95% correct.
Other 5%, from what I know, people don't die, they emigrate if they can't afford to survive.
But they can turn into rebels, and revolt pretty badly, then they can die (if your army kill them all).
People will starve if they don't get enough life needs.
For every subtle and complicated question, there is a simple and straightforward answer, which is wrong.
