Kingdom of the Cumans (k_cuman)
There has been a thread, a few times ago, about the distinction between Cumans and Kiptchaks. Well, I can't decide what's the best, but there are all the names I could find.
EDIT 2013-04-08: this has been discussed, so I feel I have to give an answer: I prefered to choose the people's name instead of the geographical name for the Steppe for two reasons:
- I believe the steppe names will be quite harsh to find on Internet, and would'nt be as much interesting in this piont of view, when compared to the nomadic people occupying the region in these times;
- I hope
The Old Gods will permit to have real nomadic peoples. So, this has been made with the hope that this kingdom will be really associated to the people, and no more to the territories. Just a hope, true. And I don't know--but may have missed something--what this region will be called, if there will be a kingdom/empire (Tataria?) and so on.
One question must still be posed: what would be the more appropriate language for the Cumans and their cultural names? When looking for their languages, it seems that Kazakh's language would be the more appropriate, but I'm not sure at all this language if represented enough for being implemented here. Any other solution?
