I thought I would try a late game AAR as the UK. I played Germany, won WWII, released the UK as a puppet and then later as a free nation. Cheats have been used to set the stage (+300 manpower, slider moves) to make the UK an independent and free country.
Parliament was in ruins. The Nazi puppet government had been blown up and a new government was being sworn in. A large list of puppet governet formed the Axis powers. Germany, and Japan formed the backbone but in the war Itlay had aquitted itself well along with Hungary. German puppets in the Americas fed the Reich all the resources it needed and the puppet Governments of India and the Confederate States of America formed two of the larger Axis puppet nations.
Internationally things were looking bleak. The Axis powers under Herr Hitler had defeated the Allies and Comintern in the conflict that history would call the Second World War. The USSR collapsed in a matter of months in 1941 and the Nazi regime built a large fleet of modern battle cruisers which went on to dominate the seas. THe USA was invaded in 1943 and fierce fighting continued through to 1944. The late war from 1945-47 mopped up the last outposts of the USA, UK and the last holdouts included Australia, Oman, The Netherlands, New Zealand and Yemen. In Europe the Third Reich streched to the Urals.
The Americas were fractured and broken. The Nazi's carved out puppet nations such as California, The CSA, Colombia Venezuela, and Guyana.
In the fast east Japan had won its war vs China, and Nazi Germany controlled the former Dutch colonial possessions. Australia and New Zealand had fascist puppet governments.
Alone and outnumbered the armed forces of the UK swore oaths of loyalty to the ideals of democracy and freedom. A mere 13 divsions stand ready, while the fleet consists of some old destroyers a hadful of modern light cruisers and a large number of transports. The British Empire has been reduced to the UK mainland and Bermuda and Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. In Europe alone the Axis powers can field over 400 divisions. THe Empire however is somewhat advanced however inherting German blueprints and doctrines. Germany briefly experimented with carrier doctrines before returning to its tradional battle cruiser and submarines based doctrines. The UK navy however is untrained in modern combat while the army can match the Germans army for doctrines. A few days later the UK government placed its 1st orders with the goal of rearming the country.
