a military dictatorship and evil monarchists who seek the return of the Hapsburgs who led Hungary into ruin and will do so once more. Led by the traitor Admiral without a fleet Miklos Horthy they will together bring Hungary into ruin. The left must unite to stop these rightest dogs who will drag Hungary through another gutter of horror and death far worse than the one before. The army of the Republic is being strengthened to the Legal limits set by the treaty with the Allied powers to aid in our battle against the Right and I urge people to rise up against the Foul rightists to put this country back on the right track towards freedom and democracy for all Hungarians. The path forward is clear but obstructed by evil Rightist Scum and we must clear the way to a better future.

People of Lithuania,
I know the peace with Poland seems like defeat for Lithuania but that's not really true. We signed peace with Poland to stop unnecessary war and spare the life's of Lithuanians. The border is not final and Vilnius is and always will be capital of Lithuania, the current state of affair is only temporary. There is no need to spill the blood of Lithuanians on field of battle when there are better less costly ways. We will use diplomatic ways to reclaim what is rightfully ours. I ask you to have faith in the government and for patience, we shall reclaim our lands soon, Lithuania shall be whole again, it will be great again, beacon of prosperity in eastern Europe and example to other nations. We seek to rebuild our country and to secure our independence. I believe this is the best course of action for Lithuania. We also seek peaceful and cooperative relations with our neighbors so we can build our future on friendship and cooperation that brings benefit to all without bloodshed and rivalry which bring misery to all. Long live Republic of Lithuania!

The last shreds of our once proud country have been thrown to the sea. The free enterprise, the soldierly spirit and the organisational discipline on all levels of society that lead Germany to be the greatest nation in the world have all been dismissed. Over the span of 50 years, the empire lead Germany to unparalleled glory. Her army was without a match, her industry the most productive in Europe, her culture the envy of all and her scientists at the very forefront in this new century, collecting more awards for their efforts than any of the other great powers combined! Think, only for a moment, how far we might have come if she had been allowed to live on? What could our empire, that achieved so much in those 5 decades, achieve in a century, in a millennia?

But the German nation was destroyed by her own extreme love for justice and all things good in this world. She went to war to bring justice to Europe after the heinous crimes committed by Serbian conspirators in Bosnia and to defend her greatest friend and brother in blood, Austria, from an alliance that turned a blind eye to justice in the name of international power play. And Germany certainly fought well, even against these overwhelming odds! But despite our great victories, despite no German finding himself occupied, dark forces within opposed her glory. Red saboteurs and yellow-bellied men with nothing but greed and self-interest at heart destroyed Germany's war effort at her most vital moment, in order to feast upon her body in the form of this monstrous republic created by suffering and war. And feasting upon her they are, with unrestrained gluttony.

These Socialists, these Marxists, they have no family, no God, no tradition. They spit on all that Germany has stood for and take their power not through merit, love or god-given right, but from the manipulation of the crowds. They have turned the German worker away from what is best in life, away from his nation, family and culture, to the materialist dogma that they declare to despise, they mean to do nothing but feast on the riches that Germany has created for herself through millennia of hard work and then leave her dead, to sink their claws into the next nation that finds itself vulnerable.

Rise, Germans, stand up for justice, for Christ! Take to arms, to protest! Save Europe from this red menace here and now! Bring back the Empire for Germany, a Germany not only with pride but something to be proud of!

This is not an official government proclamation, right? By 1920, the government was already firmly under Horthy's influence. The country was governed by the Christian National Unity Party, which represented Horthy's ideology and was only too happy to make him regent. In fact, you are talking about "our republic", but actually, none of the parties in the government wanted a republic. The Hungarian politicians (except the soc-dems who had quit in early 1920 after Horthy's White Guards were not reined in, and were in fact given tacit approval, by the government) were unanimous in their desire for the kingdom - they didn't want a republic, as it was associated with the anti-elitist Republic led by Mihály Károlyi, and especially the communist Council Republic. Any official issuing such a proclamation in the Hungary of 1920 is committing political suicide. Remember, the post-Council Republican Hungary was not a democracy, and could never have become one without an armed revolution.

OOC: Of course it's an official Government proclamation and the leftist government of Hungary in power or trying to be in power will move Hungary forward into a new age. Just because it isn't OTl doesn't it's impossible it will either happen or we'll find out how badly it went soon enough. Any way I'm not going to run no nasty Right Hungary. Left Hungary is far superior. Also It is still early 1920 for your information.

*shrug* There was no "leftist government of Hungary" in 1920 and in fact, the leftists were thoroughly destroyed and discredited by the rightist elite. You don't seem to understand the exact conditions of Hungary after the fall of the Council Republic. But whatever, this is not my game, so it's not up to me to decide the consequences of your actions.
