As much as it pains me Councillor, I pronounce you to be expelled from the Old Conservative League of the Danube. The League stands for honour and chivalry alongside the rights of all peoples and your recent proposal -alongside a myriad of other acts- proves that you do not live up to these principles. I originally founded the League during the height of the Silesian Crisis in horror at not only the rising Federalism and Socialism within these halls, but also in horror at the Silesian Integrity Bill and how it trampled on the rights of Silesians; and I had hoped that Silesia would rally under the Old Conservative banner. However, your behavior is so disquieting, and such an antitheses to what this party stands for, that I have no choice.

You explained nothing to me about the old conservative league besides its willingness to help Silesia. ((its not even on the front page )) I was expected of nothing when I joined, and you released nothing about on what we stand for besides states rights. I am sorry for my rather extravagant idea and I relinquish it besides this I have done nothing else but to help Silesia, and that is something you stood for so do not contradict yourself. I request re-admittance to the party on the grounds that I promise to... restrain myself... and that you are more clear on what you wish of a party member. Agreed? I already relinquished my idea on the account that I was wrong by the way.

I support the The Veteran Care Act, not for myself, but for my men and their families. I see too many men injured and worry about their future. It brings me comfort to know my family will be aided by the government should I die. The requirements seem satisfactory, no complaints there.

I do have one question. What exactly will the Office of Veteran's Affairs do? Will it serve as a enforcer of the requirements, or will it also organize additional events or benefits for veterans?

It will enforce the requirements and organize the benefits for the veterans. Also to clarify the one to lead the Office will be appointed by the Minister of War.

I oppose the Unicameral Act for the aforementioned reasons. In addition, due to the recent talk for greater equality in the Upper House, I would like to propose the following bill:

Greater Representation Act

I. All states, except Austria and Hungary, shall have four seats in the Federal Council.

II. Austria and Hungary shall continue to have six seats in the Federal Council.

III. The Electoral Votes for the states affected by Clause I shall be accordingly increased by two.

~ Rodrigo Vertucci, Councillor for Lombardia

I whole-heartily support this act, it's a fundamental step for the prosperity of this federation.

I support the Veteran Care Act, though I would like to see the age of eligibility pushed back to 55.

((Life expectancy takes into account premature deaths, remember.))

Venezia opposes the Greater Representation Act as unnecessary and superfluous.

As this is a Step in the right direction, I will voice my Support for the Greater Representation Act.

So you do not wish to see Venezia gain greater representation in the Federal Council, Councillor Tiepolo? I should not be surprised, seeing as you wish to be the sole voice of Venezia despite the fact that you are not.

((How strong, Muskeato? There is no way that Austria and Hungary will accept losing their additional seats in the UH for many years to come. This is definitely the best you're going to get for awhile))

Dalla scrivania del Serenissimo Principe, la sua serenità Silvestro Barbarigo, Doge di Venezia

Signori,

After long and careful consideration, and as this perfidious illness continues to sap my strength, I have decided to reward those who have served Venezia both prior to and during my reign; and to make clear the stance of Venezia concerning key issues. Therefore after having duly consulted the Consiglio, I wish to enact and make known the following:

I. Vittorio Kraus, NH, COE, CSN, etc. is hereby appointed to the offices of Consigliere Ducale and Procuratore di San Marco.* Although I am aware that some of my subjects may find such appointments outrageous; and I have already dealt numerous times with those displeased by any further honour granted to him; I feel it merited. Vittorio has time and time again shown his great love for Venice and her people, and I have always admired his advocacy on her behalf. Such honours are long overdue. I also grant him a dispensation from remaining in Venezia, understanding that his duties are by and large ceremonial.

II. The Venetian government formally appoints Federico Riccio as Podesta of Stavros, in Candia as has been requested and advised by His Excellency the Duke of Candia. It is my fondest hope that he continues to serve the Venetian and Candian peoples well.

III. Janos Papp is hereby appointed as a Member of the Order of the Evangelist; post-nominals ME. This is in recognition of his tireless devotion to the Venetian community within Spalato and Croatia at large, and especially for his assistance in negotiating the Mutual Agreement.

The Most Serene State also wishes to express her desire to see Bosnia integrated, upon her liberation, into the Federal Republic of Croatia. This Federation has already suffered enough from the refusal to integrate new territories, and Venezia believes it is time for such a farce to come to an end. Bosnia has a quite substantial Croatian population; and believes the only way for that state to not be plunged into ethnic turmoil is to entrust her to the able hands of the Croatian government.

[X]

His Serenity, the Doge

((*The office of Procurator of San Marco [Italian: Procuratore di San Marco] was the second most prestigious life appointment in the Republic of Venice [the position of Doge of Venice being the most prestigious].))

((What are our wargoals at present theAhawk ? Seize Bosnia and free Moldavia and Wallachia ?))

((Free Moldavia, Wallachia, seize Bosnia, Albania and liberate part of Greece [I forget it's name...]))

Unfortunately it seems that the merchant families that control the Maggior Consiglio have almost no interest in the future of the Federation, they seem more interested in the rebuilding of their former empire at the expense of the entire Federation and Venice's very people, that are starving in the hinterland.
