    Wheat in the Americas?

    Just wondering if it's a huge coincidence, but I have eight colonies in the Americas (five in Brazil, one in Guiana, and two in the Caribbean) and they all produce Wheat. My rival, Spain, has four colonies in the Americas, and it's the same case.

    Is this just a coincidence, or is there some kind of bug at the minute? I was hoping to have at least one sugar colony by now...

    They will change eventually. It just takes some time, as it did historically.

    From 1550 the event can fire, fairly high MTTH for each different good but once it happens it enables a second event with a much lower MTTH.

    I thought this at first. I've started in 1570. My 4 carribean islands have finally flipped to coffee and sugar. Some of my provinces in NA have gone Ore, but most remain as Wheat! Figured they'll flip eventually heheh. Is there anything that speeds up the MTTH?

    Not having your capital in Europe, having a full city or city over 1500 population and already having the good in another province speeds up the MTTH.

    For some reason, tobacco and cotton an only show up in the Great Plains region, and not the American South. This doesn't make any sense, so you should edit the events in 0905001 - Resources_in_the_colonies.txt, without feeling like you're cheating.

    I'm not sure exactly which regions are the equivalent of Virginia, Florida and Kentucky and such, so you'll just have to go to the region mapmode in-game and figure it out there.

    So, instead of just
    Code:
    region = great_plains
    in the trigger section, you should change this to
    Code:
    		OR = {
    			region = great_plains
    			region = creek_nation
    			region = <any other region>
    		}
    And of course change for the cotton events too.

    This way, you'll get a much more historically accurate America.

    Wait what? You got tobacco and cotton outside the Great Plains region without editing the events?

    Also, does "No new tradegoods" mean that there's only wheat, fish, etc.?

    Was this a bug, or did they implement this on purpose? If so, I don't see why on earth they'd do that. It makes colonizing the America's even less economical than it already is.

    I highly doubt it was intentional. I can't see how it could be, it makes no sense.

    The great plains shouldn't even produce much cotton and tobacco. More like fur, livestock, lumber, apiculture (bees)... Perhaps also beer (grain, potatoes, etc.), wine... A lot really, but I don't really think cotton and tobacco would grow in that climate.

    My Jerusalem game was done in Meiou 5.2

    Unless something has changed between then and 5.3, I stick to what I've said.
