And a warning. If you have modified any of the EU files, the patch will not over-write your modified files. If this is the case, you should:
1) Backup your modifications.
2) Uninstall EU II.
3) Install EU II.
4) Apply the patch.
5) Figure out what you want to do with your modifications.


All patches are backward compatable (you don't need to start a fresh game), but it is nonetheless recommended to start a new game with each patch.

- Autosave crashes should no longer be disastrous as the previous file is copied to "oldautosave.eug", before being written.
- The infamous 1750 crashbug has been fixed.

- Playername info is no longer stored in multiplayer games, so should no longer be a problem to continue savedgames when playing with different localised versions in the same game.
