Copy the file into this directory or in whatever directory you use for the CWTT expansion:

This little goodie I've been working on for some time now will add flavour to AST, NZL, USA and ENG. More bomber/fighter/cas/air transport names added to the file for a better look, check *most deadly* in my sig.

Be honest with me about improvements, as said before psychiatry/physiology is waaaaaaaaay to big/long. This will be fixed once I'm done belting this out and look at some of the naval doctrine techs also.

Recently i found some notes of a mod i had in mind before i quited DH and wanted to share them with this community to see if somebody is encouraged by them:

Axis Aligned CSA, MEX, COL
Allied: USA, ENG (common), VEN,
Commintern: PHI, and whatever country wins their civil wars
Independent Texas (maybe a puppet state of the CSA?)
Independent California (commonwealth aligned)
Independent Alaska (commonwealth aligned)
A somewhat surviving Mexican Empire (and controlling much of California, except for the northern part which would be allied with the commonwealth and, therefore their independence would be guaranted by the British Empire)
North Eastern Canada (IE, Labrador, Quebec and Newfoundland) would be part of New France and therefore would be under French administration.
The rest of Canada would be like OTL commonwealth as well as New England which would be another commonwealth state.
The rest of North America would be in USA control. Maybe Missouri would be in their hands but strongly claimed by the CSA.
This is very cliché, ok, but Chile was defeated in the War of the Pacific and now Bolivia still keeps her sea access and has strong ties with Peru. They didn't form the Peru-Bolivian confederation though.
Denmark still holds some of her former colonies, like Andaman Islands, Greenland, Iceland and the Virgin Islands and, thanks to their intervention in WW1 against Germany, they control Kiel and Togo in Africa, however they are occupying it under the will of the German majority living there.
The Boers won the Boer war thanks to indirect German aid and South Africa is divided between South Africa State (independent) and pro Germany, Orange Free State, which is also independent, more imperialist, and the Cape Colony, which would compress the rest of South Africa except for Namibia, which was one the colonies that was agreed to be keeped by Germany after the agreements that put an end to WW1.
In Spain, the third Carlist war was a stalemate and now the Carlist have set up their own realm in the Basquelands which managed to survive.
Australia would be on the brink of a civil war, after West Australia threatened to declare independence, and other factions are starting to create chaos on the main cities, like the communists ,the so called "Stockade insurgents" (right wing non democrats) or those loyal to the commonwealth.

In Sweden, the Swedish fascism grows stronger thanks to Germany having expeled and having banned nazis from their land. They're quickly rising to power and aim to create a very powerful united Scandinavia.

As you can see they are very cheap and fast, but their attack values are approx 1/3 of their divisional counterparts

There are more brigades, i know, but, so far, i only made those.

Why there only post 1939 (1936 in the case of the cavalry) models? you might ask? Because the brigademental combat system was something that was developed during the late stages of WW2 and was put into practice in the inmediate post war.
By those years (1946-1955 approx.) the brigademental combat system was vastly developed having it's highest point in the 60s when the US army switched to that system.

I had also planned to make the same dichotomy in the air field, this time it would be air wings (the traditional divisions) vs air squadrons.

As you can see they are very cheap and fast, but their attack values are approx 1/3 of their divisional counterparts

There are more brigades, i know, but, so far, i only made those.

Why there only post 1939 (1936 in the case of the cavalry) models? you might ask? Because the brigademental combat system was something that was developed during the late stages of WW2 and was put into practice in the inmediate post war.
By those years (1946-1955 approx.) the brigademental combat system was vastly developed having it's highest point in the 60s when the US army switched to that system.

I had also planned to make the same dichotomy in the air field, this time it would be air wings (the traditional divisions) vs air squadrons.

And this goes for everybody else: You don't need to ask me for permisson to use assets from this mod. If it's up to me you have it, no need to ask.
 
Great mod! Fantastic details and improvements! But if I may report a bug, or at least i think that's a bug, I have reached the 70's, as Germany, and all of a sudden all the tech teams die out(but not replaced whatever). Is that intended?
 
Hey Kretoxian, btw I remember a talk long ago about preventing older carriers from obtaining jet cags and such. The simplest way is to delete the 'upgrade_cost/time_factor' stats from the cag files. Similarly there is no such stats in the naval unit stats, to prevent them from upgrading.

C:\Games\Darkest Hour\Mods\Darkest Hour Full\db\tech\teams (Go to relative mod) and change end_date to 9999 you'll never need to worry about it again :)
 
Hey Kret, I have worked lots on an expanded unit type list and the brigademental system based on CWTT and what you had post. Spent most of the time determining the different unit types until now, a super cut down version that i am transferring for the Yugoslav Wars mod has reached d_91...

I had figured using unit types would be better to use because of the way the game works, like unit naming (having 1st inf division as name for a brigade), problems with upgrading, etc. What you had made using the unit models looks like the one that would work best, as opposed to be the most efficient and practical :(
