    Crusader Kings II - 1.06b PATCH RELEASED - Checksum LFOE - NOT for problem reports!

    Okay folks, we've now uploaded patch v1.06b to GamersGate and Steam.

    The GamersGate version is up now, though it might take a while for it to show in the launcher.

    (GamersGate Mac version)

    The Steam version should be up in a few hours!

    1.06 save games should be fully compatible with 1.06b.

    - Added a separate set of Muslim feudal (Iqta) laws
    - Added a separate Muslim invasion CB with longer truce and no taking of all occupied provinces

    - MP: Fixed an OOS issue between people with and without SoI. (Unfortunately, this means modders with SoI cannot just script in any number of wives in other religions.)

    - Muslim vassals can no longer declare Holy Wars on rulers of their top liege's religion
    - Corrected the English regnal numbers to exclude the Saxon Edwards
    - Fixed a bug where breaking a truce would not actually cost Prestige
    - Added 'creation_requires_capital' field to landed titles
    - Added harsher creation conditions for the Latin Empire
    - Added proper creation conditions for the Caliphates
    - Fixed a bug with the event effect 'abdicate_to_most_liked_by' that could cause the new ruler of a non-feudal state to become independent when he should not
    - Character modifiers now correctly recalculated when a timed character modifier expires

    - When moving an army into a sea zone, it will now prefer loading onto the smallest possible fleet

    The Update shows in in launcher of the Gamersgate version of the game. But nothing happens when clicking the link.. When copy pasting the link into browser the download starts. The only problem is that it is an .exe file and I am on a mac. Any advice?

    Can we purchase the GG edition to use on Steam? It blows unbelievably giant balls to have it released earlier on one platform and not the other.

    So the expansion plus two DLCs? I guess that would be about $15 or so if I'm right based on previous "Unit/Song" DLCs.

    I just hope they haven't changed loads of character and title files (they're the most tedious ones to edit because you have to check you haven't missed any new/fixed characters).

    I prefer my de jure setup too, so I'll need to know if any new holdings have been added.

    I'm getting checksum of VPJP. I double checked the previous version, it was GUHH. Are we sure the checksum is YYEV? Do I have to clear any caches? Is everyone else getting the YYEV checksum? I hope we aren't having version control issues.

    Looks like a lot of those have been changed, but I'm not sure to what degree.

    A lot of stuff in common has been broken up, though a few important files are still monoliths:
    Most importantly, defines, objectives, and static_modifiers.

    Question about this changelog item: - If the loser in a war is imprisoned, he is now automatically released on peace

    Does the "winner", who captured and imprisoned the opponent ruler, get a hefty ransom upon his automatic release? The old system seemed to me more realistic and rewarded the winner (and penalized the loser) for being lucky enough to capture the ruler who was fighting in a war himself. Historically, this also seems more realistic where rulers were captured and ransomed for large amounts of money.

    Overall, great changelog though, and am especially happy to see how the new "weak and strong" claim system works out. Having a distant cousin come in from no-where and take the crown and country didn't happen much, if ever, in history.

    Bit busy planning the patching of my own mod, sorry Got about a hundred files to go through that conflict with 1.06.
