Alright so now every one is aware the president is a mole. Well, the main characters.
Need I call the local construction company for a renovation of the White House yet or might that be a bit early? :p

Love the story so far, especially now that things get connected a bit and start making some more sense. Well written.

The renovation can wait. The enemies of USA are still at large. They need all the funds they can get to rebuild.

Thanks! It took me too late to realize that I overdid it with my scope. I'm trying to tie up the loose ends now so I'm happy to hear the story makes more sense now. Feel free to ask questions about what confuses you. I'm still new with these storywriting so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Chapter 43 (part 7)

[September 13, 2013]

(Brasilia, Brazil)

A large crowd waited at a open field as they watched several soldiers escorting a few arrested men before a tent. General Cardoso sat in a chair underneath the tent with a smug expression while he watched the prisoners brought before him. The prisoners all had execution hoods on their heads and they were roughed up before they arrived at the open field. All of them were forced to kneel before Cardoso with the hoods still on their heads. Cardoso stood up addressing both the crowd and the prisoner.

"I have been selected to lead Brazil to a bright new future! Yet, you six men chose to stand in my way. You have spilled blood of your countrymen. Why?"

There was a short silence. Then, one of the prisoners spoke.

"My general, I am loyal to you. I would never go against you. Please, whatever they told you about me are false. Let me prove my innocence!"

"Shut up, dog!" said the prisoner beside him. "We are dead men whether you like it or not. The great general we serve is no more. Instead, we have a madman in his place. I grieve for our nation."

Cardoso walked up and slapped the prisoner that just insulted him. "I am the future of Brazil. Don't talk as if you understand. You were supposed to put your nation first but your greed overwhelmed you. How much did they pay you?"

The prisoner spit at Cardoso. "I don't need to be paid. I was loyal but, sadly, I picked the wrong side. I am now betrayed by those I served. My only regret is not seeing you die with my own eyes!"

Cardoso slapped the prisoner hard this time. "You will pay for your insolence! Guards!"

Two soldiers rushed over to grab the prisoner. They took him over to one of the pits they dug earlier. Once they threw the prisoner in, they looked to Cardoso for instruction. Cardoso turned to the crowd.

"This will be the end for those that oppose Brazil!" The general turned to the two soldiers. "Do it!"

The soldiers worked quickly as they filled in the pit with the prisoner inside. The prisoner laughed at first before he said his prayers out loud. He prayed to God to save his nation from a madman called Cardoso. He prayed that his people would be spared from disaster. Finally, he, just before he was buried alive, prayed for a cruel end for Cardoso. Cardoso was furious with the prisoner but he couldn't do anything without making a fool of himself. Thus, he waited patiently until the prisoner was silenced for good.

"Who is next?" Cardoso stared at the other prisoners. When none of them answered, he signaled his soldiers to bury them too.

In the distance, the families of the prisoners were grieving for their loved ones. Once the last prisoner was buried alive, Cardoso made his exit with his soldiers behind him. Meanwhile, Bishop Matos watched from a distance praying for the souls of those that passed away.

Chapter 43 (part 8)

[September 13, 2013]

(Washington DC, USA)

Jack made a call on his cell in the bedroom while Sam and Jason watched the video a few times to convince themselves of what they learned earlier. The trio was still trying to accept the fact that the American President was a mole. Neither Sam nor Jason wanted to know about the elimination of this mole as they left the task to Jack. Jack was, at the time, calling a close friend to set up an accident. Jack expressed his concern about the hesitation of his friend to kill the President even if he watched the video. Thus, Jack chose to only reveal some truth in his conversation leaving some of the important parts out. Once the phone call concluded, he joined Sam and Jason in the balcony.

"How did it go?" asked Sam.

"I gave him enough information to carry out the mission," replied Jack.

"What will happen once he realized that he killed the President?" asked Jason.

"I'll just say my sources misled me." Jack stared up at the sky.

"Do you believe in heaven?"

Jack turned to Sam with a shake to his head. "I've given up my religion long ago. Praying to God hasn't done any good. You?"

"When I lost my son, I lost faith in God as well."

The two of them turned to Jason who returned a puzzled look. "I'm a Catholic if you were curious."

"Maybe he was sent by the organization," joked Jack.

"Let's stuff him in the trunk of a car in the middle of nowhere." Sam laughed.

Jason shook his head and returned inside.

"When will your friend be taking action?"

"In an hour."

Sam looked down at his watch. "Noon? Guess it's the last lunch he'll enjoy."

"Wanted him to go with a full stomach." Jack's phone went off with him excusing himself.

Jack headed to the washroom where he answered the call. He returned to the balcony with a large smile.

"I have really good news."

Upon hearing good news, Jason came out to join them. "What news?"

"The Latin American nations won't be bothering us anymore. I've just received word that a coup happened just an hour ago disposing General Cardoso. The new government has talked peace with USA. With Brazil out, the other Latin American nations followed suit because they lost their backbone. We no longer have to deal with our southern neighbors."

"That's excellent news! Now what?" asked Jason.

"We wait."

-two hours later-

This is the CNN news. We are sorry to bring you the latest tragedy that has befallen our nation. We have just learned that a terrorist plot has succeeded in Washington DC where our President has passed away to a car bomb. We are saddened by this event following the many tragedies that have plagued our nation...

[September 13, 2013]

(Brasilia, Brazil)

Felipe knelt down before a tombstone as he laid down the flowers he brought.

"Estela, I have returned. Yes, the monster who claims to be our father is no more. He was executed before the crowds who cheered. I was cheering with them for the death of the monster. It was the happiest day of my life. I feared that he would not go down easily but he proved to be human after all. Though, some may still call him a lesser demon. Whatever the case, he is dead and Brazil can follow the proper path. I'm afraid I won't see the better Brazil. Do you remember when I came to this tombstone five years ago? We couldn't find your body but I know your soul would find its way here. I was merely a teenager then but I grew into a man that day. You were pointing out Cardoso's mistakes and disappeared the next day. The inability to take criticism proved to be his downfall in the end. I spread a few rumors and he killed some of his most loyal officers. The remaining officers, fearing for a similar fate, rose up and arrested him. Now, he rots in the ground. He won't be harming us because he will head to Hell where he belongs. I know you are currently looking down from Heaven and I intent to join you. Sister, I miss you so very much. You were the only one to listen and care for me since the death of our mother. When you died, I felt myself dying too. If it weren't for revenge, I would have joined you a long time ago. Well, better late than never, right?"

Felipe drew the handgun he had on him and brought it to his temple. Once he released the safety, he pulled the trigger. A loud bang would create an echo in the small cemetery but the silence would return moments later.

-several hours later-

A man entered the church where Bishop Matos was praying.

"Did you find him?" asked Matos without turning around.

"He's dead, father."

Matos immediately stood up and turned around. "I thought I told everyone to spare his life," he said with absolute rage. "He saved Brazil from that demon! Is that how you people treat those that contribute for their nation?"

The man was shaking in fear. "I'm sorry, father. We found him at the small cemetery on the outskirts. He committed suicide."

"I see." Matos returned to face the cross. "He is joining the one he loved the most. You are dismissed!"

The man moved quickly out the church while Matos returned to his prayer. This time, he prayed for the souls of Felipe and Estela.

Chapter 44 (part 1)

[September 14, 2013]

(Sydney, Australia)

Yazov sat down at the table with many of his friends. He was told about an emergency meeting that requested their attendance. No one knew what the meeting was about but there has been rumors floating around about attacking a foreign nation. The rumors were, however, merely speculations since no one had evidence. Those at the top of the RSU have leaked nothing and the meeting might shed some light. Yazov stayed silent while his friends chatted away. He was still recovering from the death of his close friend. Premier Yakovich suddenly entered the room which became silent in an instant. Everyone stood up from their seat and saluted the Premier. Yakovich saluted back before gesturing everyone to sit back down. His secretary opened a folder before him while standing quietly beside him.

"I can understand that you are all curious why I called this meeting. Australia has come under our control with little resistance. The Australian people are wise to see that we are the future for them. This nation is stabilized but I fear there is another threat we cannot ignore. As many of you heard, American cities have been nuked. While I, like many of you, hold no sympathies for them Americans, I fear that the culprit has attacked our great nation of Russia as well."

Yakovich paused to look around the room satisfied to see several with anger in their eyes.

"Many of you were born here or brought here at a young age. However, our roots go back to Russia. The current Russian government may take a different approach than us but they still have the interests of Russians on their mind. There are many in the FSB that still have their loyalties to the old regime. They still work to keep Russia strong during these times when Capitalists run around like cockroaches. Many of you may not be aware but a devastating virus has taken a hold of Russia. Those working at the FSB initially assumed it was a rare strain in Siberia that has been thawed out. However, careful investigation has confirmed that the virus was man made. In other words, someone attacked Russia with those viruses. After further investigation, we have narrowed down the culprit to the Japanese government."

"We must destroy Japan!" shouted someone in the back.

Yakovich simply smiled as he tried to calm down the group before him. "We will make them pay for their aggression against our people. That's why we are gathered here. We will be committing ourselves in a large campaign to attack Japan. The nation has grown too powerful and they would only be a threat to our nation. Let me warn you that many will die in this campaign. This could get very bloody very quickly. If you don't wish to sacrifice yourself, I could understand. Many of you are young and have a future ahead of you. For those youngsters that wish to opt out, you may do so now."

Yazov's friends were talking amongst themselves when Yazov stood up.

"Premier, I don't think opting out is an option. Our goal is to create a better world for our descendants. If we don't join and we fail to defeat this menace, then we would have lost our cause. To fight for a brighter future is why we are here today. The capitalists have lost their way as their allow their greed to override all their logic. We are different. Our people were once great and we intend to rebuild the mighty empire that the world once feared. To do so, we must crush Japan that is the scourge of the east."

[September 14, 2013]

(Sydney, Australia)

Following Yazov's short speech, there was only silence. Then, Yakovich began clapping his hands. The others attending the meeting soon followed suit. Yazov suddenly found himself embarrassed by the sudden applause as he stood frozen in place. The applause subsided few minutes later with Yakovich standing up from his seat and walking towards Yazov. Yakovich placed a hand on Yazov's shoulder.

"This is the youth we wish to raise for the RSU. Youths that know what is at stake. Youths that would give up their lives for the greater cause. What's your name, son?"

"Yazov, sir!"

"Where are you from?"

"Apatity, sir!"

"Your parents?"

"Died during the evacuation, sir!" Yazov felt himself close to tears upon mentioning his parents.

Yakovich tightened the grip of his hand. "I can understand your pain. I've lost my two sons during the evacuation. Their departures have left an empty hole in me." Yakovich returned to the front of the room as he addressed the entire crowd. "Grief and sorrow would have overwhelmed me that day. However, I have the rest of you as my children. You are the reason why I continue to move forward. We have a tough task ahead of us. The Japanese are formidable enemies. They have proven themselves in the past and we would be fools to doubt that now." Yakovich paused for a moment. "Still, we never back away from a challenge. We will take them on and show them the might of the RSU!"

Everyone in the room cheered. Yakovich excused himself from the room with his secretary tagging close behind him. The duo entered the hallway where Yakovich took a deep breath.

"That was an excellent job in rallying the men, sir." The secretary said as she went through some of the papers in a folder.

Yakovich simply shook his head. "I wish it was that easy. Fighting the Japanese won't be close to nearly impossible."

"We have a few weapons at our disposal, don't we?"

Yakovich stopped in his track and turned to his secretary. "Those weapons are meant for extreme situations."

"I'd say this is the moment," the secretary said as she handed over a piece of paper. "We just received word that the Japanese will launch an attack on China soon. If their forces are separated, our weapons will be less useful."

Yakovich took a minute to read through the report. He sighed. "Alright, get those weapons loaded onto the guided missile frigate then. We might as well maximize our damage."

"Yes, sir!" The secretary rushed to relay the message to the naval yard.

Chapter 44 (part 3)

[September 14, 2013]

(Sydney, Australia)

Yazov and his friends got dressed for the upcoming battle. The entire Australian naval arsenal would be used against the mighty naval power called Japan. Everyone was nervous about the upcoming battles but no one dared to say it openly partly due to their pride. Premier Yakovich made it clear that this was a key battle for RSU and it could be pivotal to the history of communism. Everybody was expected to finish lunch before noon so they could report to their respective ships by one o'clock. Yazov, while getting dressed, stared at the wooden horse on the table. He forced a small smile upon seeing the old toy that was close to breaking apart. When he was alone and in foreign lands, the wooden horse was his closest companion before he made friends. Unsure whether he could survive the upcoming battle, Yazov chose to leave his horse behind. Before he left his room, he wrote a note stating that, should he die in battle, he hoped the wooden horse could be given to some orphan so it could bring him or her comfort. Once he placed the finished note by the horse, he walked out the room closing the door behind him. His friends were waiting for him at the main entrance. Together, they made their way to the vehicles waiting outside to take them to the Australian fleet that were prepared for war.

-an hour later-

Yazov was the first to get out of the stuffy vehicle and he was amazed by the sight before him. Here were some of the most sophisticated ships in the world. Men were busy loading up supplies and ammunition onto the ships while Yazov, along with his friends, were soon ushered onto their respective ships. Before they parted ways, they said their goodbye wishing each other luck while shedding some tears. No one acted like all of them would survive the war so they opened their hearts for a brief moment. Yazov, because of his speech during the meeting, would be boarding the same guided missile frigate the Premier would be on. It was truly an honor for him to be aboard the same ship as the Premier so he was determined to perform his best. Yazov was brought to the bridge where Yakovich was speaking with his officers about last minute changes to their plans. Once the small meeting disbursed, Yakovich turned and saw Yazov. He smiled as he approached the young man.

"My boy, this is our big day. We will make history today, understood?"

"Yes, sir!" Yazov saluted the Premier.

"We carry with us several powerful weapons," Yakovich paused for a moment. "I use to think twice before using these weapons but, against Japan, we have no choice. I want you to fire them from the controls."

Yazov was lost for words. Yakovich smiled as he placed a hand on Yazov's head. "Remember your parents. They died protecting you. Now, it's your turn. You must do what is needed to save our future generations. We may fall in battle but our ideas and knowledge will be passed on in Australia. There will be people succeeding us who will no doubt continue our ways. We must make that possible."

Yakovich backed off to shout orders to those on the bridge. Yazov, with a warm feeling inside him, nodded before turning to stare out the windows.

Are the Aussies crazy or something... Although perhaps, combined with the commando raids they can just pull something off...
Looks like Brazil might turn coats soon, if their new government proves to be more reasonable than the last. That would relieve some pressure on that part of the world.

But somehow I feel the Reich still has a deck of aces up it's sleeve...

The descendants of the Soviet Unions know what's at stake. Brazil has been pacified by Bishop Mathos. As for the aces, I don't think the Fourth Reich has it. They think they do :p.

Chapter 45 (part 1)

[September 16, 2013]

(Somewhere in the Pacific)

Yazov stood by the window of the bridge. He stared out at the open sea that seemed endless from where he stood. He thought back to the night before his field trip was rudely interrupted by the deaths of many.

Yazov sat at the dinner table. His mother just cleaned the dishes with Yazov waiting patiently for a treat. He always loved the night before his birthday because he was always given a treat. This night was no different but Yazov had to wait until his mother was done her cleaning. Yazov's father was most likely still at work because he wanted to spend the next day with Yazov.

"Did you enjoy the meal, son?" asked his mother.

Yazov looked at his mother with puzzlement. She normally never asked about the meal so it caught him off guard. After a slight hesitation, he nodded his head. Then, he forgot all about the question when he caught sight of ice cream his mother hid behind her back. As Yazov dug into the dessert, his mother left the dining room. Yazov, too busy with his treat, didn't notice the change in his mother's expression.

Yazov thought back to that day. He wondered if he knew something was going to happen if he paid attention to his mother's expression. Ice cream was, at the time, a rare luxury for everyone in his neighborhood.

"Are you alright, Yazov?"

Yazov turned around startled by Yakovich's presence. "I'm sorry, sir. I was deep in thought."

"Care to share?"

"I thought back to the night before my parents' death."

"Must be a terrible experience."

"It was. My birthday was on the next day. I got ice cream for treat. Yet, I was too busy with my treat to notice something odd with my parents."

"Like what?"

"My mother was more concerned. My father was working later than usual assuming he was out working at all."

"You were still young. There was no way you could have suspected anything. Just remember this. What you will do in an hour will make your parents proud. I know it." Without warning, Yakovich embraced Yazov. "You are like the sons I lost. They were innocent back then as well. They didn't deserve to die and I failed them as a father. We all carry burdens." Yakovich backed away. "Stay strong. Remember who and what you are fighting for."

Yazov was able to catch sight of tears in the Premier's eyes before Yakovich turned away quickly. He realized that he, too, was crying. Returning back to the view of the ocean, he prepared the countdown till they reached their destination.

[September 16, 2013]

(Somewhere in the Pacific)

Yazov was in the middle of countdown when he heard a person shouting in the bridge. The Premier and his secretary rushed over to the man. Yazov, curious of what has developed, joined them before a radar display.

"What did you find?" asked Yakovich impatiently. "This better be important since you interrupted my meeting."

"Sorry, Premier." The man apologized quickly. "I've located two large Japanese fleets nearby."

"How big are these fleets?" asked the secretary.

"There's at least a hundred ships in each other them. I do find it odd that they didn't bother keeping such large fleets a secret."

"Why should they keep it a secret?" blurted out Yazov before he could stop himself.

"Where are these fleet?" asked Yakovich who paid no attention to Yazov's outburst.

"One of them is located near the Senkaku Islands," responded the man. "There has been decades of dispute over the ownership of the island. The fact that the Japanese have boldly parked their fleet there means that something is up."

"The other one?" asked the secretary.

"On its way to the islands. If I could hazard a guess, I would assume they will merge."

"They are preparing for an invasion. I'm sure of it." Yakovich and his secretary moved over to the nearby map. "If they were to invade Taiwan, they only needed a fraction of that navy." A pause. "My gut feeling is that they are striking at China. Such a daring move from a dangerous enemy."

"A bold move indeed," said the secretary.

"Change course, men! We won't get a better opportunity than this."

The secretary rushed over to the public address system so she could give all personnel aboard the ship their new destination. Meanwhile, the radioman alerted the other ships of the change in destination seeing the entire fleet changing course for the Senkaku Islands. Yazov, caught in the excitement, reacted last minute to Yakovich's approach.

"Come with me, son."

Yazov followed without question. They made their way below deck to the ammunition storage.

"I know you are curious what our secret weapon is. Don't tell anyone what you see. Understood?"

Yazov nodded. They entered a secret compartment and, upon entering, Yazov recognized from the hazard symbol what weapon he would be unleashing onto the Japanese.

"They say those don't know history are doomed to repeat it," said Yakovich as the two of them returned above deck.

Chapter 45 (part 3)

[September 16, 2013]

(Off the Coast of Miyakojima, Japan)

Yazov stood on the bridge as he listened to the conversation between the Premier and his men. They were nearing Miyakojima and, for the last few minutes, Japanese authorities have been sending demands that the Australian fleet halt in its tracks.

"Sir! The Japanese are ordering us to withdraw or face the consequences. This is their last warning."

"Are we in range of Senkaku Island?" asked Yakovich.

A brief pause ensued.

"Yes, sir! We are within range to fire our guided missile."

"Tell the fleet to stop," ordered Yakovich. He looked to Yazov. "I think it might be time."

"Are there any known anti-missile systems in Miyakojima?" asked the secretary.

Yakovich stared at his secretary with a smile. The man before the computer screen looked to him for permission and he nodded. The man pulled up archives of information they had on the Japanese. He scanned through the relevant section.

"None that we are aware of."

"Fire!" The Premier said without hesitation.

Yazov heard the command but he wasn't sure if the Premier actually said it. He turned to face Yakovich finding the Premier looking straight at him and, a brief hesitation later, he pressed the switch. Yazov looked up to see a missile launched from the frigate heading towards the Senkaku Island. He was curious about the destruction of the warhead but he never got a chance to see what happened afterwards.

"Change course now!" ordered Yakovich. "We will swing around Okinawa and head straight for Kagoshima."

"Yes, sir!" replied the man who relayed the information to the entire Australian fleet.

"Where is that other Japanese fleet?" asked the secretary as the frigate began turning.

"They are still en route to Senkaku. However, they have stopped moments after our missile was fired. I fear only a few of their ships will be caught in the blast radius."

"It's a darn shame." Yakovich walked over to the radio display. "I have a feeling that they might hunt us down. Order the other ships to intercept. We must fire our remaining three missiles before we can let them sink us."

"Yes, sir!"

Chapter 45 (part 4)

[September 16, 2013]

(Off the Coast of Miyakojima, Japan)

The lone guided-missile frigate moved at its maximum speed towards Japan proper. The Premier learned earlier that the halted Japanese fleet has indeed turned to hunt them down. His brave men couldn't hold the more superior Japanese for long so he had only a limited time window to act. The frigate has moved past Okinawa making its way towards Kagoshima. No one aboard the ship saw the detonation of their nuclear warhead but the sound of the explosion reached them a few minutes after the missile was launched. The Premier hoped that one nuclear warhead was enough to deal with the Japanese fleet. He kept his thoughts to himself as he stared ahead of him at where Japan was at. They were almost within range of the next target.

"Premier," said Yazov, "We are going to hurt innocent civilians with our remaining missiles, right?"

Yakovich turned around with a sad expression. "It's unavoidable. Our enemy hide amongst the innocent hoping they could avoid the worse."

"Are there no other ways?"

Yakovich shook his head. "I wish there is. The Japanese have effectively taken out the Americans and Russians. We are the last hope of this world."

"How about the Chinese?"

"They fight amongst them all the time, son. They might appear as a superpower but they are fractured. In the face of a true challenge, they will collapse. One thing I learned in life is never trust a Chinese government."

"How did we get our hands on those nuclear warheads in the first place?" asked Yazov to change the topic.

Yakovich smiled. "When we evacuated from the Soviet Union, we were given the blueprints to make them. As we planned to take over Australia, we built a few hoping to deter the Americans. It would seem like they will serve a different purpose. I didn't plan to bring these warheads with us. In hindsight, I'm glad we brought them. The Japanese haven't been playing nice and neither should we. It's a cruel world out here and we must use whatever we have to win. The price for a better world is never cheap. Many lives will be sacrificed before that is possible. The Japanese, sadly, haven't learned from the last world war. They continue to act arrogant and their relations with other Asian nations remained terrible. Japan is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. They still cling onto the ideals of the Third Reich and gave birth to the Fourth Reich. I hope that we will put an end to that."

"Sir! We are within range of our next target."

"Fire!"

Yazov pressed the switch a second time.

Oh boy, that escalated quickly. with 4 missiles hitting them, either the Japanese will now break and give up, or they really pissed them off...

Only 2 missiles hit them so far. The warheads won't deal the decisive blow though...

Chapter 45 (part 5)

[September 16, 2013]

(Somewhere South of Japan)

The sailors above the frigate did their best fending off the incoming Japanese fighter-bombers. The battle was fierce while the frigate approached its next and final target. With two missiles left, Yakovich wanted to send both of them at the Japanese capital, Tokyo. He wasn't sure how devastating it would be for the Japanese to lose their capital but, under heavy fire of the Japanese air force, he had no choice. Under severe pressure, the frigate was staying somewhat intact with Yakovich and everyone on the bridge very nervous. They could hear their anti-air weapons firing along with the explosions on all parts of the frigate. Yakovich wisely didn't share his concern that one of the bombs might detonate the nuclear warhead and blow them all up. He could only hope that they could fire their two remaining warheads before they were sunk. It was silent inside the bridge as everyone waited patiently for the radarman to say something. The time seemed to stretch out forever while everyone watched the radarman.

"Sir! We are within range!" The radarman said after the dragged out silence.

"Fire!" shouted Yakovich without hesitation.

Yazov pressed the third switch. He then pressed the fourth switch. Everyone stared out the window but they only caught sight of one warhead flying towards Japan. Yakovich grabbed the phone to call below deck where many of his men were busy putting out fires.

"What is going on?" asked Yakovich. "One of our missiles didn't fire."

"I'm sorry, Premier." The man on the other side was trying to catch his breath. "One bomb damaged the roof so we can't open it until we clear the debris. We should get th-"

A bomb detonated the last nuclear warhead inside the frigate creating a massive explosion. All personnel aboard the ship, along with the ship, was vaporized in milliseconds. The Japanese fighter-bomber pilots reacted too late as they were caught within the blast radius experiencing the same fate as those of the RSU. The the blast radius was thirty kilometers hitting dangerously close to the Japanese coast in the north. Many people living along the coast of Japan facing the south just happened to caught sight of the bright explosion and, moments later, the shockwave hit them creating large gusts. The large gusts created chaos along the coast but these were only the start of the disaster.

The nuclear warhead in the air continued its approach towards Tokyo as it managed to fly out of the blast radius in time to remain intact. The computer on the missile had the sole objective of reaching the Japanese capital, Tokyo. Soon after its launch, the warhead was being tracked by Japanese military which was ready to send their ground-to-air missiles to intercept it. The nuclear explosion in the ocean, however, played a role in ensuring the missile reached it target. The explosion created a large fireball that affected low frequency radio waves. As a result, a radar blackout occurred along the Japanese coast which effectively prevented the Japanese from shooting the nuclear warhead out of the air. The radar blackout lasted only a short while but the delay was enough for warhead to arrive in Tokyo a few minutes later leveling much of the city. While the Japanese were trying to make sense of nuclear explosion, another disaster soon befell the Japanese nation.

This is the end of this AAR. I want to thank everyone that followed along. I had a blast writing this so I hope you had a blast reading it. This has been my first real attempt at story writing and it feels good I reached the end. I've learned a lot and hope to keep improving. There will be a conclusion/epilogue in the Minor Campaigns AAR that will conclude the entire story. Once again, I thank you all for following along in the rather crazy ride.

And thus Japan was out of the war, congratz on finishing the story!
