You should have been hunted on night 1, but the GM chose to interpret this

"If no one else comes up with something, the default hunt is Gigau."

as overriding the hunt order on you. Since I don't know exactly how split phrased that order on you, the GM may have been correct to do so, but I reckoned you should have been hunted on night 1 and consequently as far as I was concerned you were first in line unless someone else came up with an alternative.

Not as far as I know. Presumably the GM was giving the benefit of any doubt in the wolf orders to the JL (and since the fail wolfs were more worried about not being lynched by their own side than putting clear orders in, there was plenty of possible ambiguity). From where I was sitting, you should have been hunted night 1 and Falc night 2 rather than gigau and tamius, but I didn't get to see half what the other wolfs told the GM.

From where I was sitting, you should have been hunted night 1 and Falc night 2 rather than gigau and tamius, but I didn't get to see half what the other wolfs told the GM.

Just to make things clear here for how I receive orders: Orders received overwrite any previous order which are then discarded. The 2 exceptions I run with are:

Standing Orders which reverts to default if none other is received
Conditional Orders which comes into effect from a specific set of events/actions.

If I receive a standing order after receiving a hunt order, the standing order replaces the hunt order unless specifically instructed otherwise.

It had nothing to do with hdk being the seer (since I love to see the seer taken out early to ensure a more... Interesting playingfield).

Gigau was a good target for a hunt on day 1. It wasn't screwing over the pack. The only reason it may be considered that is you knew after the fact that the original hunt was the seer.

Since Thandros has no idea the_HDK was the seer, it could not have been interpreted as screwing over the pack. The hunt on Gigau was a decent hunt, based on his votes, so it was a good idea to switch.

The last order of the wolves counts.
It's the problem of the pack to organise themselves in such a way that no wolf is going to snipe.
That's not the problem of the GM, as you try to make it.

When i GM, i take in account the last order, unless the message specifically instructs me otherwise.

Plus, i usually, send a message to confirm what i'll do making sure that all wolves are in copy. If not counter-order arrives before deadline, i carry out the orders.

In all the lites I gmed I did it the simple way. the last orders stands. only conditions that apply are backup hunts if the 1st hunt was lynched. in that case the backup gets hunted.

no other conditions are accepted by me and should not be by any other gm.

I said this to the pack via PM during the game, and I'll say it again here - if the wolves don't keep each other in the loop regarding hunt targets, it's their own problem. Putting those extra recipients into such an instrumental PM is hardly too much to ask.
