    A House Divergent (DVG for AHD)

    I haz internetz again, so here it is, as promised.

    The game loads and plays, tho the flags are screwed up - God knows why - and I've done literally nothing to balance things. It's mostly based on APD 3.0.5, so any problems in that might be present to, but it hasn't got the map revamp work in it so the economy might actually be better, rather than worse.

    I'm not going to work any more on this, so someone else feel free to jump in and continue developing it. In fact, I hope someone does.

    I decided to post this in here too, in case you'd miss it.

    The cossacks appear to be missing. It also doesn't make its own saves, it was allowing use of my AHD saves.
    The tech tree is also the same as in APD, but the starting army names and compositions remain the same (which means that you start with guards about 60 years before you can actually train any).

    The Cossack tag may have been deleted from countries.txt; I basically went through the flag files and ensured that everything in countries.txt had flags attached. As I say, I'm not developing it further. It has a userdir in the mod file, so not sure why it wouldn't produce it's own folder - it's set up all the rest of the cache properly.

    There weren't Cossacks in DVG. When I initially started the new version, it wouldn't start because it couldn't find a country file for a PDM country so I replaced the countries.txt file with the one from the old version and it worked fine and the flags were correct.

    One of the main things that needs to be done right now to improve AHD DVG is to update the starting political and maybe social reforms for all countries for the new reforms from PDM and to update uncivs with starting unciv reforms. It needs to be decided whether DVG should move the military system back to the old DVG system or update the starting OOBs to better fit the PDM military system.

    Edit: And here is what needs to be put in the map folder to correct it: adjacencies.csv provinces.bmp region.txt

    I'm not quite sure this is the right place to ask, but I'm playing a game of Chushu, and I've annexed all of the Chinese cores, aside from Zhili. What I'm confused about is: am I supposed to annex the entirety of Manchukao in order to reunite China?

    It would seem so, as in the original DVG.
    They should add an event where, if you take all the cores AROUND Beijing they move their capital to another province, like with the Ottomans in DVG or APD.
    Or it could be that, if two other chinese countries are annexed, and Manchu didn't annex any, they move their capital as a way of protecting themselves.

    I'd say yes, APD political system, including reforms and stuff, but the DVG military and tech-tree. 3000-men brigades.

    Tried that, but there's too many changes in AHD which the old VRRP military system DVG had doesn't reflect. It took me nearly a week to get the damn thing working at all, and I have more experience converting V2 mods to AHD than anyone else by an order of magnitude.

    I'd hope that 1-2 people will take over and develop it further, using this as a baseline; I mostly put this together because when Athalcor went on crusade 5 months ago plenty of volunteers came forward to continue the mod... and then did nothing, presumably because converting it is an absolute ball ache. No excuses left now.

    Then it would probably be better to just update the OOBs then.

    You only need the China cores but this version of DVG doesn't have the right CBs yet which would allow you to take Beijing. You also don't have the correct regions. Did you replace the files in the map folder with the new ones I provided? And if so did you clear your cache after.

    There are a few major things did need to be done for DVG:
    • Starting political and social reforms
    • Starting unciv reforms
    • Starting unciv techs
    • OOBs
    • CBs
    I'll do CBs sometime today and if anyone wants to volunteer for one of the others then the are welcome to work on it but first we need to set some standards for them.

    I have completed changing the CBS, and I have correct some localizations and the starting wars.

    I will now start working on correcting starting naval techs.

    Edit: Finished naval techs now working on OOBs. I will upload the starting naval tech changes later along with reforms.

    Aeriic, are you willing to take this over completely? It could use a full-time developer, and could probably benefit from having the economy tailored to DVG properly. I' be willing to help out with advice etc whenever you needed any, but other obligations keep me from taking over DVG myself.

    I'm willing to take over though I haven't really worked with the economy before and don't know how to tailor it the DVG.

    It's mostly just a matter of adding factories if you need to, switching RGOs if you need to, and occasionally porting some APD stuff over - don't worry too much about stuff like trying to eliminate d=!d traps, changing production chains etc, I'll handle that stuff over on APD. Just do obvious things, like if there's a shortage of grain and an over-abundance of coal, change a couple of coal RGOs to grain ones.

    I don't know if it's just me or not.
    All my armies are called 204st army, 204nd army, 204rd army, 204th army, etc...
    All wars (except for the starting wars) have a 54 at the start.

    And some Bugs (maybe) everyone has. ._.
    The cossacks are missing.
    Some "Fall of Chinese Dynasties" events have the wrong text.
    One Dynasty falls: "Hey now we own Alaska!"
    King Lincoln !! : D
