    I vote for the Radicals!

I feel that it would be easy to implement some of the policies of the Radical Left (more decentralization) while remaining a parliamentarian government.

Also I'm loving the AAR, Tommy4ever!

    Radicals

For freedom, equality, fraternity, a Radical government that ensures centrist and conciliatory policies.

OOC: We need even more sinistrisme in this AAR.

Oui, let's hope that the French stay true and loyal to the true spirit of the revolution and the Third Republic for either a Bourbon or a Lenin-esque would doom the future of la république

Great AAR. I'll make sure to start following this.

Anyway, I vote for the French Communist Party. Decisive revolutionary action must be taken to end capitalist exploitation.

    PCF - 10
    Radicals - 9
    SFIO - 7
    AF - 6
    PRD - 4
    Total - 36
It seems we'll never see a landslide victory here. Right now only plausible government with a majority is grand republican coalition of SFIO-Radicals-PRD. Best elections so far

Perhaps the Radicals and the PCF and form a government, since right now we have to come to some kind of agreement or we are heading to Civil War.

How? PCF is far too radical and undemocratic to ally with the Radicals, there simply is no middle ground between both parties, one is democratic and believes in free market with social checks, while the other is a puppet of Moscow, such an alliance would trigger a civil war, butfirst in the cabinet and later expanding to the rest of France. Such coalition is not a possibility.

    {{OOC: These elections show a France as politically divided and unstable as IRL}}

Yes, after I posted that I thought about it, that's what I get for not thinking before posting. But right now some agreement must be made or we are heading to violence.

    gll25's tally was correct.

Having now just surpassed last election's turnout () it is interesting just how little has changed. The left vote is currently equal to what it was in 1918 - just with a shift of support to the SFIO, the same number of people who voted National Block in 1918 voted for its two successor parties - the Radicals taking about 2/3s of those votes whilst AF has gained one additional vote. Just thought it was an interesting trend.

As others have noted, it seems increasingly likely that the government will be an alliance of SFIO-Radicals-PRD. Combined they have a strong majority with 20 votes. But its quite a stretched alliance - PRD being as close to AF as it is to the Radicals in its policies and a not insignificant portion of the SFIO prefering revolutionary ideas (simply being against the PCF).

About a day and half still to vote! Polls close on friday at 10:30. Keep on voting!

A coalition with the PCF? Non, non, et tres non! I voted for the Radicals as a democratic alternative to the fringe parties. We can have socialism as well as democracy!

Sorry to inform you but the radicals are not socialists. If you want democratic socialism, you would be better off voting for the SFIO

Seriously, "Radicals" may be the worst name one could give that party after 1880.
