I know this will make the left pretty crowded, but can I have the Socialist Party of USA?

No problem, Walt; I can take the Objectivists and yell at everyone for their mad socialisme

League_of_the_South_Logo.jpg
Leader: Dr Michael Hill
Organisation: The League of the South
Ideology: Southern nationalism

The League of the South by and large does not have a comprehensive outline of its economic policy, that being an issue firmly second to that of Southern Independence. However the League did publish an article on economics on its website (Back to Eden: From Wage Slave to Freeholder) which advocated 'freeholding'; that is, breaking the credit monopoly and returning to a economic model based around small farms and businesses. The LS economic model -as the League presumably supports the outlined positions- than tends heavily towards distributist theory. Various articles on a post-independent South (usually focusing on a specific state such as Florida, and also published by the League) do however seem to support a classic capitalist economy, e.g. an article proposing Boeing move to South Carolina to provide jobs. Still others such as the noted pro-LS blog The Southern Nationalist Network regularly carry articles idealising a more agrarian and plantation-based economy; although this is mostly based from a sense of nostalgia. With the lack of a unified policy in mind many of the following positions are more approximations than anything else.

Economic System & Public/Private ownership: Mixed economic system; tending heavily towards distributism and private ownership.
Regulations: Not in support of any but the most basic regulations
Environmentalism: The League does not have any defined position re: environmentalism; however tends to look down upon it in practice
Taxation: Heavily opposed, although whether it is regarded as a necessary evil or something that needs to be done away with is up for debate
Tariffs: No position
Unionization & Strikes: Firmly against
Welfare and Social Services: Firmly against, viewing welfare programmes as intrinsically designed to support minorities and illegal immigrants, and thus further the demographic replacement of Southrons

Secularism & Religion: The League of the South is pro-Christian and anti-secularism and views secularism as an attack against the Christian nature of the Southern people. While it is not against minority religions per se, the League would more support a church being built as opposed to a temple. Is not in favour of doing away with freedom of religion
Freedom of expression: Firmly in favour
Freedom of Assembly & Protest: Firmly in favour, and has exercised this right more than a few times
Nationalism: The League of the South is a Southern nationalist organisation which supports the independence of a free Southern state, composed of the classic CSA in addition to Maryland, West Virginia, and Oklahoma. The LS shuns the USA and the north as "Yankee Imperialists" and is not at all an American nationalist organisation
Immigration: Firmly against. The League views immigration, and especially illegal immigration, as a programme specifically designed to commit genocide by replacing and eventually extinguishing the Southern people. The League is in favour of deportation, strict borders controls, and a moratorium on all legal immigration into the South.

While I don't feel like joining this game - for much the same reasons I left the Anetaguayan one - it does look good just like the last one and I'll watch it with interest. I'll be looking forward to the mess you all will make of the USA.:p

Will we have an IRC Channel?

Libertarian_Party.svg

Leader:Gary Johnson
Party:Libertarian Party
Ideology:Libertarianism

The Libertarian party's main goal is the advancement of an America with more liberty. The party shall work tirelessly to give all American's as much liberty as possible and to decentralize the government as much as possible. Our economic policy is Non-Interventionist, we believe the economy runs best when the government interferes as little as possible. Our social policy is that all adult Americans should able to do anything they wish with in reason, this includes being able to use drugs, having an abortion, or paying for a prostitute without the government interfering by trying to legislate morality.

Economic System: Non-Interventionist, little to no government involvement in the economy so that works the best way possible.
Regulations: Minimal common sense regulations, removing regulation that only creates more red tape and discourages growth.
Environmentalism: We Libertarians propose common sense environmentalism, which means that it shall not interfere with economic growth but where national parks and other government land shall still be protected.
Taxation: We see taxation in general as detrimental, under a Libertarian government most taxes would either be reduced massively and others abolished all together.
Tariffs: We support free trade and see tariffs as nothing more then government interference in the economy.
Unions: We see unions as detrimental, they only help the select few union members and they drive prices up and efficiency down.
Secularism and Religion: Again this isn't an area the government should be involved in at all.
1st Amendment Rights: We see that the 1st Amendment rights should never under any circumstances be taken away from any citizen and that government must at all times respect those rights.
Military: The military currently is far too large and costs far too much money. We say that severe budget cuts for the military are needed and any nonsensical spending needs to be stopped.
Immigration: We see that the government should take steps to help immigrants into the country and become citizens quickly by removing pointless bureaucratic measures.
Foreign Policy: We are not the world's policeman, that is our slogan for foreign affairs. We see that all nations deserve our respect and we have no right to interfere in there domestic affairs.

Everyone approved. There will be an IRC channel, eventually.

Ok, in order to start, someone needs to take the Blue Dog Coalition. After that, we should be ready to go. Also, it would be nice if someone would take the Constitution Party.

In addition, the following people who have claimed a party need to fill out a party template:

Deathknight-New Democrat Coalition
Jeeshadow-Congressional Progressive Caucus
Atomicsoda-Republican Main Street Partnership
DrCelt-Green Party
tyriet-Socialist Alternative
Ampelos-Socialist Party USA
Riccardo93-Objectivist Party
Maxwell-Republican Study Committee
Dadarian-American Freedom Party

Just a friendly reminder.

(I have done my best and based this off of the Democratic Party Platform for 2012 and President Obama's policies, if there is a glaring mistake, please let me know.)

Name:
President Barack Obama

Party: Democratic Party (New Democrats Coalition Caucus)

Ideology: Social Liberalism

-Economic Policies-

Economic System & Public/Private ownership:
Interventionist, mostly privately owned, with the government taking a key role in shaping and overseeing the economy.

Regulations:
Protect workers from unfair treatment, environmental friendly regulations, add some where it is needed reduce where it is extraneous.

Environmentalism:
The environment should be protected. Supports reducing carbon emissions and supporting green energy.

Taxation:
Taxes should be progressive to reduce inequality and to make sure the wealthy "pay their fair share". Strategic tax cuts to aid certain demographics, especially the middle class and small businesses.

Tariffs:
Mixed, leaning Protectionist.

Unionization & Strikes:
Pro-union.

Welfare and Social Services:
Certain social services may need reform, but the solution is not to dissolve them or to undermine them. Welfare and Social Services are a method to increase freedom and reduce inequality.

-Social Policies-

Secularism & Religion:
Nominally secularist but actually atleast pluralist/accommodationist.

Freedom of expression:
Supports.

Freedom of Assembly & Protest:
Supports.

Patriotism and loyalty to country. Anti-xenophobia.

Immigration:
Path to citizenship, and general pro-immigrant reform. Immigrants are important and useful, we shouldn't punish them.

-Other Policies-

Foreign Policy: Mixed. Generally internationalist, end war in Iraq.

War on Terror: More surgical and covert, decrease large-scale operations (wars).

Gun Control: Gun regulation, especially on background checks and limiting types of weaponry and ammunition capacities should be tightened.

Right to Privacy: Mostly supports but sometimes undermined de-jure in favor of national security.

Freedom of the Press: Supports.

Edit: Changed to be from a more internal perspective.

Leader: Sen. Susan Collins-Maine
Party: Republican Main Street Partnership
Ideology: Centrist

Economic System & Public/Private ownership
Free Market Capitalism

Regulations
We believe regulation should limited but must be in place to protect health, safety and consumers from fraud.

Environmentalism
We believe that we can and should pursue production of domestic sources of energy in a way that protects our natural resources. We can protect our natural resources without putting American jobs at risk.

Taxation
We believe that the last thing that we need to do, especially in the face of an economic downturn, is to increase taxes on any American. Lowering the tax burden on American businesses and families will encourage economic growth and create jobs.

Tariffs
We support free trade — opening markets to American companies helps put them at the top of the global supply chain.

Unionization & Strikes
We support the status quo. We oppose the "Card Check" bill.

Welfare and Social Services
We must reform our entitlement programs to ensure sustainability for future generations.

Secularism & Religion
We support freedom of religion and the seperation of Church and State as guaranteed under the 1st Amendment.

Freedom of expression
We believe every American has the right to express themselves freely.

Freedom of Assembly & Protest
We support the right to peaceful assembly and protest.

Nationalism
We recognize that the United States military is the finest fighting force in the world, thanks to the brave men and women who volunteer to defend our freedom. We must defend our borders and maintain a strong and well-equipped military to protect our Nation.

Immigration
We support Immigration Reform

192px-John_Boehner_official_portrait.jpg

Leader: John Boehner, Speaker of the House of Representatives
Party: Republican Party (Republican Study Committee)
Ideology: Market Liberalism
Economic Policies:

Economic System- Free Market
Public & Private Ownership- Private Ownership
Regulations- We believe in regulations to protect Americans from any fraudulent activities.
Environmentalism-
Taxation- We believe that taxes should be lowered, as the average American should not be strained down by such.
Tariffs- We support the freedom of trade and the benefits it brings as a whole.
Unionization & Strikes- We believe that workers should have a choice on whether to join Unions or not, and similarly with whether they want to participate in strikes or not.
Welfare and Social Services- We believe in cutting down welfare and opening it up to private enterprise, whilst maintaining Social Services.

Social Policies:

Secularism & Religion- We believe that every American has a right to his or her own beliefs and that no one should infringe upon that, similarly we believe that State and Religion should be separated.
Freedom of Expression- We support the right of individuals to express themselves.
Freedom of Assembly & Protest- We support the right of individuals to gather, discuss and/or protest against anything.
Nationalism- We believe that every American should be proud of his heritage, country and everything that it stands for.
Immigration- We believe that a tougher border enforcement policy should be initiated.

Other Policies:

N/A

Leader: Kshama Sawant
Party: Socialist Alternative
Ideology: Democratic Socialism

Economic System & Public/Private ownership
Social Market Economy - The Market needs to be maintained, but changes need to be made to ensure that social equality is maintained and thus no Free capitalism as is existing in the usa atm.

Regulations
Regulations must be in place in order to protect the citizens from the power of corporations, fraud and cartels.

Environmentalism
The Environment must be protected, in order to ensure the living standards we had, and the beauties we could enjoy, even at cost of economic growth, for future generations.

Taxation
Taxation is important for the government, and the only way to close the widening gap between rich and the poor. Especially in times of economic crisis, it is important to make the tough decision towards more taxation, to allow the government to give out funds where it is important.

Tariffs
We support free trade — only through free trade can the goods flow throughout the world, and where goods flow, also flow thoughts and ideals.

Unionization & Strikes
We support trade and labor unions as the way for workers to represent themselves in a proper way.

Welfare and Social Services
A major overhaul of welfare and social services is required, especially regarding unemployment subsidies and the medical system

Secularism & Religion
We support freedom of religion and the seperation of Church and State as guaranteed under the 1st Amendment.

Freedom of expression
We believe every American has the right to express themselves freely.

Freedom of Assembly & Protest
We support the right to peaceful assembly and protest.

Nationalism
Nationalism is a concept of the 19th and early 20th Century and does not apply to this new day and age anymore. For too long the US government has wasted funds on foreign interventions and missions, as well as on military expenditures that are neither necessary for the defense of human rights, nor for the defense of the nation.

Immigration
Immigration to the United States, especially from nations where human rights are violated and living conditions are inhuman, should be permitted with relative ease

Objectivist Party
Leader: Dr Thomas Stevens
Ideology: Right-wing Populism

VICTIMLESS CRIMES: We believe the government has no right to criminalize conduct consensually agreed to between adults that cause no direct harm to others. We believe in people taking responsibility for their own lives and oppose paternalistic government. As a result, we seek the immediate decriminalization of marijuana, prostitution, pornography, gambling and other victimless crimes.

MONETARY POLICY & TAXATION: We believe the government has no right to cause inflation and devalue our currency by permitting the Federal Reserve to "print money" or by borrowing money in order to balance the budget. We also oppose the large percentage of people's earnings the government takes through taxation. As a first step toward the goal of drastically reducing taxation on a federal, state and local level, we support the institution of a 10% federal flat tax and the elimination of all income and property taxes.

GAY ISSUES: We believe the government should not discriminate against anyone on the basis of that person's sexual orientation. On a federal level, we support the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act. On a state level, while our ultimate goal is to get the government out of the marriage business, we support full recognition of gay marriages so long as the government continues to issue marriage certificates to heterosexual couples.

IMMIGRATION: We support the right of all countries to control their own borders and to set the conditions immigrants must meet in order to obtain permanent residence and citizenship. We would give state law enforcement officials the power to enforce immigration law and to deport illegal aliens. We would grant immigration preferences to those with special skills; to those who would create jobs; to those who ideologically support free enterprise and respect for individual rights; to those who are committed to the use of science and reason instead of faith and mysticism when evaluating and discovering objective reality; and to those who believe in self-reliance and the pursuit of productive and purposeful lives.

DEFENSE: We believe one of the primary purposes of the federal government is to provide for the national defense. Toward that end, we would support expanding the incentives offered to encourage citizens to join the military and the National Guard. However, we oppose any form of involuntary servitude including the reinstitution of a draft.

CIVIL LIBERTIES: We believe the government must respect the individual and constitutional rights of all citizens including the right to keep and bear arms. We oppose all forms of censorship and invasions of privacy. We believe in the strict separation of church and state and believe "In God We Trust" should be removed from the country's coins and courtrooms.

((Can I switch to the America First Party. I read up on the A3P and their beliefs aren't in line to what I want to play as))

You can change to whatever party you want, but the America First Party was both too insignificant and not different enough from the American Independence Party and Constitution Party to be represented. I would suggest you pick one of those.

Someone still needs to take the Blue Dog Coalition before we start.

Other than that, the following people still need to fill out party platforms:

Jeeshadow-Congressional Progressive Caucus
DrCelt-Green Party
Ampelos-Socialist Party USA
