How did we forget???

Will also feature an easter egg with Richard leading your troops with the battle cry "FOR PONY!"

And if you don't get that reference, then good sir you are on the wrong side of the internets.

Aren't most of these covered in other Paradox games? We don't need to turn CK2 into a Paradox game that covers 500 BC - 1900 AD, that's ridiculous.

I believe the current release schedule is Ponies, Natural disasters, Zombies and North American map add-on. With a slight chance of a papal expansion, but no one plays catholics so no rush there. :)

How about expanding the map East to cover northern India. The mongols would become more interesting and maybe even build a trade-route system representing the Silk Road and other important routes (the amber route from the Baltics, for example). There would be a need for a thicker fog of war type mechanic, though, so Spanish emirs don't start marrying Indian courtiers.

Other interesting routes would be the viking route to Persia.

Will Richard be a bookmarked character?

That would be too obvious, not a good easter egg then :/ Probably will go with just a random event that pops up "An undead creature volunteers to lead your army... He goes by the name Richard. With him he has an Elf, a Cow walking on his back legs... etc. etc." :p
