No Pain, No Gain - 1933 Czechoslovak AAR

The time has come for operation Future, President gives a green light on February 20th for attack to start. Czech, Belgian and French troops attack Germany.



This is operation's plan. It has us take as much territory westward as possible because all the factories are there, that is industrial heartland of Germany. Without industry they can't fight. In the meantime, East Germany is supposed to be slowly and surely taken. Entire war is expected to end within 5 months.



The first battle of the war is the one for Dresden. 3 Czechoslovakian divisions attack one more modern German. Battle is going into our favor.



The chance is used to mobilize as much man as possible in order to end the war early. General mobilization is declared, all men between 20-45 are called up into army.



Victory in Dresden, victory in Cottbus. War is going good, Germans are giving what resistance they can but not for long. Their country is slowly falling into our hands. Hitler is powerless, his regime didn't even establish a full control over country and is already crumbling.



President decides to claim whole Germany as part of our nation including Ruhr that was decided to be given to French. How will our allies react to this action remains to be seen.



By march situation is as follows. We have reached our French allies capturing part of Ruhr. They don't seem to be upset but are eager to fight, just as our soldiers. Entire Bavaria and the South are taken, and time has come for us to move north. Battle of Breslau still rages, but is going in our favor.



Czechoslovak trench facing German surrounded city of Breslau is a place from where our brave soldiers fire onto enemy. German morale is low, they don't see a reason in fighting for Hitler.



Late march, North sea is reached with entire West Germany being in our hands. Resistance of some kind is formed in Leipzig-Cottbus line and we are unable to advance. Siege of Bleslau ends in German victory, for now. With French help we will advance from the West now.



By late April, outskirts of Berlin are reached. Germans fight a losing war and they know it. When we take Berlin, we will take Germany. President expects victory by June. Soldiers are sure they can do that and be home for summer vacations.​

With all new industrial capacity, new units are ordered to start training. But war can and will be over long before they arrive.



Many troops from Ruhr and Bavaria are being redeployed to Saxon front in order to prepare an attack on Berlin itself.



Frankfurt on Oder is captured and all connections with the East are cut for Germans.



Neuruppin is the place of heavy fighting in summer as Czech army is trying to encircle Berlin by taking this area. Germans notice this as well and are eager to defend the city to the last. Masin reports to the president that victory in Germany is 40 days away.



VICTORY! On June 6th 1934 Berlin is completely surrounded by Czechoslovak troops who now wait couple days before the final attack is launched. Elsewhere, Breslau is still place of building-by-building fighting while Kiel is the last stronghold of Germans in the north.



Attack has started. Berlin is being heavily defended but our troops are ready to end the war. We have numerical advantage and more troops are soon to arrive to take part in the battle.



By mid July, only a couple of blocks are not in our hands. Victory is expected within hours.



On 17th July first troops enter Berlin which is now fully in our hands. German government has fled to East Prussia which is a enclave and unreachable for our troops, for now.



Interesting news come from Moscow. Seems like Stalin has noticed our gains in war and has decided to join himself. Considering Germany and Soviet Union don't border we don't expect anything from Soviets.



Romanian government smelled opportunity for expansion eastward and joins into war on side of Germany. They didn't count of Czechs to fight them, as we have a border and Masin orders all troops to redeploy there as soon as whole Germany is secure.



On August 25th entire Germany is in our hands. But we can't end the war yet as East Prussia is still in Nazi hands. For now it is time to focus on Romanians.



In quick attack, undefended Chust has fell to Romanian hands. But now is time for counterattack. While most of Romanians fight in Moldavia with Soviets we will use the situation to take as much territory as possible. Masin wants to secure Ploesti oil fields before Soviets. However no one is happy to know that after the war a border is going to be shared with Soviets.​

First battle of the war with Romania, the one for Oradea goes into our favor. If day is known by morning, ours will be great.



With occupation of Oradea Czechoslovak invasion of Romania begins. Masin, the commander of all Czech troops hopes to defeat Romania before Soviets do.



A race begins with Soviets to occupy as much Romania as possible. Our goal is to reach Black sea port Costantza and to take it and everything westward. For Moldavia and Bukovina we probably are to far to reach it first as it it right on Soviet border.



Interesting thing happened next. For no apparent reason Germany has declared war on Denmark allowing them to join Allies. Germany is almost completely occupied anyway and this move remains unexplained.



After a month of fighting, situation in Romania is as follows; north is ours and we continue to move toward Bucharest. Soviets still don't seem to be moving, or entire Romanian army is fighting them. Masin says that this is a good thing as Romanians have a big army, a lot bigger then Germans did.



In the meantime, fascist resistance fighters in Hanover revolt and take control of the city. Our troops are nowhere near so we will have to trust the French to take care of this revolt.



Western part of Romania is encircled with 5 divisions stuck and starving. In next couple of weeks this pocket will fall into our hands, and Romanian soldiers in captivity.

After almost a year of fighting, Europe is saved, Germany is defeated. Hitler committed suicide and government surrendered. Entire Germany is annexed and will remain under our occupation from now on.



Mussolini of Italy is happy with our victory over Germany and decides to guarantee our independence so no other power would attack us. But our alliance is there to take care of that.



Only a third of Romania is still free. Soviets have finally started advancing so we have to move at double time. None of three goals is yet taken (Constantza, Bucharest and Ploesti).



Ploesti oil fields are finally taken and now our army defends against a massive Romanian counterattack.



Battle is won and now the attack on Bucharest can start. Constantza gets taken by Soviets, so all our efforts go on taking Bucharest so we could annex Romania and take Dobrich for us.



After a deadly battle that cost us over 15.000 soldiers, Bucharest is taken and Romanian government collapses.



In the end Romania is annexed, war was over soon and more costly than Generalstab thought. In the future, plans will be more detailed. Occupation of Romania starts.



Looking at map of Europe, President is asked whats next. He answers that Germany and Romania will continue to be under our administration. Masin is sure he can make Czechoslovakia the strongest nation in the world. With new recruits arriving daily, first Czech navy being built and strong alliance to the east plans for the future are made. Masin states that all territory between France and Russia will be ours, and after that puppet governments can be made. We want to control all this area by ourselves. Then they look on the east and state that Soviet Union is the biggest threat to the European freedom. After Central Europe is united under our flag, Soviets have to fall.​

Next target in making a glorious Central European empire is Hungary, our southern neighbor that has Slovakia as it core province. They have long requested it from us, but now if they manage to defeat us we will give it to them gladly. Only problem with Hungary might be Austrian and Italian guarantee of their independence. We will risk it and go forward with war.



Most of troops is deployed on Hungarian border with some next to Austria as well. This is just for defense matters as after Hungary, Austria is next target.



War started with all of our allies joining the war. French involvement in war is probably what prevented Italians from joining. Austria stays neutral as well.



Masin has brought our army to perfection. Troops are fighting like heroes.



War goal is simple- take Budapest.



Wherever we fight, we win the battle by ease. Budapest will be ours.



Masin is happy. Only 1000 Czech soldiers died in battle of Budapest which is won and will be occupied in upcoming hours.



With fall of Budapest comes the fall of Hungary which is annexed into our empire.



We have to move fast, attack on Austria starts immediately. Poorly defended Austria doesn't stand a chance.



War lasted 10 days and they surrendered. Next target- Bulgaria.



In order to secure Balkan area and to expand our border almost to Mediterranean Bulgaria has to be conquered.



Sofia is conquered and with it we can annex Bulgaria into our empire.



Border is moved to Greece and Turkey which won't be attacked just yet. There is some more busyness up north. Meanwhile, Denmark leaves our alliance for no reason. They might later regret it.



One last target remains next to Czechoslovakia itself- Poland. Masin orders attack to take place in order to move our border to the north.



Soon after attack, Polish puppet of Danzig is annexed into our nation.



The biggest battle Czech troops have ever fought starts. Battle of Warsaw is a very hard one that takes many lives but at least is going in our favor. Our army is clearing block by block.



Masin and president celebrate. Central Europe is united under our rule. Poland submits.



In march 1936, map of Europe looks like this. Border with Soviet Union is huge now. For our army there are more tasks. Baltic region, Balkans and Italy have to be secured before we can even think of liberating East Europe from Soviet oppression.​
