I added rebels.inc into "mods/worldinflames/scenerios/1933" my game still crashes to desktop at the load screen after I press start.

Edit this comes up from savedebug.

So next version (and last before a long time as my vacations are ending) will be called 'Tora! Tora! Tora!'

Among other additions:

  • New ships conversion system (see screen-shot below)
  • Re-introduced special units system (can be built only by decision)
  • New AI for USSR (implements defense-in-depth strategy against Germany)
  • Increased ORG damage taken by land units against air units (+20%)
  • New set of events/decisions for Japan (including reworked 2-26 Incident)
  • New set of events/decisions for Poland
  • New set of events/decisions for France
  • New set of events/decisions for Italy (including Building the Via Balbia)
  • New set of events/decisions for USSR (including 5-year plans and 1941 purges)
  • New set of events/decisions for Great Britain (including Liddell-Hart's 'Study in Strategy')
  • Build synthetic fuel plants and chemical plants as Germany
  • New set of Resistance events for Germany
  • Bomb Sevastopol Forts as Germany (outcome is random)
  • Many new flavor events (including Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross event adding skill to some German generals if you can win the bet on Polish campaign)
  • New HQ system: HQ now has fighting abilities (helps the AI)
  • Head of Government and Head of State can be changed again by players
  • Introduced a 'Japanese AI on Steroids' option for American players (similar to WIF1, hence the name of the version ;) )
  • Few cosmetic changes (including new map colors, new NATO counters and new units icons by Agistournas)
  • New introduction music
  • And perhaps some other nice additions based on the Strategic Effects concept

So the post above was just a hint that I am reintroducing special units in WIF. Kudos to Agistournas who made wonderful models icons which made me want these units back. :)

Hi Fernando!

I noticed a mistake in the file structure or is it intended? You should delete the division_types.txt from WIF2/db as there is already one in the units folder and you should also move the modifiers.csv in the units folder. Correct me if I'm wrong or if it's intended.

FT, two points to mention:
1. Could you plz upload the newest version of the mod as soon as possible. I finished my first game with Germany (victory against the SU in Dec. '44) playing on "easy" and I want to start another game as soon as possible.. (hopefully tonight ;) )
2. In my point of view CAS are nearly useless playing Germany. They cause nearly no damage and can only be used during "Fall weiß" and "Fall gelb" with "ground support". I tried to use them in Norway or Russia to destroy surrounded or fleeing units or against partisans but they caused nearly no effect..

Concerning CAS I think that it does make sense to increase strength damage. Otherwise, cause they are nearly as expensive as tact. bombers, nobody is going to use em? Or am I wrong?
