I haven't played for a while and I just read about ironman from EUIV. This sounds like a very good thing. Can we expect this feature for Crusader kings 2 too or is it already in?

Can't wait to get home and play EUIV tonight!!!

Not exactly. But I guess that it's pretty official since the requirements for the achivements were added to the game code in a recent update.

In EUIV, to unlock achievements require playing in Ironman mode, so it's an educated guess to assume that this will also be the case with CK2, once they make achievements available.

I thought those achievements have been lying around since release?

That is not a "recent update". More like "there but inactive since forever". I wouldn't be surprised if they activate them with the next major DLC release though.
