So here it is, the Second ACAs for 2012. In this round, all AARs updated between January 1st and July 1st, 2012 are eligible. Now as an experiment, and in response to feedback, the process will be a little different this time, in particular the 4 categories for each different game have been abolished so all you need to do is to vote for your favourites (this was discussed in this earlier thread. The main difference is that you can vote for up to 4 AARs in the following categories - Crusader Kings 1/2; Victoria 1/2; HOI 2/3; EU 1/2/3 and that you can only vote once in the other categories.

Voting will close on 1 August 2012.

1. There will be NO voting via PM. Any PM votes will be disregarded.
2. The Open category at the bottom of the page is for any game that does not have its own category. So no Vicky, HoI, EU or CK AARs here. The open category is NOT for interactive AARs.
3. Voting for yourself is not permitted.
4. Must have been started BEFORE July 1st, 2012.
5. Must have updated at least once between January 1st, 2012 and July 1st, 2012.
6. The winners will be the top three AARs from each category.

The categories will be:

Crusader Kings I, II - 4 votes
Europa Universalis I, II, III - 4 votes
Hearts of Iron I, II, III - 4 votes
Victoria I, II - 4 votes
AGEOD - 1 vote
Open - 1 vote


If you break a rule, you will be given a friendly reminder. If your vote has not been updated to reflect these rules by August 1st the offending votes will be disregarded but the rest of your ballot will still be counted.

I've been following Misterbean's Germany tutorial for HOI3, which is excellent.
It's strength is that he explains what to do in a way that makes the decisions you have to make in the game make perfect sense.
