Since the 1492-1792 forum has a thread started about good websites for that period, I thought I'd start a thread here for history websites that are concerned with any period before 1492. So please post them!

http://www.byzantium1200.com/ is an interesting historically-related site. It has computer reconstructions of many famous buildings of medieval Constantinople before its sack by the Crusaders in 1204.

Roman history anyone?

Old signature did not meet forum rules. So after 6 years of using it I was forced to change it to this one
anyone have a detailed map on 1400-1430 something?
especially over the HRE-provinces..
Sometime in the sixties a German Historical Atlas was published in Sweden with a Swedish index. It may provide detailed info for what you want, especially since it was German in origin.Originally posted by djurensmorsa

Do you have a specific question.

Johan

What exactly do you mean by "antiquity". It would help if you specified what period you wanted sites for.
