I'm playing as a female ruler with a female heir. I own capua, napoli, salerno, reggio and catanzaro and I've succeeded in marrying my female heir matrilineally in the Este house (lombardia and some counties around) with the second in the line of succession.
My plan goes like this: when the first in line goes to the throne I assassinate him (with the help of my spymaster building a network in lombardia)' then my heir's husband goes to the throne, hopefully I will get a child who in the third generation will get both my little south italy territory collection and the lombardia one.
Is that plan sound? Any hint here? i'm especially troubled by the low chance for the assassination (47 per cent).
It seems to me that this marrying into big house as second in line trying later to make my way to their throne by murders is th best option when you are such a small player...
