Okay, this is something I've been wondering about for a long time when it comes to Pdox games.

Truces..

Why are these automatically added after a war, instead of being decided during the "peace treaty"?

If you look at history, truces looked different in every war. Some truces were shot and some were long. And it would be a great feature to have in a game such as this one!

So, am I the only one thinking this?

(Details of how it would work, could be discussed).

I think truces are necessary especially for MP games. The truces gives you an opportunitie to rebuild and negociate for help after your defeat. I dont think it would be a good idea that the dominant power dont sign any truce because he dont care and can declare war on you again and again until he destroys you and you dont have any chance to respond.

Discussing the Truce Term during the peace treaty would be good, always with a minimun truce time.

Definitely worth considering.

Conflict duration should be one consideration for length of truce.
As should be the ferocity of the fighting that took place; i.e. no. of battles vs no. of casualties.

They would be my top two factors to measure the minimum truce length.

Yea, ofcourse. A minimum should always be there.
