A question about KA1 and KA2

So i have both King Arthur 1 and King Arthur 2 on steam. I have played the first one but i never finished a campaign, so my question is; Should i first finish King Arthur 1 before going to 2? Is there a story to follow? Is 2 a remake of the first one or does it continue where the first one left?

I would recommend finishing the first game, as the second game is a direct story continuation. That being said, it's not at all "necessary" to finish the first game first; none of your decisions or morals will effect KA2.
