Because my MDS 2 AAR is now aborted because of game crashes, I'll start a Mod34 AAR playing as USSR, and trying to hold and then defeat the Germans and control Europe and Asia. The Cold War will be different this time, or it wont exist at all, the World shall be red!
1933, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics is 11 years old and is becoming more powerful with every year under the great leader Mikhail Kalinin. Massive industrialisation and colictivisation of the agriculture created more jobs for the people and stopped the 1932 famine. The Communist Party of the Soviet Union is the only political party in USSR and it's leadership controls the soviets.

In 1934, several agreements were signed between the soviet and british governments. The agreements had the role of diminuating the rapid growth of Germany.
The German government didn't received this agreements to well saying that by slowing down thier economy, the german population is empoverished.
In May 1935, a Franco-Soviet mutual defense agreement was sign in order to put a stop the german teritorial claims in Europe and to discourage them to start a war. This treaty was unpopular with some of the soviet politicians and military leaders.
Soon after a similar agreement was signed with the Czechoslovak government but with an airspace usage treaty included. This infuriated the German government.
Also in May, the Soviet government decided to guarantee the independence of Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Persia and Switzerland, in order to increase the diplomatic relations with the neighbouring countries.
At the end of May 1935, the first metro in the Soviet Union is finished in Moscow. A wonder of Soviet technology and workforce.
In July 1935, an economical partnership was signed between the Soviet Union and United States. This agreement was very useful to the Soviet Union.
Third International Conference
In August 1935, the results of the 5-Year Plan is published. The industrial capacity of Soviet Union raised with 8 new industrial areas built. Also a large increase in energy and metal production were observed, new ore mines and electrical were built and many more anre under construction.
In 1936, the Soviet Navy sends naval engineers and research teams to other friendly countries, to study, research and design new warships and naval technology for the futur of the Soviet Navy.
More industrial projects are finnished, with two more industrial areas in Barnaul. The Soviet Union Industrialisation program draws hundreds of thousands of men and women from the rural areas to the cities in order to fuel the factories with workforce.
The 1936 results of the 5-Year Plan are published, another 8 industrial areas were opened. Energy and metal production increased again giving a large boost to the soviet economy.
The Great Officer Purge of 1936 is not enforced, this leads to dissent within the Communist Party. Several important party members protest and are threatining with resignation.
The Soviet government decided to secretly intervene in the Spanish Civil War by sending covert military aid to Republican Spain. This action will lead to more future cooperations between the two governments.
