This time, since the UK starts as the most powerful country in the world, I will be giving you a choice between multiple challenges, some harder than others. Choose the one that you find the most interesting. You will have 2 weeks to complete this challenge

Option 1: World Conquest

Simple scoring: Owning every province in the world is 100 points, and you get points proportional to the number of provinces you gain (i.e., no free points for starting with the largest empire)

Option 2: Ending Slavery

The only goal here is to free every slave in the entire world. If you achieve this, you get 100 points. Otherwise, you get points equal to the percentage of the 1836 slave population that have been freed

Option 3: The Anti-imperialistic British Empire

Your goal is to have as many independent(i.e., not vassals) nations as possible. You will get 1 point for each extra country there is after you've finished the challenge than there is in 1836

Option 4: Island Nation

Your goal here is to conquer every single island in the world, where an island is any landmass smaller than Australia. Your score will be proportional to the number of island provinces you conquer(that you did not own in 1836), with 100 points for conquering every island.

Option 5: The Historical British Empire
Your goal here is to conquer all the territory that England or Britain ever controlled, plus some other historical conditions.

Canada and Alaska:

Colonize the rest of Canada(1, Historical): +1
Conquer/Colonize Alaska(2, Ahistorical): +2

Looks interesting, I may have a shot at the free nation one, so I don't necessarily need to control them just force them to be released?

I´d also suggest for minor goals conquering the US, having the largest population and the largest industry.

You have to free every slave everywhere, and I think there are slaves on every continent except Europe and maybe Oceania...

But most of the countries with slaves will either abandon slavery or be conquered by the AI without human intervention. The only countries which I seen keep slavery until 1900 is Brazil and Uruguay.

I think He means Countries instead of States. Unless he is talking about USA......

Indeed typical German mistake where countries(ENG) = Staaten(GER)

anyway only these countries "start" with slave pops aka have slavery enabled: The USA, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, France, Colombia, The Netherlands, Denmark, Venezuela, Texas, Uruguay, Paraguay

in another game I was playing (= fooling around) with the newest patch: in 1878 only Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Uruguay and Paraguay remained as slave countries. Afair none of these countries were involved in a larger war (=> for high WE). Anyway it can at best only mildly difficult especially in the context that the player is the UK and the targets only need high WE for revolutions and reforms.

Huh, I thought some Asian and African states had them, but maybe that was changed in HOD or maybe those states have Slavery Allowed but no actual slaves...

I do kinda remember that Dai Nam and/or Siam had slaves in earlier versions of Vic II too and of course some of the African countries? But since slaves are not really that useful maybe it was changed?

So how is everyone doing on this challenge?

I'll probably start tomorrow I just don't know which way to go. Slavery seems a bit too easy and liberation too boring - alone to the effect of splintering the NGF/Germany again and again to get them all back.

This Historical Borders looks a lot with a Conquer-the-world-but-easier.

I have no idea how, but is there some way to keep this challenge interesting and forcing players to attain to the borders? Maybe never having reforms, rolling back reforms, going Absolutist, Sphering the world, not intervening in the continent after you have what you want, dunno...
